What goes around they say eventually comes back around

sooner or later everyone sits down to a banquet of consequences

It was in this same country that a president was stoned by irate youths in bauchi
Then according to the apc the Nigerian people were only showing their dissatisfaction with his reign

A vehicle amongst the presidents entourage was burntin Niger state, still to the children of anger, it was within the rights of the people to almost have lynched their president.

The president was called a goat, his coffin was carried around on their campaign ground. He was labbelled a drunkard, even when everyone close to him testified he doesn't touch alcohol.

However, soon after they had created all of these madness, And when the apc saw what they had done, it was all good...then they rested..

So it is true? That axeman does not like another swinging an axe over their head, even in play?

So it is true, that every action begets an equal perhaps sometimes opposite reaction?

We warned them, that nigeria is a peculiar nation, of folks who pleasures in revenge..

This is the only country in the world where Once a trend starts here, it never stops, it only gets worse.

[ ASIDE :-
Until the first letter bomb went off in this country, one could have sworn it was impossible for any Nigerian to think up such mischieviously dangerous evil.. However, Since then, bombing has so matured that we have began to compete with nations like Syria and Iraq even in suicide bombings.

It wasn't up until a couple of years ago that we came to accept kidnapping has come to stay.. Then it was only the wealthy and children of the rich that were kidnapped.. Nowadays even folks plan their own abduction, to get money off their families.. We've become so good at it that Whole schools have been whisked away, some never to be heard of again.

Yes, when things go up here, they beat the very laws of gravity, and never come down.. Don't argue with me, just check the prices of good and services.. Remember where they were when you were a child, and imagine where they will be when your kids grow up to be adults.

At the point when cutlasses was introduced into secret cult fights in our higher institutions. Who could have thought then those kids would grow to pistols and double barrels.. Can you even guess how many lives that vice has claimed? Can you imagine what they would be using for their numerous intercultural rivalry 'in Say' another ten years? ]

Back to the matter

we warned them then, they were setting bad precedence.. Nigeria isn't a nation to indulge, we are a people that gets better at bad things same way others gets better at good. But did they listen? For Wia !

Today they complain of the president being booed...

E ti ri nkan kan. Day just dey break...

Wait a while longer. As the groom, you need not guess whether the bride is tall or short, light or dark skinned.. My friend, she is going to be your nemesis for a very long time. So much so that you will in your sleep be able to tell where the tiniest mole resides in her body.

PrettyCrystal:
There was a big celebration at the police office after a notorious Boko Haram Commander was arrested yesterday in Lagos. Top police officers and their subordinates popped bottles of champagne to rejoice over the arrest of the suspect, Abdulmalik Umar, said to have been responsible for the deaths of more than 200 people.

According to police report, the suspect said to be the gang-leader which allegedly killed seven police officers at Galadimawa roundabout, some police officers in Lugbe and Gwagwalada areas in Abuja as well as leading several bank robberies in Ondo, Edo and other southern states.

It was gathered that 39-year-old Umar was the grand commander of the attack and rescue operations of the Prison in Niger State early this year where he lost one of his eyes during the operation which led to the escape of over 100 prisoners.

Umar, was arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of Police (IG) Intelligence Response Team (IRT) around Mowe at a nurse’s house where he was receiving treatment for the bullet wounds he sustained during a recent gun battle with the police in Abuja.

He had fled Abuja three weeks ago when some of his gang members were apprehended.

He was arrested along with four of his Gang members as the police recovered 4 AK-47 rifles and hundreds of ammunition.

Realdeals:
In the days after this shooting, the Nigerian military posted a video of Donald Trump implied that American troops at the Mexico border should use gunfire to respond to migrants who protest by throwing rocks. That drew international attention to what happened in Abuja.

We worked with researchers at Storyful to see what footage was posted to social media from Abuja. We quickly discovered shocking scenes. It was clear the military overreacted and fired at people as they retreated, but the scenes were chaotic and it was difficult to understand what exactly happened.

We contacted sources in Abuja who sent us more footage. We were able to verify a large number of casualties from the shooting, far more than the Nigerian military admitted. So we dispatched our freelance reporter Emmanuel Akinwotu to Abuja over several days. He met survivors in hospitals, talked to witnesses and collected a trove of video evidence from their cellphones. Much of it had not been seen before.

