no mention of south Africa Anywhere, you prob build luxury boats and tugs.
notice the builders are Schelde Naval Shipbuilding. A branch of Damen in Holland.
Many BMW's are being build in SA, but you will never find any mention of SA in any BMW patent.

we are coming up. keep doubting at the expense of your own ignorance.
Everything that you manufacture end within the borders of your country. Unlike us who send it to other countries as well.

agaugust: it will make no difference because nigeria manufactures everything it needs to sustain its army in basic combat for as long as needed....
assault rifles
general purpose machine guns
grenades
light and heavy mortar artillery
bullet proof vests
night vision goggles
howitzer artillery shells
air to ground rockets
free fall bombs
bomb disposal robots
armoured infantry fighting vehicles
armoured personnel carriers
MRAPS
drones/UAV
10m to 38m naval gunboats
stealth warships
now all the above will sustain nigeria in war for as long as needed. FACT !!!
south africa depends 95% on imported European made weapon platforms to launch her DENEL made weapons, especially missiles... Gripen jets, Hawk jets, half-French Rooivalk helicopter gunship, Valour frigates, Type 209 Submarines, half-British Oliphant tanks, half-Finland made Badger armoured IFV vehicles, and many more.

Naai-jeria does not manufacture anything better than SA. You can never compare the two since SA is a fully industrialised country and "Naai"-jeria is not. Fact!!
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m):
na_chris_be_dis: you are a real donkey. mumu

did SA grow it's defence industry alone? from your attack chopper to the new badger IFV have foreign inputs.

fact is Nigeria is the first country in Africa to build a stealth warship locally. take i tongue :Pt in slowly even if it kills you

don't let envy kill you my guy. just sit back and watch Nigeria grow to overtake you.
China is building stealth warship in Nigeria with only Nigerians used as manual labourers. Nigeria is just only used as a shipyard to minimise the costs of transporting the ship from China to Naai-jeria. Unlike, in SA where we build what we acquire on our own and modify it where possible.

Under project Biro we will become the biggest.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m):
agaugust: yes and no.

south africa has a bigger land and air weapons manufacturing industry than nigeria, but nigeria has a bigger and more modern sea weapons manufacturing industry.

nigeria has the biggest naval dockyard in africa, and we are the first and the only country in africa from cape town to cairo to build a sophisticated stealth warship

.
Thanks to China.

Have a look on this:

Under project biro and millenium we will be the biggest.

sirjerry: Most of the soldiers fighting there are not from that state there were brought in from another region, some of them are the troops that were withdrawl from mali and they are not even fully settled yet, talkless of bringing their wife to combat areas.
You are very misinformed. Why do you engage in military talks if your knowledge about military is so limited? Every barrack (base) has its own permanent force which carry out duties from that base on permanent bases. It is this staff which live with their wives and children on the quaters.

For eg; Infantry have their own base (barracks) across any country. Artillery also have their own base, and so is Intelligence, Armour, Engineering, Logistics, etc.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 9:18am On Dec 29, 2013
chris365: and you think your comments on this thread so far qualifies you as a soldier? your ignorance is worse than who you accused.

get it straight to your head. dummy. NIGERIAN military doctrine does not permit family members in any conflict zone.

Military Begins Evacuation Of Families Of Soldiers Living In Bama Barracks

In a bid to sustain the ongoing military war against Boko Haram insurgents, the Defense Headquarters has begun the evacuation of families of all soldiers in Kuru Mohammed Barracks in Bama, Borno State.

The move is aimed at screening the living population in the barracks as well as to reduce the number of casualties during attacks against the insurgents along Bama-Cameroon border route.
http://www.informationng.com/2013/12/boko-haram-military-begins-evacuation-of-families-of-soldiers-living-in-bama-barracks.html
This s.tupid here, does not know that military barracks are permanent structures where soldiers and their families are housed. Temporary bases in the form of tents or havens are those that you find in conflict zones when soldiers are deployed to those region. Of course, thats when they leave behind their families on barracks.

