ralfudoh:Valid! You've spoken well my brother! |
waynee2baba:Definitely! We are both intelligent beings from different school of thoughts. So we can't agree on same perspective. I hope to see more of your contributions here. |
Mykman1202:Go ahead and share your details! |
Nobleman61:CAIPS is the previous name before it was changed to GCMS note. It's same thing. You can't be too sure if finances werent among the reasons for your refusal. The GCMS note will be in a better position to provide clarity to the factual reason for your refusal. Hence, it's important you order for one ASAP! |
waynee2baba:This moniker self!.... . Whenever you want to put up a debate/argument to proof my post wrong. Please do come up with facts and relevant proof to back your claims, because before I drop a comment on this thread, I am always conscious of the authenticity of the information. I don't say what i am not sure of or hearsay! Many on this window can attest to this. |
waynee2baba:Believe it or not. IRCC has reached their quota for the fall term 2019. Any pending Application that hasn't received a medical invite/update since June is likely to be turned down with flimsy/generic reasons. I'm giving my points based on the vast experience I have enjoyed in this process. |
olalemii:3-4 months prior to school resumption that's the ideal time to apply for Canada study Visa. |
waynee2baba:You made mention of SOLID Application and here you're deviating to SOLID OR PERFECT!... I reiterate, there is nothing like SOLID applications elsewhere. Every Application is Unique and must undergo same scrutiny like others. |
waynee2baba:You don't seize to amaze me with those word of yours! I am not giving anyone BP here. What I am telling you is the real fact! Any applicant that applies late towards a resumption date is at risk of been rejected as the applicant is giving IRCC a limited time to process their application. Confirm the authenticity of this information and I'll provide proof to my claims. |
waynee2baba:There is nothing like SOLID or PERFECT Application as you sound. Over my two - three years of experience of handling Successful Canada Visa applications, I have seen on several occasions where an airtight application, I mean applicant's with full funded scholarships getting rejected of their Visas. Hence, when it comes to Canada study visa there is nothing like the word SOLID applications. Every applicant's Application is unique and as such the visa officer will employ his discretion in assessing the overall information provided with the application. Most times the imperfect applications are the ones receiving PPR whilst the SOLID ones as you said, are been rejected. |
jessyeve:You got it right! Applicants should be looking forward to applying for their Visas now for January Winter Term. Third week of December the visa officer's will be on leave and commence duty after the Xmas and New Celebration. The best time is NOW!! |
Owoch:Glad you find it useful. Success! |
Dynatron:Sorry about the outcome of your application. Check for trusted websites on the internet to order your GCMS note. This forum doesn't encourage the advertisement of third party websites. In the absence of your GCMS note, can you kindly share your profile and the list of documents you submitted along side your refused Application. It shall end in praises |
Nobleman61:The high rate of refusals recently from IRCC for Study Visa Applications is NORMAL as we do encounter same experience towards the start of every fall term. The rejection is a clear evidence that IRCC has reached the specific number of Temporary Resident applicants to be admitted/issued visa for the September Fall term, 2019. I will therefore sincerely urge all applicants to defer their Admissions to January and apply in time so as to be able to meet up with their resumption date! It shall end in praises |
ebby29:Hello ebby29, I can really understand how disheartened and depressed you're at this point after been rejected for the third time. However, I would like you know that few people have achieved success by trying once and most people who have achieved success in their various applications is because they have tried multiple times. The more you try, the more chances you give yourself of succeeding. Even Rome itself, wasn’t built in a day. Giving up signifies that you no longer believe in your capabilities and strengths. Giving up means that you are not ready to learn from your mistakes. Giving up means that you have accepted defeat. Instead, carry on with the struggle, put more effort, avoid the wrong turns that you made before and appreciate the fact that no Application, absolutely no Application, is perfect! Always remember, that for you to be successful, you must believe in yourself even when things are not working out as planned! Share me your profile here. Let's see how it goes in your next Application! My sincere apologies to those that were recently refused of their Visas. It shall end in praises for everyone. |
