We have arrested killers of ex-Chief of Defence Staff, Badeh – Police

By on December 26, 2018
The Nigeria Police Force said it has arrested suspected killers of former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh (retd.).

The suspects will be paraded at the headquarters of the NPF in Abuja on Thursday.

“We have made a breakthrough in the case and we’ve arrested suspects who will be paraded on Thursday,” a source told the Punch on Wednesday.

The former CDS was killed in the evening of December 18, 2018 while returning from his farm.

His Tundra Toyota truck was riddled with bullets piercing the windscreen and killing him instantly.

Out of the three occupants of the vehicle, however, Badeh was the only one that was killed thereby fueling speculations that he was assassinated.

PoliticsRe: Obasanjo: Buhari Will Call Me 'Sir' Till I Die. I Made Him Win 2015 Election by foreshore(m): 9:59am On Dec 27, 2018
20Ebisco:
Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, on Wednesday, said he’s qualified to criticise President Muhammadu Buhari, having presided over the affairs of the country and shed blood for the unity of the nation.

He said this at the 2018 Ibogun Day celebration, which attracted notable indigenes of Ogun State on Wednesday.

Also in attendance were: Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun, two gubernatorial candidates of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Allied People’s Movement (APM), Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka and Hon. Adekunle Akinlade, respectively.

Obasanjo said that Buhari would have not won in 2015 election if not for his support.

According to him, “I know Buhari and he too knows me. Till the day I die, Buhari will continue to address me as ‘sir.’ In 2015, if I didn’t support Buhari, he wouldn’t have won the election.

“I have what it takes to correct him. Nigeria should not be in the position we are today. Nigeria can be better. God has given us all that we need.

“I am qualified to speak against Buhari. One, I have done it before. Two, I have shed my blood for this country. Even my biological son has shed his blood. Why can’t I speak about what is best for this country? I am doubly qualified to do that.”

'This is one of the most AMAZING CHRISTMAS I ever had! We fought through 23rd to 24th which happen to be Christmas eve and last night the war got so hot that we have to withdraw and leave the camp to the enemies cuz they where toooo many and were trying to round us up to the center (ask my bestie FAITH MICHAEL, SHE WAS IN A WHATSAPP CALL WITH ME WHEN IT ALL STARTED AND SHE HEARD MOST OF THE GUN FIRE and BOMBARDMENTS). Right now my wrist is dislocated and I'm feeling sick. We slept in the cold bush as we watch the boko haram burned down our camp again for the 3rd time in  two months. Taday, none among us even remembered it's Christmas until a Fulani man came by and said HAFI KRISMAS SOJOJI! And Instead of saying "same to u baba" we all burst out laughing out loud and some cried cuz none of us even remembered it's Christmas, comon, it doesn't even look like Christmas here! and that was the only time we laughed today.and after the laughter we all went silent as we sobber deep within ourselves and recount the number of times God saved us from our enemies. The very reason He kept us alive to see this day. I thought about many things, the way it would have been if I am among the ones dead last night. How my family will feel loosing a son few hours to Christmas. My thoughts were so deep that even tears rolled down my check and all I keep saying from then is THANK U JESUS FOR NOT BRINGING ANY TRAGEDY TO MY FAMILY. Meanwhile, I'm still looking round maybe I'll find a bush rat to kill to at least cover up for this Christmas flexing I'm missing out (gat to make myself happy no matter the condition, u know). I WANNA WISH U ALL OUT THERE A WONDERFUL MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A PEACEFUL NEW YEAR AHEAD!!! PoliticsRe: Don't Blame The Nigerian System For Your Failure Or Else..- Atiku Attacks Buhari by foreshore(m): 3:00pm On Dec 26, 2018
stephanie11:
@POLITICSNGR

Below is a statement from PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, made available to PoliticsNGR;

"My attention has been drawn to a statement by President Muhammadu Buhari on the occasion of a Christmas homage paid on him by members of the Federal Capital Territory Community in which he blamed his inability to fight corruption on the Nigerian system.

According to the President, his administration is slow in fighting corruption because the system is slow.

My immediate response to this is to commend President Buhari for admitting that he has failed in fighting corruption. The President has just corroborated Transparency International, whose latest Corruption Perception Index shows that Nigeria is more corrupt today than it was under the previous administration, having moved 12 places backwards in the CPI, from 136 in 2014 to 148 this year.

But my point of departure from the President is in blaming his failure on the system. I disagree. The system has challenges, yes, but where there is political will, the system can make progress.

I was Vice President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007 and we used that same system to speedily convict no less a personality than an Inspector General of Police, and several others including cabinet ministers and other high officials.

Mr. President, the problem with your anti-corruption war is not the system. You are the problem!

The system allows you to arrest, try and convict your former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, who was fingered in a major corruption case, but you chose to let him go Scot free and you demonstrated your tolerance for his corruption by giving him a prominent role in your re-election campaign and recently welcoming him to the Presidential Villa with open arms.