You have never been a soldier, so you wont understand. Barracks which go by the "name" are in most times permanent structures where you will find soldiers and their families.

ckkris: 1.Nigerian soldiers don't take their wives to combat areas.
2. Nigerian Forces do not permit journalists into combat areas. Any journalist that strays into combat zones does so at own's risk.
Then, it tells me that you dont know what an Army barracks is. Every Army barracks, whether in SA, America or Nigeria has bungalows, single quaters for leader group and married quaters. It is in this married quaters where you find wives of soldiers and their children. I am one of those people who were once brought up from an Army base, just before my father who was an RSM could buy himself a house outside the base.

What you have written above is a total ignorance and I wont blame you for it because you have never been a soldier. No wonder you do not know.

Z3tdee: Shekau is alive

Maiduguru - An Islamic extremist leader in north-eastern Nigeria says the bloody insurgency will continue because Allah says they must decapitate and mutilate.

In a video newly released on Saturday, Abubakar Shekau claims responsibility for the 20 December attack on a tank battalion barracks and says his men would have eaten their enemies, but Allah forbids cannibalism.

Witnesses said insurgents put soldiers to flight and set the complex ablaze before they were driven off by a jetfighter.

Shekau warns Christians not to go to churches in this holy month, though Christmas passed in Nigeria with none of the feared terrorist attacks.

Five churches were bombed Christmas Day 2011 and dozens of people died.

The extremist leader scoffs at bounties on his head - $7m from the United States and $312 500 from Nigeria.

chris365: Let me ask you something. And please be honest with your response.

When SA military was at it's best during the apartheid. The ANC was their headache right?

They fought the ANC to the extent of invading their neighbors to neutralize ANC camps and leadership which even prompted an all out war.

Did that stop the ANC from attacking the military? NO

You can't defeat ideology with guns. You can only control it'a effect.

Or else why is the Taliban still fully operational with the presence of the best militaries in the world with state of the art counter terrorist weaponry?
Let's even come home to Algeria. (1st country in Africa to chase terrorism out of their boarders without help). Has AQIM stopped attacking till date? NO

Talk like an experienced soldier please. Not the dunce you sound like right now.
The ANC has never done the damage that BH has done on your military. The apartheid forces were feared to the core.

agaugust: your low level of military training in south africa does not teach you how islamic terrorists operate ? see what happened in kenyan shopping mall just few months ago.

if boko haram captured wives and children of nigerian soldiers, they would parade them in a video and show it on Aljazeera TV.

next is that they will demand for ransome payment or release of boko haram leaders in army/police detention.

islamic terrorists dont get valuable hostages and still keep quiet getting beaten blue black without using the hostages as a bargaining tool.

boko boys kidnapped ordinary villagers. if they have soldiers wives/kids, let them display them on video and post it to Aljazeera as usual.

hey mister, with the way you think, you will the worst performing military intelligence and investigation officer that the world has ever produced.

.
Surely, Nigerian military trains its troops about how terrorists operate, yet they cannot utilise their acquired skills.

souldust: you are one of those black Africans who see America as the heaven no one else can go to and live in. You can even use the shi.t of an American as body cream! gringringrin Dont worry, i know your type. It is called colonial/slave mentality. But in your own case, the slave mentality is worse thanks to Apartheid that denied you quality life and told you skyscrappers arent meant for you to live in.

FYI, Nigeria has the second largest diaspora in the world behind India. And no, nothing is wrong with our country. It is just the culture of Nigerians especially Igbo to travel out and explore.

You guys dont have the money to leave your Soweto republic if not, you would have deserted your Moosanzi
What about Americans who are still holding on to their country and never travel around. What about the Germans, Japanese, Italians, etc. Does it mean they do not have money to tour around? South Africa love their country dearly that they wouldnt go around adopting citizenship of other countries.

