PoliticsFirm Begins Crude Oil Production In Lagos by FOLYKAZE(op): 12:22pm On May 08, 2016
An oil firm, Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum Company Limited (YFP), has started the production of crude oil from its Aje Field located in Block OML 113, offshore Lagos.
The firm said oil produced from the Aje field will be stored on the Front Puffin, which has production capacity of 40,000 barrels of oil per day and storage capacity of 750,000 barrels.

Aje is an offshore field located in OML 113 in the Dahomey Basin in the Southwest. The field is situated in water depths ranging from 100 to 1,000 metres, about 24 km from the coast.

Its Chairman Tunde Folawiyo said: “The attainment of this milestone is indeed a laudable achievement not just for YFP but for the Nigerian oil and gas industry as a whole and indeed Lagos State which can now be addressed as an oil producing state. Recording this achievement in the present global oil climate together with the peculiar challenges of the field is clearly no mean feat.”

A statement endorsed by its General Manager, Bolaji Musa, said the oil firm is a wholly owned Nigerian company and Operator of OML113. The other partners are: New Age Exploration Nigeria Limited, EER (Colobus) Nigeria Limited, Pan Petroleum (Panoro Energy) Aje Limited and PR Oil & Gas Nigeria Limited.

“After over 25 years of exploratory, appraisal and developmental activities, YFP has successfully pioneered the opening of the Frontier Benin Embayment. The Aje Field is the first field to record production from this part of Nigeria and is the first production outside of the Niger Delta.

“Commissioning of the Front Puffin FPSO was successfully completed after its arrival in Nigeria on 16th March 2016.
“We are very proud of and appreciative of the efforts, determination and commitment, of the entire Aje Project team past and present, the constant support from our regulators, the DPR and Ministry of Petroleum and our financiers. We believe this crucial support will spur us on to even greater achievements.

“The Aje Field contains hydrocarbon resources in sandstone reservoirs in three main levels – a Turonian gas condensate reservoir, a Cenomanian oil reservoir and an Albian gas condensate reservoir,” YFP added.

I don't think it is wise of Buhari to use Military force. Dialogue and negotiation is always the best option for situation like this because these so called Avengers are not like Boko Haram who kill people mercilessly for fun, be it a Muslim or a Christian. I guess a Military man only knows how to use fight in handling every problem, we have not finish that of Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen surface from no where and now this. God help Nigeria because I have a feeling this is exactly what the western world has been praying to happen. A devastated Nigeria
Shattap.

The elder over there were watching and did nothing when the Youth ganged up with the aim of grounding the economic progress of this nation. They were silent when Government facilities and that of Oil major companies are been blown up. They were watching when thei Children pollutes the environment and setting the whole Niger Delta into more improverishment. Now there will be no river to drink from. There will be no river to fish from. The Oil companies are all relocating to Lagos and Port Harcourt. Niger Delta has turn to shadow of itself.

Now listen carefully. NDA could have made their demand in a more polite and civilized way. This Government will not listen to violence and barbaric acts. They have shown the world that they are not ready for dialogue and have called for war from the Government by blowing their faicilities. Now the Government is going to answer to their calls. . .it is now fire for fire.

And the Niger Delta boys are sending the companies on their soil packing. Who are we going to blame for the social woes plaguing the Niger Delta? Is it the Gods, their backward thinking or handicap Government in states over there?

Governor Shettima of Borno state refused to call & inform the commander in chief of Chibok kidnap for political reasons best known to him but Gov. Ugwuanyi made a 3 hrs unseccessful attempt to get Buhari's attention to PREVENT the slaughter.

If your people called GEJ all kinds of unprintable names for not being able to RESCUE Chibok girls then Buhari deserves worse names for not being able to PREVENT the Nimbo massacre though he was informed as the commander in chief whose job it is to secure Nigerian lives.
What is the job of the Gov in the state? Is it not to protect life and property of the state as the chief securtity officer?

Ambode did not call Buhari before he rescued the Ikorodu kidnapped girls. He did not call Buhari before he wind down ethnic crisis in the state.

Buhari has not denied Enugu violence did not happen. GEJ denied Chibok girls and even went to Kano dancing with married woman when the people he swore to protect where whiskled away from their home.

Task your governors to get their house in order. They receive huge security votes and should invest that in the security of the state. One will need to ask those pot belly south eastern governors what they have done to the crises brewing in their state before running to Abuja. Were they expecting Buhari to take control of their sit while they continue contnue collecting salary for not doing their primary assignment?

Yall should go to Lagos, Ogun, Oyo and Ondo and ask the governors there how they wind down Fulani crisis without calling on Buhari for help. The south western governors are in charge and are not cowards like you have down east

I am tempted to call this Buhari man 'lanky old fool' but let me wait.

Could not deploy security in 8hrs to Uzo-Uwani to prevent Fulani herdsmen attack, but did that in 1hr to forestall reprisal attack from the youths.

Is Buhari not mad?
Dont you **** have a governor who is the chief security of your state

Ambode did not wail to Buhari before he waded into action and assure peace is restored in his state.

Mimiko did not run to Abuja and bark like a dog before he banned Fulani herdmens from grazing in Ondo. Mimiko did not insult Buhari before he charged his armed force and got Fulani herdmens who perpetrated their evil acts in Akure.

Ajimosho of Oyo did not wait for the federal govt before he enacted a law banning kidnapping - an act engaged by the Fulanis.

You guys should call your Governors to do something than running to Abuja looking for help. If they all think they can not wind down this problem by themselves, they should all resign.

I did this very early in the morning when late in the night before going to bed. I dont really know how he did it but I found myself charging against my religious friends.

Folykaze was the first atheist I knew. I debated with him on 2go, then on Facebook and believe me...he is damn harsh with his job. Well,he created doubts in me. He posted a link from Nairaland on Facebook during one of our debates and that was how I got here.
And now, I have been changed. I was afraid, now I'm not. I'm not an atheist though, but I speak as one. I am a theist...Lols.

Anyway...I'm still learning.
I am afraid of segregation now in school and also those religious girls don't wanna date a guy who isn't religious. So this semester, I would try and go undercover. I need a bae and finding someone around you with same inclination is not easy to come by.

PoliticsFalse Assets Declaration: Saraki Arrives Tribunal With Just 4 Senators by FOLYKAZE(op): 11:43am On Apr 20, 2016
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki just arrived the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, in company of just four Senators.

The Senators are Shaaba Lafiagi – Kwara North; Senator Kabiru Gaya – Kano; Senator Rafiu Ibrahim – Kwara South and one other Senator yet to be identified.
Saraki is currently standing trial for alleged false declaration of assets and other criminal charges which the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, claimed was carried out while he was the Governor of Kwara State.

The Senate President had until now, enjoyed a large company of Senators who had been accompanying him to the tribunal in a bid to show their support.

DAILY POST has, however, noticed a significant reduction in the number of Senators that now accompanies Senator Saraki to the tribunal in the last two proceedings.

The drop in number became more noticeable yesterday when no fewer than 10 Senators where seen in the tribunal hall among whom was the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.

However, noticeable in today’s proceedings is the former Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs under the immediate past administration, Mr Godsday Peter Orubebe.

Details shortly…