foliat:Is NOT compulsory to upload an NYSC certificate! If it's not available! The visa officer is more concerned about the following: 1- Financial Sufficiency that will cover for your first year tuition and living expenses. 2- Your intent to study and reasonableness of undertaking the planned studies in Canada (Purpose of Visit). 2- Home ties in Nigeria and/or Canada that will motivate your departure from Canada at the end of your authorized stay. Therefore, you can include your ND and HND to evidence that you've attained a reasonable level of education. |
Nobleman61:Your refusal grounds have already been tackled and explained by me in a post as at December 2017. Kindly refer to this link; https://www.nairaland.com/3948393/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/391#63425662 After going through the post, feel free to ask me anything and I'll be happy to assist you. Also, order your CAIPS file as that will give us a clearer picture of the reason for your refusal. Ps: Pardon me if I'm referring you all to my previous posts, but I'm doing this so you all would know that all your concerns and questions have already been answered on several occasions on this thread for over the past 2 years plus until now. Do good by reading the past threads and gaining valuable information that will be helpful in your Canadian Study Visa pursuit! It shall end in praises for everyone! |
nonipeter:Sure you can include the valuation report/certificate of the property as proof of your tie to your home country. However, you can't use the housing property as primary proof of funds for a study visa application since you noted that your dad has a very low statement of account. I would therefore suggest your dad should build his account to a reasonable sum that can cover the cost of your first year tuition and living expenses and have some left for his immediate family as well as his personal welfare before applying for your VISA. I hope this helps |
rippyblogger:I regret to hear your visa was rejected! As per the GCMS note; I will suggest that you put more effort in constructing a persuasive SOP/LOE that will demonstrate that you're a bona-fide Applicant and would depart upon the completion of your studies. The SOP should extensively and convincingly explain the lucrativeness of such program in your home country. If it is financially rewarding that can offest the cost of the program in Canada. The range of opportunities the program in Canada will bring to you as a person. What you intend to achieve in a short-term and long-term basis. The difference you could make when you return to your country e.g working for a short-term in order to gain practical experience and bringing in your acquired practical experience from Canada to your employer and afterwards setting up a company of your own and creating wide range of employment opportunities for your country men etc... * Proof of properties located in your country of residence preferably in your name(or parent's name that you're directly heir to). This assets could be land, house or a registered business etc.. * Proof that your immediate family members (aged parents, siblings, spouse and kids) are in Nigeria and aren't accompanying you to Canada, would also be a strong reason for you to go back home when you have finished your studies. * Financial obligations and moral responsibilities which falls on you such as leadership role, military, community, church and family that you must return to continue active participation and attendance in meetings. (A letter from any of these bodies would help). The above listed ties could be your unwavering commitments back home and for this reason when adequately explained in your SOP/LOE should be sufficient to satisfy the visa officer that your economic incentives of coming back to Nigeria far outweighs that of Canada as stated on the GCMS Note! Travel history - is not a factual reason for a Canadian study visa refusal. Hence, you don't need to travel out from your home country before you can get your application approved. if you have not travelled before, you can simply explain to the Visa officer in your SOP that you don't like traveling or haven't thought of travelling abroad before. You only want to travel now at this point in your life because of how important this BSc/MSc/PhD is to your career back home which would create lots of outstanding opportunities in your career and personal development Or you can say your busy work schedule doesn't allow you to travel. It shall end in praises |
Nobleman61:I regret to hear your visa was rejected.... There are trusted websites you can use to order your GCMS notes. This forum strongly prohibits the advertisement of third party websites. I will urge you to check the internet as well as the reviews of people before using any site to order for your file. Also, do well by sharing your profile: Your intended program, previous studies, level of education, sponsor, institution, as well as the refusal grounds etc.. This will give us a clue on what went wrong with your application and possibly advice you on how to prepare an airtight application. It shall end in praises. |