For your info, i have also been to America on many occassions.

agaugust: did you attend military academy of police college ?

an army's war success is first measured by the amount of territory it controls relative to that of the enemy.

in world war II France was recorded in history as defeated because its army was operating like boko haram from inside the bush while Germany's army was occupying the whole of France and Germany was declared the winner despite regular attacks by French army and militia (Called partisans or resistance) on the German army bases.

only a loser runs away in war and plays hide and seek, hit and run. if you have the power, you show your face big time !

.
What matters the most is the harm that they effect upon your men. Tell your military to contain them such that when the BH see them they should just run away and be seen no more. Thats what we can deduce as 90% defeat.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 9:36am On Dec 28, 2013
agaugust: I live in America and i have better CNN or BBC information that you have in far away south africa.

by the way, was the CNN or BBC correspondent present on the battlefield when boko haram attacked at 3 AM dead dark night ?

last time i checked, America and EU have withdrawn all their official personnel from nothenr nigeria long time ago, so did they use witchcraft spiritual powers to see a battle 7,000 km away ? south africans dont think, its so easy to fool you guys around cheesy

.
If you live in America, I live on the moon.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 9:34am On Dec 28, 2013
ckkris: Boko Haram is no longer in Abuja, Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa. Nigerian Forces are effectively routing them, in spite of enormous financial resources available to them, to use them to keep Nigeria so permanently impoverished as to depend on other nations, and be instructed about on what to do, and what not to do. Nigeria will ERADICATE BOKO HARAM.
Does it matter where are they? The fact is they are killing people under the nose of those you refer as the second most powerful army in Africa. Is this not a hypocrisy?
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 9:13am On Dec 28, 2013
agaugust: nigerian army has not come out to say soldiers wives and children were kidnapped, some newspapers said it, but no proof.

why cant the newspapers interview anyone whose family was captured ?

the army said some civilians were captured, yes, but could be the usual village people boko haram terrorizes.

was the journalist there at 3am in the darknight when boko haram attacked ? if he was, he wont be alive to write the story cheesy

.
Then it tells me that you are not updated. You do not move with times. Watch CNN, BCC and Aljazeera on daily bases. Your military did confirm it.

agaugust: Seleka rebels are 100% operational all over C.A.R, what did south african army do about that ?
South African Army's mission was not to fight Seleka Rebels, that would have been seen as imperial agenda. If that was their mission they would have done that long ago in 2007. Our equipments were kept at minimal by French forces which were in control of the Airport. Moreover, SA does not decide who must become the president in CAR whether by election or coup de etre.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 8:57am On Dec 28, 2013
agaugust: it is only 90% defeated fighters that do hit and run across the border, a winning army stands and fights like Seleka rebels, they never run away.
That very hit and run leaves a lot to be desired. A 90% defeated enermy wouldn't even dare to effect that hit and run which in most times leaves behind a collateral damage where soldiers are killed, buildings destroyed by fire and many more.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 8:42am On Dec 28, 2013
agaugust: Boko Haram is 90% defeated.

From attacking about 10 states/provinces in nigeria, they shrank down to only 1 or 2 states.

They no longer have a fixed base inside nigeria, boko haram now lives inside cameroon and maybe chad.

Seleka grew strong and took over the whole of CAR.

if nigerian army is weak, we could have become like Mali that islamic terrorists captured half the whole country in few months.
Boko Haram is far from being defeated because they still can manage to attack military formations and kidnap soldiers, wives and their kids. Chief! What your military is always telling the world with respect to war on terror is a pure propaganda and that has been discovered by BBC world long ago. They always inflate the number of casualties against that of their own forces and do not want Journalists to come any closer to their operations.

A 90% defeated enermy would never even dare to come any close to military base nor even challenge them on a gun fight. If you are 90% defeated it means that you are on the run and you pose no any threat at all.
