FoodRe: Do Women Even Cook Anymore by FlyboyZee: 1:50pm On Jun 15, 2011
"CAN'T COOK" and "WOMEN" are 2 things that don't go together in my dictionary.

I'm African thru and true. Its in a woman's place to cook, just lyk its in a man's place to provide what to cook.
Haba! Whats even wrong wit You peeps discussing something lyk this. Do you know that NAIRALAND is a Nigerian (African) forum?

RomanceRe: What Do You Do With Gifts From An Ex? by FlyboyZee: 12:53pm On Jun 15, 2011
Why would You even receive gifts from your ex in the first place?
Why would your ex even send you gifts if there are no intentions or motives?
What are the gifts for anyway?
What if your current date or husband finds out about the gifts, can you handle the row it would generate in your relationship?

Ask yourself these fundamental questions and you would know why there is absolutely no reason why you should accept such gifts.
Open ya eye (la ju e), You no need the gifts and this is what you should do:
1. Reject the gifts.
2. Send him/her a very stern warning, never to ever try that again.
3. Tell your husband/Current date about everything.

Christianity EtcRe: The More I Know, The More I Feel Like Not Attending Church Again (pentecostal) by FlyboyZee: 8:45am On Jun 13, 2011
@Omo-Tier1
You kinda sound pathetic. I have no doubt whatsoever that You are among the brainwashed peeps who feel their Pastors is all knowing and every member must be a worker and must pay tithes and give offerings which are recorded againts their name or else 'Daddy G O' will not recognize them as  members of his church.

Let me say here that the onus of most Nigerian Churches is no longer about salvation and making heaven, but about prosperity and living the lyf or lie or large (Whatever). The Pastors or Gospel peddlers don't even preach, they just psyche you up on reasons why should bring and bring into the church alone. At a tym in Nigeria, Pastors were mo lyk wordsmiths, playing on semantics to confuse and convince innocent peeps to make them gullible enuf to submit their hard-earned cash to them (Pastors). Now, they have gone beyond that, telling you to go to hell, if you feel it is not ryt for you to bring all your hard-earned money to them for full blessings. Some even go the extra myl by employing peeps lyk Joagbaje & co to do their biddings in Cyberspace. Make una no suprise, if them begin dey psyche us to begin contribute gigabytes of cyperspace to them as part of our tithes and offerings.

FamilyRe: Inlaws Or Exes? Which Is The Bigger Threat To A Relationship Or Marriage? by FlyboyZee: 2:06pm On Jun 11, 2011
Exes can be a pain in the Axss. Especially if they keep calling up your partner at odd hours and if both of them (your partner and the ex haven't gotten over their relationship before you stepped in). I beleive they can however be controlled if your partner or you really wants to.

But as for In-Laws, Well! hhmm, I reserve my comments.
Car TalkRe: Why Is It That Women Are Mean When Driving? by FlyboyZee: 12:38pm On Jun 11, 2011
I was driving one day in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State and there was a woman driving a car in front of me, while we were both moving at about 60-80 KM/H, she suddenly stopped and I was lyk What? Only for me to find out that she saw some children that we getting set to cross the road and she had to stop abruptly to let them cross the road. That was so "undriverly". If I had not been concentrating, I would have taken her from behind. After that she kept  blocking the road and refused to allow me overtatke her and when I eventually did, she just waved her hand in my face. In my mind, I was lyk if I had taken her from behind, I don't think she would be wavin' that hand at me ryt now. Well, just be alert whenever you are driving, 'cos that person behind or in front of you myt just be another lunatic, irrespective of sex.

EventsRe: Dear Guest, You Are Cordially Invited. But Haba It’s Not Your Wedding! by FlyboyZee: 2:12pm On Jun 08, 2011
ebony4life:
I am discussing weddings not marriage.
The focus is not on the couple but on those very important people who supposedly make the day special – The Wedding Guests!
I traveled back to Nigeria for 3 weddings in May; 2 in Lagos and 1 in Abuja. I had lots of fun and caught up with old friends. I also marveled at the advances that have been made on the Nigerian wedding scene. As P-Square would say “E No Easy O”.
Anyway, back to the guests, I witnessed so much bad behaviour that I just had to talk about it.

