eddyme:The question is simply asking if you've stayed in any countries for 6 months..... if you've not travelled or stayed so long in any country, the answer to this question should be "NO" It will end in praise |
Adurami040517: Adurami040517:The current passport bio data page should be uploaded in the Passport column provided in your mycic account. Your relevant travel histories should be scanned and uploaded in the clients supporting column. Please don't upload your expired international passport bio data page. It's totally irrelevant to the immigration of Canada. In the meantime, if you have questions or concerns of any kind. Don't hesitate to reach out here for assistance. It will end in praise |
Insanity:A detailed job reference letter would work perfectly in your application. The letter should be in the company's official letter headed paper and should highlight the following - 1. Your job start date, 2. Your job responsibilities and duties with the said company, 3. The number of hours you work per week, 4. The letter should confirm the fact that the company is aware of your wish to acquire an advanced knowledge in the field of xxxxxx at xxxxxx school in Canada. 5. The letter should be written by the HR and duly signed. Note - With this letter you don't require a job offer letter. You can include a study leave letter to further buttress the fact that you would be returning home after studies. I hope this information helps. It will end in praise. |
Adetayoade1:Exactly Boss! The Visa officer at the Canadian Embassy will not approve or send a medical request without collecting the applicant's fingerprints and face (biometrics enrollment details). Unless in the circumstance that you're not a first time applicant, then your application can be approved since your previous biometrics is valid for a decade. It will end in praise |
Toshotosho:Your application has exceeded the standard processing times. Kindly raise a CSE using THE NAIROBI WEB FORM enquiring about the current status of your application and asking if they require additional documents from you that could expedite the processing of your Visa. Thank the immigration of Canada for taking their time in processing your study visa and the fact that you're looking forward to a positive consideration in your application. It will end in praise |
Ollydollar:Report the issue to the Technical System Admin of IRCC. They will be responsible for unlocking your Mycic account. |
oma22:Congratulations Chioma, I'm happy it worked for you. |

librangyps:You have to complete your biometrics first before a medical request will be initiated by IRCC. In the case that you're a first time applicant, you can submit your application and wait for 90 days prior to submitting your fingerprints at the VAC. During this time the first check which is the R10 check will be done on your application at the Canadian embassy by the immigration case analyst while the Visa processing will be pending until your biometrics details have been sent to the Visa officer and properly updated on your Mycic account. Wadogho: Wadogho:Preferable you should apply to University of Saskatchewan since that's your second choice. It's way much better than MUN in consideration of its undergraduate admission requirement. I'm only trying to save you from the stress, time and effort you might waste seeking for undergraduate admission from MUN. I know people that have been there and how things turned out for them. Experience has been the best teacher for me. I will advice you stick to my advice. Following your questions about MUN undergraduate admission, what is required is your WAEC confirmation of result, you need to pay N10,000 to the WAEC office at yaba to prepare this document and an additional N14,000 for them to send it via courier to MUN. For the English proficiency requirement - You will have to register and pay for the IELTS (academic option) exam fee of N75,000, read and must attain overall 6.5 band with no modules below 6.0band. Bear in mind, that there is also no guarante you will achieve this score after writing the exam. Now, can you see how much you've spent just to secure an undergraduate admission into MUN?. The entire process will also take between 2-3 months. I have given my advice, the ball is on your court to decide. It will end in praise |
segzyndpep:Aside the annual tuition. You need to show POF for your living expenses which is $10,000CAD and extra $2,000CAD for miscellaneous expenses (flight itinerary) It will end in praise |
Cowbell521:Yes, a few number of applicants have been receiving medical update from IRCC. |
segzyndpep:Alright boss. Keep me posted whenever the time comes and I will be happy to assist you with your application. It will end in praise |