The system allowed you to arrest, try and convict Abdulrasheed Maina, the biggest ever alleged thief in our civil service history, who is suspected of looting the pensions of millions of aged Nigerians. Yet you chose not to go that route, preferring instead to recall him, reinstate and double promote him while giving him armed guards to move about.

The system allows you to probe the $25 billion NNPC contracts awarded without due process, but you chose to bury the matter under the carpet, hoping the Nigerian people will forget about that grand scale alleged looting exposed by a leaked memo from a member of your cabinet.

Finally, nothing in the system stops you from telling Nigerians who owns the billions found in an Ikoyi apartment.

Based on the above statement of facts, I will not allow you to to make Nigeria the scapegoat for your failure. Your failure is personal, and not national.

If you could go abroad to insult Nigerian youths as lazy, why did you go to Paris to praise a governor who was caught red-handed receiving bribes on camera?

The system did not stop the EFCC from charging the opposition Governor of Akwa-Ibom, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, as a co-accused in the case involving the NBA Chairman, Mr Paul Usoro (SAN). Contrast this with the treatment meted out to Governor Umar Ganduje of the ruling All Progressive Congress.

Besides, your excuse is deceptive, because you have staunchly resisted restructuring. If you really believed that the system is the problem, you would have embraced restructuring.

Unfortunate as your admitted failure in the war on corruption is, it is your economic policy that is the greater failure. Your lack of ideas and your politicisation of the corruption war has made your administration fight legitimate businesses and the opposition.

I might add that it is actions such as this that have led to an unprecedented capital flight which has caused joblessness and made Nigeria the world headquarters for extreme poverty under your watch."

Christianity EtcRe: Daddy Freeze Is A Liar, It Is Not Nimrod We Celebrate On Christmas Day by foreshore(m): 10:10am On Dec 26, 2018
alBHAGDADI:
I came across a thread on front page this afternoon being Christmas day and it's from an Instagram post of Daddy Freeze, a well known Antichrist. This post attacks the celebration of Christmas. According to him, it is Nimrod Christians are celebrating when they celebrate Christmas. He went on to ask some questions which can be seen in his quote below.

First and foremost, Daddy Freeze put up a shallow attack on Christmas by saying it is Nimrod that is celebrated on that day. The problem with him is that he and his anti-Christmas bandwagon believe Nimrod is a god and that December 25th was dedicated to him. Where did they get their information from? They got it from Jewish fables, writings from historians who never existed thousand years close to when Nimrod existed. Yet they gullibly believe every junk article that says Nimrod is a god.

Let's allow the Bible tell us who Nimrod was, and since the Bible is our final authority on issues, every other source about Nimrod will be discarded.

Genesis 10:8-9
8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
9 He was a mighty hunter before the Lord: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord.

As seen above, the Bible didn't record anything bad about Nimrod because being a mighty hunter before God is not a bad description of a person. However, another story about Nimrod can be found in Jewish Talmud written in the Middle Ages, hundreds of years after the New Testament had been in circulation. Now imagine how far the Talmud is to the Old Testament which contains the story of Nimrod and written just shortly after his time.

The Talmud is where you will find stories of how Nimrod was a god who married his mother and gave birth to a son Tamuz who also his reincarnation... blah blah blah. Those are all fables written thousands of years after Nimrod died and by people who didn't exist during his days.

Now that it is established that it is the Jewish Talmud which said Nimrod was a god, cam we now go ahead and believe it over the Bible which didn't mention Nimrod to be a god? No. We are to stay away from the book called Talmud because there is nothing Holy Spirit about it. It is all filled with Jewish fables which the Bible says we should stay away from.

Titus 1:14
Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

We are not to take any Jewish book serious other than the Bible which is enough for us. The Jews are Antichrist, they killed Jesus and are still trying to kill his name today. They are Antichrist. because they reject Jesus as the son of God. Yet, some one wants me to stop celebrating Christmas because of an information he got from people who hate Jesus.

1 John 2:22
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son

Daddy Freeze says it is Nimrod we are celebrating on Christmas day. Before you believe the lies out of the mouth of that liar, kindly go out there and ask people currently celebrating Christmas if it is Nimrod they are celebrating. They will tell you it is Jesus they are celebrating because he is the reason for the season. It is not Nimrod's name they see when they read about Jesus birth in Luke 2. You will hardly find anyone who knows Nimrod. So to sit somewhere and say Christians are celebrating nimrod is the height of deceit.

Now, to the questions he asked. But before I answered them, I want us to all agree that whatever the Bible doesn't warm against is not a sin nor a wrong thing. Example is the Bible not warning against or supporting the use of mobile phones. It will be silly for someone to now say the use of mobile phones is wrong. Now, to his questions.