In New York, we reconstructed what happened step-by-step, putting order to the chaos. We geo-located the site where the shooting happened – a military checkpoint outside Abuja. My colleague Christoph Koettl, a geo-spatial analyst, examined old satellite footage to see where the roadblock is usually set up — on a side road which is parallel to the highway. Emmanuel went to the scene and confirmed through local sources that traffic usually flows freely through here, as it was on the day of the march (the military said the marchers blocked traffic, but in fact the military did, when they slid their roadblock across the highway).

Christoph researched the military from logos and insignia in the footage, he identified the battalion involved in the shooting – the Guards Brigade, an elite unit that has a short chain of command to President Buhari. He also identified some of the weapons they used, including a heavy 50 caliber machine gun we could see and hear in the footage. It blew limbs off some people.

We talked to former U.S. Marines on staff, including our weapons expert John Ismay, about this and other machine guns we saw in the footage. Dionne Searcey, our West Africa Bureau Chief reported out other aspects of the declining security situation in Nigeria, and the history of impunity among the Nigerian military that allows events like this to go unpunished.

Christoph also retrieved old satellite imagery of a mass grave from a 2015 incident – he had reported on that incident for Amnesty International, where he worked at the time. Emmanuel interviewed military spokesman John Agim about our findings. He insisted that the checkpoint was attacked, the marchers intended to occupy Abuja and they had to be stopped. But what the Nigerian military did in this instance – to police unarmed protesters with live gunfire when there was no risk to life – is illegal under international law.

Crimecity:
A young Nigerian man has been apprehended by security operatived of the Narcotics Control Bureau in India for trafficking drugs.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested a Nigerian national after he was caught in possession of 25 kilograms of ephedrine.

Officials said they received specific inputs about the Nigerian national's involvement in ephedrine trafficking.

The officers then placed him and the area under surveillance, following which his house was raided.

During the search, 25.2 kilograms of ephedrine, a control substance under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, was recovered. The drug was concealed in thread rolls, the police said.

The arrested accused has been identified only as Prince, and has been under the agency's radar for his involvement in another case of drug trafficking, for which he was booked earlier this year.

"Preliminary investigation revealed that he came to India in 2010, and had been overstaying in Delhi without a valid visa. He also revealed that he used to procure this substance from his associates in Delhi, and would further send the drugs to Nigeria and other African countries with the help of African carriers for the preparation of Amphetamine Types of Substances (ATS)," said Madho Singh, zonal director, Delhi Zonal Unit, Narcotics Control Bureau.

The officers added that they are looking out for Prince's other associates. Concerned foreign authorities have also been informed.

PoliticsRe: 2019: Why Nigerians Must Not Vote PDP - Tinubu Reveals Reason by foreshore(m): 9:26pm On Dec 17, 2018
stephanie11:
@POLITICSNGR

The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Monday called on party members to work hard to ensure victory for the party in 2019 general elections.

Tinubu made the call in Ikeja while addressing members at the ACME Road party secretariat.

PoliticsNGR gathered that Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode, his Deputy, Dr Idiat Adebule, APC governorship candidate, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his running-mate, Dr Obafemi Hamzat attended the meeting.

Tinubu urged members to immediately begin to reach out to residents the need to sustain the development strides in the state and at the federal level by voting for APC.

The APC chieftain described the 16 years of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as years of failures and monumental corruption, saying the opposition should never be allowed to return.

Tinubu further appealed to them.to at least, deliver three million votes for Buhari, Sanwo-Olu and other APC candidates, to further the progress of the state and country.

”We must maintain a strong outing for APC; the party of progress, the party of development, the party of the economy in 2019.

”We must differentiate between a development economy from a container economy of the PDP.

”We must educate our people that, we will not accept or allow Nigeria to be corrupt again, never!

”We have seen the 16 years of their failures and empty promises. We should never allow a return to that era.

”There are six million solid votes in the state. I challenge all of you; your target must be 50 per cent of that votes, three million votes.

”Or the entire six million votes for APC, for Buhari, Osinbajo, for Sanwo-Olu,for senators and other candidates in the state,” he said.

Tinubu commended members for putting the differences of the primaries behind them, urging them to carry the spirit of unity into the elections.

The APC chieftain said the party had not officially inauguratef campaigns because it was awaiting the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to publish final list of candidates.

According to Tinubu, said as soon as the list is released, campaigns would begin in earnest.

