It took you too long to act. First of all I will say the driver looks like someone that won't be willing to return a money mistakenly paid to his account though we are told never to judge a book by it's cover. What I feel you should have done was to go and complain to your bank immediately it happened and have them place a lien on his account. That way it is through the bank that he would have been contacted. If he doesn't want to yield, his inability to transact with his account would have forced him to resolve it. Now that you have contacted him before even talking to the bank, the possibility of that money being intact in the account is no longer there... For Uber though as a company there are not supposed to act in anyway that will make it seem they are supporting crime or criminals as it would dent their reputation. However, the account you transferred the money to is for the driver and not Uber as company so eventually there may not be able to do much.. Where you would have gotten help with any information you able to obtain eventually from Uber would have been through the police but hey, this is Nigeria and you already been given a price to pay which may not even be the total amount you will pay... It now dicey as everyone that hear about will want to get a share of it. However if your bank is dragging leg you may mail them with evidence copy CBN and EFCC and it doesn't work as fast as you want, you may eventually have to sacrifice for the police or Lawyer to get the chance of it back. |
Ochux01:Wow... Diversification of investment advert.. Hmmmm... Suddenly our real estate advert is being abandoned for a more lucrative AGO Idea.. I guess it's happening because many people have brandished their net work around here. God has actually blessed people and we pray for his blessings too. (Amen) For those that haven't garnered enough investment knowledge/experience you may consider trying to gain more knowledge before attempting this to avoid getting your fingers burned as some scenario playing out might be a designed format. |

vexing:Sometimes FBN do not send alert when crediting your account for TB at maturity. Other times some people rollover investment mistakenly without knowing. What you should do is first of all, check your account balance to be sure it's not been credited; if so then contact the bank to know why.. |
Ifelove1:If it is FBN from around 9-10:00 am the money should drop.. Some times without alert so if you do not get alert you can just check your balance through various alternative means. Since your money is dropping today there is no need of telling them to reinvest when it has already matured.. You are expected to do that before the maturity day @least 2-3 days before..especially if it is primary market it is easier to roll over for FBN. For secondary market you can just walking in after confirmation that your money has dropped anytime before 3:00pm today and chose from what they as it appeal to you. |
Biakwa:Sorry I was not talking about buying TB from Diamond Bank I only talked about those saying there do Dollar account fixed deposit. I am fully aware that there are custodian with which the TB funds are kept.. For every TB I have done, I have always paid custodian fee. |
Most times people's comparison comes only from where they see gain forgetting that irrespective of the fact that everybody interest is to make gain, sometime you loose too... Also gain and loss is dependent on when you are no longer holding the investment again ie when disposed off.. Why some people may see TB as the only form of investment there know, I believe majority here does it just to keep money above inflation. Also some do it to in place of something better than savings or fixed deposit. That said, we have heard from the man who exchanged Dollar and invested in NTB when the exchange rate was low and now could not get back the same sum if exchanged back to Dollar even when he had made a significant gain in Naira. Has anybody heard from those who bought Dollar in 2015 at the rate of N480- N500 believing it was going to N900-N1,000? What will be their fate if they need money now and want to convert? Yes some bought land and it appreciated, have you thought about those that bought in some place based on particular news anticipating it was going to get high and people are still pricing below the cost price..? In stock market back then some people bought GTB share and some bought intercontinental bank shares.. There was a time when intercontinental bank shareholders think they had something valuable but now the thinking is not same whereas the GTB shareholders are still enjoying their investment. So there is always two ways to it. Its not always a one smooth way. Even for the Bitcoin Advocates I believe there were some people who bought when it skyrocketed back then thinking it was always going higher before it came down.. Lots of those are sitting on losses now... If there are to convert it now. For those wanting to invest in Diamond Bank should watch it ooo even though the CBN guarantees depositors funds.. I personally do not fancy doing business with mismanaged company. |
ovadozes:Then yours is still better.. This year is about the fifth year since I registered. Twice I have gone to their HQ in Wuse Zone 5,Abuja where I registered twice I was told it is not ready yet. Some people that did at the same period he collected and forgotten about it same with others that did after me. I am still here expecting to see their message to no avail... |
ozymes: marketing him in the open is good... But his declaration of interest should be secret.. If some people are good marketers with genuine interest... being able to openly allay them of their fears as they raise concerns will draw more customers and eventually if his is able to gain their trust his brand will become secret.. Not just posting any enticing rates without telling people the origin how to go about it. Abi him want hypnotise them after declaring interest? |
CilicMarin:Qualification to the position of the President is provided for in Section 131, which states that – A person shall be qualified for election to the office of President if – he is a citizen of Nigeria by birth; he has attained the age of forty – years. he is a member of a political party and is sponsored by that political party; and he has been educated up to at least School Certificate level or its equivalent. At the end of any secondary school education or its equivalent an examination is written.. Be it NABTEB, NECO or WAEC to prove that the contestant did finished a secondary school so it is a requirement.. |
First of the word is c'est fini... I won't want to dabble into political issues but would have to say the president has done well by obtaining an attestation for his missing WASSCE result. It is long overdue and that will settle the case. America is a very sweet country to visit or stay. It is also very important to have diplomatic ties with the US as the most powerful country too. However, While having a WAEC result is part of the requirements to contest for Nigeria's presidency, American Visa or visiting America especially because one wants to prove a point has not yet been written in either the Nigerian constitution or the electoral laws of Nigeria as requirements to contest for Nigeria any electoral position. |