Wadogho:Why go for MUN that requires english proficiency exams (IELTS or TOEFL) for undergraduate programs?. I would best suggest you save yourself this entire stress, time and money of sending your confirmation of WAEC result via courier to MUN, waiting for them to update it on your application portal and also sitting and writing the so called IELTS just to attain 6.0 band. It's pays if you channel this effort to a better school with easier admission process. Apply for an undergraduate degree to schools like i) University of Regina, ii) University of Saskatchewan, iii) University of Winnipeg. The undergraduate admission process takes exactly 1 month for the University of Regina and 1 week for the University of Winnipeg, and University of Saskatchewan takes about 3 weeks. So make a selection from the list putting into consideration the cost of the program in those schools. You're in the right place for guidance. Do this and thank me later ![]() In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter, don't hesitate to reach out here. It will end in praise. |
nicerichard05:Why the high rate of visa refusals from IRCC during this global pandemic? Its getting alarming day by day and not encouraging at all. Please put yourself okay, do share the refusal letter when it finally drops. |
Annettevoke: Luckymama:@Annettevoke, Sorry for the late reply please. I hope the response from Luckymama greatly responds to your concerns. If you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to reach out here. It will end in praise |
22tobiade:The standard visa processing for Nigerian applicants is currently 7 weeks. Both masters, undergraduate and diploma program are processed within this time. However, about 20% of applications are more complex for the immigration officers to process due to things like how easily they can verify information, how well and how quickly an applicant answer their requests and whether the application is complete. All I can say is that you should proceed with your visa application and hope for a positive outcome. It will end in praise |
Austacus:You forget to include the following acronyms which are commonly used on this thread. SOA - Statement of Account SOP - Statement of Purpose POE - Point of Entry SOWP - Spousal Open Work Permit. PFL - Procedural Fairness Letter BVL - Biometrics Validity letter Hope you're staying safe bro? |
Oloshi83:Have you checked McGill, University of Saskatchewan, University of Alberta, University of Ottawa, Simon Fraser University, Brock University etc Let me know how I would be of assistance to you. |
goldbergg:Yes it's very possible to do that only if applications for September 2021 is open. Simply write with cogent reason to the international admission office of your school requesting for a deferment to the next available term. It will end in praise |
Goldmia:CSE simply means Case Specific Enquiry. You use THE NAIROBI WEB FORM platform to enquire about the current status of your application as well as to include additional documents which you deem fit to be useful in your application. You don't need a police character certificate for study visa application. It's an optional document. It will end in praise |
Onweke:After paying first year tuition fees, you should have 3.5M left in your bank account for one year program living expenses. It will end in praise |
OluwaFavored: OluwaFavored: OluwaFavored:My sincere apologies to have skipped your questions and was busy responding to other prospective applicants concerns. Fast forward to your questions, 1-) To be eligible for a self-sponsorship. You must show proof of means of financial support for the remaining miscellaneous expenses that might occur during the course of your program in Canada since the second year tuition is 75% funded. You can add your uncle as a co-sponsor to your visa application basically to cover for the living expenses in second year that's if the funds in your account isn't adequate enough to sustain you for the subsequent years. 2-) Withdraw the EE and include the UCI number in the IMM 1294E application form given that your CRS score didn't meet up with the current Express Entry draw (455 on April 16, 2020). 3-) Tuition - Indicate your first year tuition fees as stipulated on the acceptance letter. Room and Board - 10,000CAD Others - 3,000CAD Funds available = Total tuition for the first year, plus room and board plus others. This makes up the funds available for my stay. 4-) Declare your martial status as married. You can sign the form even though you're in the US. All you need to do is to fill the form with the necessary information, sign and send it across to your husband to append his signature and send it back to you to include with your application. Sequel to your last question, marriage certificate is a compulsory document for candidates with spouse. This document is the only way to prove to the visa officer that you're legally married to your husband. gregsamo:It might be a degree equivalent but that doesn't guarantee you a space for a master's program in Canada. Prior to be granted a master's admission in any of the designated institutions in Canada, graduate admission department always take into consideration your undergraduate GPA of which yours is an HND certification and not a Bachelor's degree. As i earlier advised, your better option is going for a PGD program in Canada without declaring the previous PGD during the visa application. This is the feasible way to increase your chances to be granted a Visa to study in Canada. I hope this information helps. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter, don't hesitate to reach out here for professional assistance and advice. It will end in praise |