sashaa:Sorry about the refusal Sis. Please can you share a detailed breakdown of your profile. Your intended program, previous studies, level of education, sponsor, institution, as well as the refusal grounds etc... So we could know how best to assist you in preparing your next reapplication. Brace up Sis! This is just a stepping stone for you. It shall end in praises. |
Phatkings:This question has been answered countless times on this thread. Please refer back to my previous post in 2018 via this link: https://www.nairaland.com/4773130/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/33#72169936 |
Joshnerl:Yes they will |
Joshnerl:1- The university of Winnipeg (Admission process takes 2-3 weeks) 2- University of Regina (Admission process takes 3-4 weeks). 3- University of Saskatchewan (Admission process takes a month) The above shortlisted schools doesn't require an applicant to write an English proficiency test. So feel free to begin your application for admission. |
Daicon01: nicerichard05:It's not compulsory to maintain/keep the money you used for your application until your VISA has been approved. The visa officers at the Canadian embassies are well informed that Sponsor's who are business oriented do make use of their funds for business transcations and shouldn't be expected to tie down their funds on the basis that they are sponsoring an applicant to pursue an advanced education in Canada. That is the more reason they requested for a history of ongoing inflow and outflow for the duration of 4-6 months, in order to ascertain the Sponsor's financial capability of financing the applicant's stay in Canada and the possibility of funding the subsequent years of study. Therefore, the long and short of this story is that you can make use of the funds but endeavor to have some left in the account. These funds shouldn't be borrowed from any family member/friends as you might be cheating the system and end up in misrepresentation. I hope this information provides clarity to your question. |
SmallerB:Congratulations on your approval. This isn't something you should worry about. I HAVE BEEN APPROVED OF MY VISA, BUT I AM YET TO RECEIVE AN INTRODUCTION LETTER ON MYCIC ACCOUNT Below is a drafted sample mail by me that you can send to the Kenya Immigration office; Hello Respected Sir/Ma, I hope this mail meets you well. My name is XXXXXXXX , I am a successful Canadian study visa applicant. I write to inform you that my application was approved on DD/MM/YYYY and my visa has also been appended on my passport. However, I haven't received an official introduction letter from your office which I am to submit to the immigration officer at the point of entry into Canada and that troubles me a lot as my course intake is drawing near, and my flight has already been booked for DD/MM/YYYY. Kindly assist me with this issue and expedite the processing of my introduction letter. I do not want to miss classes and the orientation week as that would make it difficult for me to adjust later, putting into account the difficulty of settling down in a new country as an international student. High Regards, XXXXXXXXXX Contact info via Webform : https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=Nairobi Contact the Nairobi Immigration office via this email: nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca The subject of the mail should bear URGENT, along side the applicant's FULL NAME, UCI NUMBER, APPLICATION NUMBER AND DATE OF BIRTH. BTGbenga:Hopefully after the web maintenance today....Many positive news will start unveiling for prospective applicants awaiting response from IRCC. It shall end in praises |
Owoch: Owoch:Yes you can change over to any course or institution in Canada after a Study Permit has been issued provided that you've received an official acceptance letter from the college you're intending to transfer to in Canada. However, you need to inform IRCC about this change via your MyCIC Account through this medium https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/change-schools/account.html and also proof that you've officially withdrawn from the University. That being said, you don't need to apply for a fresh study permit. |
Samuel2021:This question has been answered already. https://www.nairaland.com/5233221/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/221#81283778 |
afroxyz:IELTS General for Post graduate admission - NO IELTS General for Express Entry - YES IELTS general is solely for immigration purposes and not for academics. More so, you don't require an english proficiency exam as a prerequisite prior to your acceptance into any of the Canada's DLI in view of the fact that Nigeria is an English speaking nation as well as during your undergraduate studies all instructions were carried out in English language. |
Austacus:I remain faithful; Hope the studies is going very well there? Nice to have you around today |