Case 1
Bringing Uninvited Guests

One of the weddings I attended was a small (and very beautiful) invite-only wedding. The couple chose a small venue and ensured that their chosen guests were lavishly entertained. During the course of the event, one of the young ladies that was seated on my table, let’s call her Hauwa, went to “get her friends from the door”, what she failed to mention was that her friends were uninvited. Before we knew what was happening, raised voices could be heard from the door. She was having a shouting match with the bouncers because they “had the effrontery not to” let her friends in. It took several of the groom’s friends to calm her down, while the negotiations were taking place, she insisted that they call the bride so she could tell her about the situation, at that point, everyone just gave up and her friends were eventually let in. Since there were no seats from them, the waiters had to run around looking for seats! It was just too much. I just thought to myself…But HABA It’s Not Your Wedding!
Something similar happened at my wedding too and my wife almost cried during the reception. Before we got to the reception venue in our motorcade with the invited guests after the foto session, the hall was already fully seated and we couldn't ask anyone to leave, cos it would be too much of and embarrassment. Our invited guest had to use the pool syd of the hotel since we didn't plan for such a crowd. Each tym i watch the video, I still feel very terrible and bad.

OBJ! OBJ!! OBJ!!!
Whether we lyk it or not, he has paid his dues. Be it bad or good, he has left marks even some of us can never dream of. I don't lyk him personally, but, what do U say of a man, who was a gallant soldier that fought in his country's only Civil war, became a president and still dictates to the current crop of politicians even from his farm after his presidency (I don't think we have another person lyk that in Nigeria). My father never achieved a meagre 1/100 of that. I think OBJ has done much and should be revered. Just my 5 Cents anyway.
PoliticsRe: Rochas Suspends Jobs Created By Ohakim by FlyboyZee: 11:16am On Jun 08, 2011
I'm of d opinion that, His Ex Excellency, Chief Ikedi Ohakim, Ex Executive Governor of Imo State (Nigerians Lyk titles sha) spent 4 years as Governor of Imo State. If he had meant well and had really wished to create 10,000 jobs (the no large sha) for the great people of Imo State, he would have hit the ground running as soon as he got into office in 2007 and not in November 2010 - January 2011 (Less than 6 months to go) when he was at the twilight of his administration, knowing fully well that the State may not be able to pay their salaries. I believed he wanted to use the whole employment sham to score political points and win mo votes, but unfortunately for him, it did not work out lyk that. Wrong Calculations, Poor Guy.
AutosRe: (SOLD) Fresh 2004 Liberty Jeep Up 4 Grabs by FlyboyZee: 7:38pm On Jun 07, 2011
Just did a 'Wiki' on it ryt now and discovered its a 1st Generation Liberty Jeep.
Check this out

Inspired by styling from the Dakar[8] and Jeepster[9] concept cars, the Liberty was intended as a replacement for the discontinued Jeep Cherokee (XJ). Three trim levels were initially offered; the top end Limited, a more rugged looking Renegade and the base Sport. All were made available with either 2WD or 4WD. In 2007, the Renegade trim level was replaced with the Latitude that appeared to focus more on an urban appearance.

The Liberty was the first Jeep to use two new PowerTech engines; the 150 hp 2.4 L straight-4, dropped in 2006, and the 210 hp 3.7 L V6. The VM Motori 2.8 L straight-4 common rail turbodiesel, became available in CRD branded 2005–2006 Sport and Limited models (2004 in the UK). The diesel utilized a variable geometry turbocharger and generated 160 horsepower (120 kW) and 295 lb·ft (400 N·m) of torque. The heavier diesel powerplant added nearly 200 pounds (91 kg) to the CRD's curb weight versus the gasoline model. DaimlerChrysler introduced the CRD to gauge the marketability of diesel engines in North America; diesels are already common in Europe. The Liberty was also the first Jeep vehicle to use rack and pinion steering.[10]

2005–2007 Jeep LibertyOnly available in 2005 and 2006 for the Sport and Limited models, the 2.8L VM Motori CRD has since been discontinued due to stricter 2007 United States diesel emission standards. Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, New York, and California had already banned sale of the vehicle due to their rigid state emissions regulations. The 50-state legal 3.0L Mercedes-Benz OM642 engine was used in the Jeep Grand Cherokee from 2005-2008.

