Jakumo: Any time a Nigerian informs me that they are a pastor, I grip my wallet tightly and retreat in a tactical manner while glancing furtively left and right to fend off any possible mugging attack that might be launched as I flee the scene.
In Nigeria, pastors are simply hardened criminals who have absolutely no scruples when it comes to victimizing others for profit. Armed robbery gangs retain pastors to pray for them before each mission of plunder, pillage and defilement is embarked upon.
Internet fraudsters charter pastors to pray for them before they log in to their online personas that are dedicated to fleecing the gullible and destroying the livelihoods of all who don't keep their wits about them.
Nigeria's corrupt kleptomaniac politicians and public office holders seeking to launder the raw cash they have "liberated" from the public treasury have no better accomplices than miracle pastors who load that cash aboard private jets bound for Dubai and other recently favored money laundering enclaves scattered across the globe.
For aspiring treasury looters seeking the favors of Papa God in their quest to get at the overflowing government piggy bank, special prayers are sold for a price by pastors who offer promises of success in that criminal endeavor in exchange for cash up front, and a percentage of money stolen if the goal of accessing that state money is achieved.
Fear of Nigerian pastors is the beginning of wisdom, to paraphrase a frequently used Nigerian saying. Yet any good thing you want to do in life, you urself will call pastor to open it, dedicate it, even superintendent it. I fear who no fear hypocrite! |

Americans are not wired to be disciplined and entrepreneurial with money like most Nigerians.

Americans not wired to be entrepreneurial like most naija? Where did u see ur own hypothesis? Yet they dominate richest persons in the world list, learn how to use words and how not to generalize. MetaPhysical: Let me take you through a imaginary scenario. It is not real but an illustration to show you prospects for some aspirants like Osinbajo, Amaechi, Fayemi, Obi, etc...
Imagine you have a boy born and bred in London and your son is getting ready to graduate primary school. You have choosen to bring to Nigeria for secondary school and expose him to his ethnic root and culture.
Somewhere in South Africa another parent has similar situation and wants to bring his son to Nigeria for secondary school.
In Ghana, there is a third man with similar thoughts and ambition for his son.
You see that son in London, that is representation of Osinbajo and Obi. The son in South Africa, that is representation of Wike. The son in Ghana, that is repeesentation of Ayo Fayose.
Now, you tell me, which of the three class is best fitted to hit the ground running and will not take any nonsense from any bully. Of course Fayose!
The education value and standard between London and Nigeria is so vast that you could not simply migrate a student from London to Nigeria without some serious trauma and psychological damage. The Ghana student on the other hand is at parity, the migration for him is like just a move from one school district to another.
I said this somewhere else on a different post, it is worth repeating here. Osinbajo is a misfit for Nigerian leadership. The politics of Nigeria after Buhari will be very caustic.
First, the VP will come from North. Southerners will not have input in who that will be. It will be completely up to North to select and present a VP. I assure you their selection will be a dominant individual and with a counter temperament. He will be a strong advocate and supporter for Sharia and expansion. He could also be ex-military, which would then impose a double dominance. The VP could undermine the Commander in Chiefs authority with military chiefs of staffs and overshadow his policies on security. In fact, President Osinbajo could end up with chiefs selected for him, and not the one he wants. We witnessed this with President Goodluck Jonathan.
They will undermine his administration in ways they could not if Fayose was a President in similar circumstance. They will think twice before testing Fayose because he is a fit where Nigeria currently is.
It would have been well and fine if Osinbajo or Obi were coming right after Obasanjo administration. Buhari is leaving behind a Nigeria at war, it would take a warrior to step in after him.
Remember that Fayose established anti grazing law and arrested fulani herders and threatened to arrest their leaders in Ekiti. They backed off. No governor was able to stand up for his people and challenge North the way Fayose did. If Igboho had come out when Fayose was governor, fulani would not dare humiliate him the way they did.
Osinbajo could preside over countries like South Africa, Kenya, Morrocco....but places like Nigeria, Libya, Sudan, Congo, are not a fit. Ur analogy is zero and tilting toward unrealistic. Osinbanjo was acting president everyone felt what he would have done if he oppotuned to be president. .......from spiritual point of view, God previous gave us goodluck which we rejected and went for hardluck, today, we all feeling the negative impacts, now he wants to give us second chance, dnt use unrealistic sentiment and emotion to reject hand of God again please. Wike, Amaechi, Bello and Fayose are not fit for naija president, Nigeria too complex for you to think gragra will breakdown hydraheaded problems that bedeviled her. |

The same cannot be said about this government that keeps dividing Nigeria everyday.
Buhari's body language has so much emboldened killer herdsmen and bandits to continue their heinous acts particularly in my state benue, they kill innocent people everyday and get away with it, no punishment.
He also made Nigeria the poverty capital of the world.
He's not a good and patriotic president, history won't be kind to him
My biggest mistake was voting for him in 2015 thinking he was the Messiah we've been waiting for Very sure he is regretting it now, he had golden opportunities twice but refused to do needful and another king who knows how to use sword his using it as he likes, so OBJ needs not to complain ok |

wirinet: In my opinion, Osibanjo will be a hard sell to APC and Nigerians in general. Unless Buhari uses Gestapo style rigging, it will be impossible to get Osibanjo elected as president. He just does not have the political capital. Osibanjo has zero political structure to win any election, even local government chairmanship election.
The South South and South East will not accept another Yoruba president at this time. If Buhari imposes Osibanjo as APC's presidential candidate, Tinubu and his formidable political machinery would frustrate him and APC at the general elections. I don't even see the middle belt supporting Osibanjo.
To me Buhari's best bet is Amaechi. It's still difficult, but I am sure Tinubu would rather support Amaechi than Osibanjo. Amaechi had built a political bridge with the north in his years as governor and as transport minister. Saying rubbish to sell ur s/s candidate. And if I may ask you, which structure ur own Amechi has? Go to rivers and see things urself oga. If not that Amaechi is a minister, he would have journeyed to political oblivion by now by forces led by Magnus Abe. |
