Nelsonmoney: I'm a sickler and I know exactly what pain is. I relate to what your sisters have been and going through. I can't narrate my ordeal, is it the leg ulcer or the broken hip, where should I start?
As what the writer said, there's always a lesson to learn from every challenges so I've learnt not to use my situation as an excuse. I'm looking forward to complete my education and make my days on earth meaningful. Hmmm I understand. God will see you through . Yes, we shouldn't use our situation as am excuse. I'm glad you have that mindset. Cheers bro! E go better |

KingBaba1: its OK then, but I think he is fed up and not sure of any healing process in his own case. I was moved by his story and I think he fears his lifespan will expire soon and that why I made my suggestions.. Nice write up though Yeah I know but we all know life isn't a bed of roses. I think you should read my story I shared up there(slightly up). Thank you. |

KingBaba1: Sorry Bro, I really feel you, but in all just give thanks to God for the gift of life, at least you are not dead...I don't know what you do, but I will advice you get into business that is not too stressful for u, marry and have have a kid or two, I know those kids will always heal your pain whenever u see them hale and hearty I'm sorry but I have to say this. You shouldn't advice him to "marry and have a kid or two...I know those kids will always heal your pain etc". It is so wrong! A broken man should heal first before he even considers all those things you mentioned otherwise he'd be seeking solace in the wrong place. Heal first should be his top priority and every other thing shall be added unto him |

FANE4Naija: Sshhh... You do not know what he is going through. What have you added to his life by what you just wrote? God you are defending didnt ask you to, He can defend himself. Infact, I think God will be angry at you by your response- you did not add anything positive or encouraging to a person He created going through pain. I am a sickler myself and I must tell you that he is very right in his feelings. In fact, the title of this post is enough for any sickler to want to click & read it cos it says "Pain" and these people know about it more than any other people cos they experience the various types of pain- physical, emotional, financial, mental, just mention any, Sicklers have been there. In fact, I don't think there is any adult sickler that has not prayed/begged for death to come & stop the pain. So, just shush it and go on your way or pray for the brother to be given the strength to carry this heavy burden placed upon him. Bmaster, I pray for more of God's grace in your life and keep the hope alive that you will not bow out without greatness. Udo! My dear, I understand and feel your pain. |

Bmaster: Mr.op , i'm a guy of 27. Intelligent and hard working, looking cute and fearless. but i'm a sickler. i couldn't go to uni due to fact that i do have severe painful crises many atimes. my people do spend nearly #200,000 on me during each year for almost 21 years on blood transfusions which i go through at least 3 times a year. the painful episodes of severe crises i past through makes me hate GOD. NOW, tell me what do i learn from all this Modify: mr. Op, pain is not suffering,its not hardship, its not even being poor. if i can't get total freedom from pain, i must be compelled to learn being bittered. Hi dear! . You shouldn't hate God. what I'm saying in essence is that sometimes God allows us to experience Pain for us to appreciate him. It is of human nature not to like PAIN but it is essential. |

Venerable612: Tbh... I doubt IP LLM is a stand-alone masters in any University in Nigeria. It may, however, be taught as a module in a Commercial And Corporate Law LLM, if there is anything like that in the Schools, but you probably might have to research into each Uni’s Masters program.
But Yh that choice makes a whole lot of sense - the market for IP in Nigeria is quite fresh - not so many big IP disputes that I know of, but regulatory compliance are still a big deal.
If you are considering travelling - Uni of Manchester is quite a good school for IP LLM. Hope that helps Thank you very much. I asked around and it's not available as a 'stand alone Masters' in Nigeria. Yes, I'm contemplating overseas as I'd love to major in IP Law and Health Law. Thanks a bunch . |
Education › Re: Can I Complete Masters In Law Under 18 Months In A Nigerian Uni? by folake4u: 10:04pm On May 03, 2019 |
Venerable612: I think he is conscious of the cost; from his post, he seems to be more inclined towards public unis.
Buh most Nigerian unis run pure LLM and very little opportunity for specialisation... so the masters is more like a glorified LLB.
Best bet would be to really save up and emigrate - there is more room for specialisation (AI LLM, IP LLM, Corporate Law LLM, Law with Finance MSC, Maritime LLM, Space Law LLM, Oil and Gas LLM, etc.);
and, even if you do decide to come back to Nigeria, you would have a real prospect at top tier organisations/law firms. Thank you for this detailed post. I would like to do IP LLM and I dont think many Nigerian universities give room for specialisation. |

If Edo state is worse place as you described, that means your place of origin is cursed since there is no good university for you to study Ogbeni she's saying nothing but the truth. Accept it jare . I've stayed in Edo since I was born and it is true. |