Also.speaking, Ambode urged party members to forget past grievances and approach the general elections as a united house.

He said if he could accept the outcome of the governorship primaries, party members should settle whatever differences with one another and work for progress of the party.

” I appeal to all our party members, who are in one way or the other been wronged or feel aggrieved that they should find a place in their heart to let it just be the same way I have accepted the greatness of the party.

”The party is supreme to all our individual interests because it has a common good for all of us and we must find a place in our hearts to let the party reign supreme.

”I want to further appeal to all our party leaders, when there is a platform for reconciliation, they should proceed also to continue to reconcile.

“When there is a platform for compensation, they should also make those promisory notes.

”All our aspirants who are not candidates must be ready to sacrifice for the collective of our party. It is very important so that we can move this campaign forward.

”It is only when you win that we can compensate. It is only when we win that we can reconcile. So, let us have that collective decision to move APC forward,“ he said.

Ambode also urged them to give the necessary support to Buhari, Sanwo-Olu and all the party candidates to ensure resounding victory.

Sanwo-Olu, in his speech, urged residents of the state to reject the PDP, adding the party had no capacity to move the state forward.

He said the state progressed, exponentially, under APC denied the claim by the PDP candidate, Mr Jimi Agbaje that the state was under bondage.

Sanwo-Olu said that a state that had grown to be an economic giant in Africa, with opportunities for residents, could not be said to be under bondage.

The candidate urged advised the people o keep faith with the APC for more development in 2019.

Government Agric Efforts Crash Prices of Food Items in Lagos

ON DECEMBER 17, 20185

Various government efforts at revamping agriculture may have started yielding results as prices of tomatoes and pepper have reduced in major markets in Lagos. God’s market… A survey by NAN on Monday at Mile 12, Oyingbo and Iddo markets showed that a 40kg basket of tomatoes goes for N5,000, from its previous price of N10, 000 in November and N29, 000 in July.

A 50 kg basket of ‘tatashe’ (pepper) decreased from N14, 000 to N8, 000, while a basket of chilli pepper (rodo) also dropped from N13, 000 to N8, 000.

Mr Femi Odusanya, spokesperson of Mile 12 Market Perishable Foods Traders Association, said that government’s efforts in agriculture might have started yielding positive results on the prices of food.

“About two to three years ago, fertilizer, a major farming input, was sold at about N10,000 to N12, 000, but now fertilizer goes for about N6500 in the market.

“Some state governments in the North are giving tractors to farmers free of charge to plough their land and also access to improved seedlings. “Definitely, all these have impacted, one way or the other, in reducing cost of production for most farmers and the result is now evident for all to benefit from,” he said. Odusanya said that prices of the commodities might even reduce further before Christmas, due to the increasing supply from about 80 trucks to 120 trucks daily to the market. Our cost of transaction, fees, attractive — SEC boss He urged government to sustain efforts and also invest more in mechanized farming to boost food production and sufficiency in the country.

However, price of a jute bag of onions increased from N28,000 to N35,000 while one kilogramme of frozen chicken and turkey goes for N1,000 and N1,100, respectively. Live chicken is sold for between N3,500 and N6, 000, depending on their sizes. Also, a 50kg bag of rice ranges between N16, 500 and N22, 000, depending on the brand, a 25 litres of palm oil goes for N11, 500, while a measurement of “garri’’ cost N380. Some of the traders also attributed the drop in the prices of food to the massive supply of food items occasioned by harvest season. (NAN)

President Muhammadu Buhari will depart Abuja on Tuesday for Zinder, the Republic of Niger, to participate in the programme of activities marking the 60th anniversary of the formal Proclamation of the Republic of Niger.

The President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, made this known in a statement in Abuja on Monday.

According to him, at the invitation of President Mahamadou Issoufou, the Nigerian leader will join fellow West African leaders as Special Guest of Honour at the event.

The presidential aide stated that the participation of the Nigerian leader was in furtherance of the deep historical and cultural relations between the governments and peoples of both friendly nations.

Activities lined up for the celebrations in the ancient south-central town and former capital of Niger, which lies 240km north of Kano, include military parade, cultural and artistic displays.

Adesina revealed that Buhari would be accompanied by Governors Mohammed Abubakar, Nasir el-Rufai and Adegboyega Oyetola of Jigawa, Kaduna and Osun States, respectively.