The Liberty was not the first Jeep vehicle to use an independent front suspension, as the Jeep Wagoneer first used it in the 1963 model. However, that independent front suspension was limited to four wheel drive versions and, even then, was a short lived option.[11] Jeep exceeded their expectations by selling 10,000 Liberty CRD models in its first calendar year of production. In addition, the Liberty was nominated for the North American Truck of the Year award for 2002.

[edit] Four Wheel Drive SystemsThe Liberty is available with either a part time Command-Trac or full time Selec-Trac transfer case.

The Command-Trac transfer case has four positions: 2-HI, 4-HI, Neutral, and 4-LO. The lever is placed in 2WD HI for regular driving. This allows the two rear tires to receive power. The second position, 4WD HI, is used for driving on slippery or loose surfaces. This position locks both the front and rear drive shafts together splitting engine power equally between all four tires. The third position, Neutral, disengages both drive shafts from the transfer case allowing the car to roll freely; this is used for towing behind another vehicle, for example. The last position, 4WD LO is used for situations when higher torque is needed. A common misconception is that 4WD LO provides more traction. It only changes the gear ratio and does not add any more friction between the tires and the driving surface. This position, like 4WD HI locks both the front and rear drive shafts together, and by using a lower gear ratio, allows for 2.72 times more torque (however, the speed is limited to around 25 MPH max). It should be noted that using 4WD HI or LO on dry pavement is hazardous to vehicle components, through driveline binding and wheel-hop.

The Selec-Trac transfer case has five positions: 2-HI, 4-HI Part-Time, 4-HI Full-Time, Neutral, and 4-LO. The transfer case is different from the Command-Trac transfer only in the extra 4WD HI Full-Time position. The 4WD HI Full-Time position adds the same traction benefits that the part-time 4WD setting offers, but features an open differential between the front and rear axles to allow the two axles to spin at independent speeds and eliminate drive line binding and wheel-hop. The down side of 4WD Hi Full-Time is that, due to the open differential between front and rear drive lines, at times the drive train will only deliver power to the front or the rear e.g. when the front of the vehicle has reached a high traction surface such as dry pavement and the rear is in sand, the rear tires will spin with 100% of engine power, the front receiving no traction. Under equal traction conditions (front-rear) this position gives the rear wheels 52% of the engine's power and the front wheels 48% of the engine's power. The division of power and open center differential allows the Selec-Trac transfer case to be operated at all times in an "All Wheel Drive" mode with no adverse effects.

Dimeji Bankole, Iyabo Obasanjo, Dora Akuyili, Alao Akala, Mohammedu Buhari, Nuhu Ribadu, Orji Kalu etc
These popular politicians were defeated in the just concluded elections. What career advice would you give to them. Mine are below

-Dora should return to the university
-Akala should set up a security company being a former policeman
-Iyabo should set up a vet clinic
-Orji owns The Sun Newspaper, he should become a columnist
-Buhari should become EFCC new boss. He can fight corruption
-Ribadu should set up a youth NGO

What do you advice them to do?
- Dora should set up a patient medicine store or better still, a pharmacy.
- Akala should join the NURTW and vie for the post of Chairman (Lyk Tokyo)
- Iyabo should open a pet shop 2 sell hybrid dogs only
- Orji should become a Newspaper vendor.
- Buhari should follow his fellow Fulanis to escort their cattle all over the country (Herdsman).
- As for Ribadu, he can apply to my organization as a security man (we still have vacancies).

Ha ha ha ha, LOL

This should give us more reason to say great things about our country Nigeria. If there's anything we love doing, particularly on Nairaland, it is to badmouth our fatherland, our leaders etc. I think we need to change for the better.
The Bible itself made it clear that the power of life and death is in the Tongue. But, we should remember that even Christ himself confessed that " Lord, if it is possible let this cup pass away, ". He confessed with his tongue, when he realised that it is inevitable for him to die.