Rollyxxmv:I regret to hear that your study visa has been rejected the second time. I would like to see the recent reason for a refusal from IRCC before I can be able to assist you on the best possible way to prepare an airtight and successful study permit application. Be strong, don't give up. It will end in praise. |
NwanyiOkpa: NwanyiOkpa:The first question has already been answered by me.... please refer to my previous post about using ONLINE GENERATED BANK STATEMENT for a study visa application. It is the responsibility of the visa officer to determine whether your sponsor has the financial capability to cover for the subsequent years of study. This is achievable by going through your sponsor's financial history and ongoing turnover in his/her bank statement. That's the more reason it is very important to show excessive funds available especially if your program duration is more than a year. Following the financial illustration given by you... Tuition and living expenses for the first year is = 31kCAD. Your sponsor should have a total sum of 12.5M and above to show adequate financial resources to cover for the first year of studies and ability to sponsor the subsequent years of study. It will end in praise |
Naijaforeigner:Amen!!!!! Thank you my brother. You've also been very helpful and productive here. I appreciate you bro. |
Chalva:It's quite unfortunate that IRCC doesn't practice the first come first serve basis when processing a visa application. This is as a result of individual case differences as every applicant's application is unique and as such treated based on the visa officer's perspective. About 20% of applications are more complex for the immigration officers to process due to things like how easily they can verify information, how well and how quickly an applicant answer their requests and whether the application is complete. I hope this information helps. It will end in praises. |
May06:A) Tuition fees are interpreted by the visa officer as school fees. Those ancillary expenses are seen as your miscellaneous expenses during the course of your study. Consequently, why the OTHERS was provided in the financial aspect of the IMM1294E (Study permit made outside of Canada form). B) Having a sibling who also took same study permit route and presently in Canada as a permanent resident doesn't adversely have any negative impact on your application. The onus is dependant upon you to ascertain the facts that you've significant ties to Nigeria irrespective of the fact that you've a sibling in Canada. This is where social, economic and professional ties like (landed properties in your name, your beloved aged parents, registered business in Nigeria, lucrative career prospects from your present or future employers in Nigeria, your fiancee which you intend getting married upon the successful completion of your program) now comes in play. I hope this information helps. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out here for assistance. It will end in praise |
segzyndpep:Your application is barely a month now and still within the standard processing times for Nigeria applicants. You should be expecting a response from IRCC by month end or in May. It will end in praises. |
Goldmia:Don't be confused about it. IRCC has stated that it will not refuse applications for non-compliance and it will continue to accept and process applications that are in progress at its case processing centres in Canada and around the world. Moreover, when it comes time to submit biometrics, applicants will actually have 90 days to complete this step instead of the usual 30 days. Additionally, you can raise a CSE for extension of the biometrics. I hope this information helps. It will end in praises. |
Lekiboboe:Actually, it depends on the requirement and documents you used in opening this account. There might be restriction of some sort if your savings account is still a student account. I know very well that a regular Nigerian Savings Account can accommodate 10M and above. That being said, its advisable that you should confirm from your bank if there is any limitation as to the amount your account can accommodate. You don't need a teller to prove at the point of entry that the money is rightfully yours. All the immigration officer wants to know is the amount you're bringing into Canada and be truthful as possible by declaring that it's for your living expenses. I am certain you will be fine. Also, it's important you also go along with your tuition receipt (if you've made any deposit to the school). I hope this helps. Lest I forget, I prefer you address me with my name Frank not with the title "Oga" . We are here to assist each other and thus there shouldn't be any practice of hierarchy on this thread. As I always say on this platform, "I'm thy humble servant to command".It will end in praise. |