1. Did Christ ask us to celebrate his birthday?

Two can play that game. Did Christ tell us NOT to celebrate his birthday? The answer is no. This clearly means there is nothing wrong of we chose to celebrate his birthday. Did Christ tell is to celebrate his resurrection? The answer is No, but we all do because we appreciate his effort in dying for our sins and conquering death by resurrecting. Same thing with his birth which we appreciate because we know he came to save us from our sins.

2 Did the discipleship apostles ask us to celebrate his Birthday?

Did they ask is NOT to celebrate his birthday? The answer is no. So it is not a sin if we do. Anyone saying we shouldn't celebrate the birth of Jesus is simply trying to speak when the disciples, apostles, the Bible and even Jesus himself didn't speak. Those are our authority, and since they in no way told us not to celebrate our Lord and Savior, then no one should stop us.

3. Did the Bible or Torah instruct us to celebrate his birthday?

Did they instruct us NOT to? The answer is no. So Freeze has no case here also. Let's say for example, the Bible doesn't say anything about homosexuals, no one will see it as a sin. So therefore, as the bi me didn't say anything against celebrating the birth of Jesus, then it is no sin if we do so.

4. So where did we get this nonsense from?

First and foremost, it is not nonsense celebrating the birth of Jesus. Many have come to the knowledge of Jesus through Christmas. Muslims and Atheists are celebrating Christmas as we speak and hey exposed to hearing ore about the Savior our Lord Jesus. The whole world stands at attention on Christmas day. Even unbelievers have no choice but to reckon with the day. Families get reunited and loved ones share gifts. Christmas is the biggest holiday which the gate of hell cannot prevail over.

Now, to his question which is where we got Christmas from. We got it from the Holy angels who left heaven and came to earth to rejoice in the sky at the news of the birth of Jesus. It was a joyful day so much that the wicked people of those days tried to kill baby Jesus. Those wicked people are still operating today trying to kill Christmas which is a day the name Jesus sounds so loud that it echoes in all corners of the world.

We Christians decided to celebrate that day because God has given us power to bind and lose one earth anything we want.

Mathew 18:18
Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

We have bound December 25th as the day for the celebration of the north of Jesus. Nothing Satan and hell cam do against it.

khalifjgusau:
ABUJA – Foremost activist and co-founder of the Bring Back Our Girls Movement, Aisha Yesufu has taken a swipe at President Muhammadu Buhari over his handling of the recent spate of killings in Zamfara state, North-West Nigeria.

Aisha in a minute and 43 seconds video recording made available to our correspondent accused the President of playing the ostrich and doing too little to curtail the senseless killings going on in some parts of the country.

Questioning the rationale for replacing President Goodluck Jonathan with the incumbent, the fiery activist said the same missteps of the immediate past President are today being replicated by the All Progressives Congress, APC-led administration.

She said: “President Muhammadu Buhari, what kind of a leader are you, what kind of an insensitive leader are you? People are dying in Zamfara and it seems you don’t care. You are supposed to be the Commander-in-Chief, the President of this country. Everything about security is centrally in your hands and yet, you are doing nothing.”

She noted that rather demonstrate sufficient commitment to the protection of lives, Mr. President has been fixated on his re-election bid; a development she described as unfortunate.

“Your election is what matters to you; re-election is what your business is. The fact that Zamfara has turned to a place where state burial is being done almost everyday means nothing to you.

“Why then did we vote out the last administration of President Goodluck Jonathan? Was it not about the same insecurity? Was it not because of their insensitivity to the security challenges in the land? Then you came on and you are doing the same thing,” she added.

That said, the activist said at 76, the first citizen ought to realize that material things should no longer be the focus of his interest, saying, “At your age, your 76 years of age, you still don’t know that this world mean nothing.

“Nigeria gave you everything but you have denied the people of Nigeria all the things that make you what you are today.

“If the insecurity we have today was during your time and the people who were leaders did nothing, I don’t think you will be here today as a President.”

While calling for a new approach in the fight against insurgency, Aisha said Mr. President’s “lack of competence,” is killing a nation that gave him a lot in life.

Zamfara which has witnessed spates of killings in recent times was on Monday in the news yet again as scores of lives were reportedly lost to the activities of some yet to be identified gunmen.

ahmedkoded95:
Shehu Sani, the Senator representing Kaduna Central, has criticized the northern political elites over their silence on frequent killings and kidnappings in the region.

The lawmaker, in a series of tweets, highlighted three reasons why the northern elites are silent over the killings.

According to him, the fear of being against the President Muhammadu Buhari government is among the reasons for northern leaders’ silence.

Sani, on his Twitter page, wrote: “Northern political elites are silent on the frequent killings and kidnappings in the north out of any of these three reasons; FEAR not to be seen opposing the Government; BELIEF that the President is doing his best; INDIFFERENCE because it’s the poor that are dying.”

Recently, no fewer than 17 people were on Saturday killed by bandits in Magami Village, Faru District of Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