yinkaoke:There is more to Nigeria Microfinance banks than meet the eyes most time.. I do not know how stiff their regulation is especially because the little interest I have with died in my first attempt to to check them out... If you were ardent reader of this thread before now you will see where someone here said his friend invested in one and was not able to get back his capital as when due... Also, usually with regular commercial banks depositors funds is the safest. At least we see Skye bank just had issues and CBN took over and sold it to polaris bank. Same with other banks. With Microfinance banks there is actually no guarantee with that. Lots of Microfinance banks have closed shops without the depositors knowledge and them getting back their deposited funds and nothing has happened. You may not have heard about Trim Microfinance bank before, it went under with people's money. Even the depositors couldn't not get back their money and nothing happened. You can open the thread below for a testimony of another Microfinance that went under last yes.. https://www.nairaland.com/3805249/femaz-microfinance-bank-abuja The list of some closed by NDIC http://ndic.gov.ng/closed-microfinance-banks/ So you need to thread carefully... If you must invest in them take time to research on the one you want to use.. Most of them are good in luring investors with big offers without ability to deliver... They will pay you interest till its time to get pack your capital then you will see the ponzi side of them. |
For those that would want to know which is performing better between the investment houses... All you need to do is to open account with the houses you which to compare.. Deposit same amount with them for at least 6 months - 1year you will know which is better. As for GIF and MMF.. To me MMF is more reliable... 2016/2017 I had to transfer my funds from GIF to MMF because of a sudden and serious drop on my interest. I later started a little GIF when share price started going up late December 2017 and the interest was appreciating fairly and constantly. This days the interest in almost stagnant... MMF is movement is gradual and constant but GIF is not. |
HarryDuce:First of all I will say you should never underestimate the tolerance level of Nigerians...we have been going through same if not worse but we don't even care.. Maybe we so glorify some events because it's white that does them to black. Nigerian elected public official/Elite do more to the masses and we still vote them every four years with the believe that a day will come and we'll get it right.. To start with how many of the poor marry the rich.. Yet some are from same tribe and same community instead they'll rather give them out to a rich man's/elite son in another community if they can connect with one in theirs.. How many of the elected officials and elite in Nigeria have their children go to school or receive treatment in same hospital where the masses do? If they attempt it, it would be for emergency sake and they must make sure there are cared for differently.. Residence in Nigeria has always been by status.. Almost all the cities in Nigeria have GRA... Its for the Elite. Maitama, Asokoro, Katampe extention, games village, and Apo Legislative quarters in Abuja has a particular kind of people as residents... I am sure Lekki and VI is same in lagos too... In Abuja when government took over lands from the indigenous people they relocate them somewhere even if it's against their wish. Then plan and development there for the Elite. In Nigeria kidnappers kidnap the rich and their children for ransom while ritualist kidnap the poor and their children for body parts.. I could go on and on but for the segregation I would stop here. South Africans come here to do businesses and nobody fret yet there would not allow us to do business in their own country with the fear that we are taking over. |
Princedapace:Which one is don't you think Nigeria need more mercy... How can 36 school children be pregnant in one school, is that a baby factory? The 31 HIV infected na course? That is not in one ward or community but a school of how many students sef? Then to make it worse say their age between 9-19. Our destiny has been in our own hand since 1960..yes we may not have done a good job for ourselves but look at these pple that took charge of their affairs in 1994...moral decadence everywhere. Even if data is rolled I am not sure Nigeria would have higher number than of HIV positive no than with the way there are going. There are just about 1/3 or 1/4 of Nigeria's population. For electricity yes we couldn't add on more on what the whites left and we didn't have them leaving to make them want to develop it for us.. South Africa is still enjoying the long stay of whites in their country.. If there were to be in Nigerias shoe they will not exist as a country again.. |

tolajay:Most times I don't do it for your appreciation.. I know it's what you are not aware of but instead of you to take time and find out you would rather want to be spoon fed with it.. I will not stress my self for that without stressing you too. zamirikpo:If you check the bolded comment in the quote above you will know it's people like you that keep repeating already answered questions that have deprived others from getting what they should when they should. If not, auction dates changes and people can easily answer that but your particular question about FBN has been repeatedly answered and it remained that way so reading from behind would have resolved it.. Instead of noting what I said and move on, :Pyou want to show me you are foul mouthed by telling you would have appreciated my comments. Did you see me write anywhere that you should appreciate it? |
tolajay:A generation of people in haste with everything... Go back and read at least 20 first pages to gain insight una no go gree.. That the deduction was done today does not mean you will get the interest today. First Bank most times debit your account to place the money on hold immediately you indicate interest by applying. However, TB primary market auction is usually on Wednesday of the week, then settlement is on Thursday that's from when you should start expecting your interest. |
ernie4life:Wow this is good news ooo. Thanks for the info.. |
Prechy08:Hmmmm... You are asking people to call you as who, what and why should they? |
Ifelove1:It's been a long time I asked.. The last time I asked the minimum was N1,000,000. |
Since you no longer pick my calls or reply my WhatsApp messages I guess it time to let the house know how our transaction has gone so far before another person fall victim. I will wait a while (like 2 more hours) to hear from you by either getting the perfs and balance you or get my refund back if not. I will explain then take my next line of action. Modify: Thanks I have gotten it. Please work more on your communication with customers. Update them where there is need. |
Olakunle007:Over correct worry am.. Also beware that when it matures the bank will 10% which is N205. 479 from the money as tax as written in your contract with them so you will only have like1849. 31 @the end. |
Enough phone suggestions have been made already. Make use of what you have and do not allow anyone push you where your hand can't reach. New phones keep coming out every day so you can always upgrade when you get more money. Please do not buy any second hand phone except you know who used it personally and when and how he bought it. Apart from the fact that most times the owners get tired of them because there have developed issues, other times it might either be stolen or have been used to commit crime before. |
Since you have established that both of you are ladies.. You have to check yourself very well..check how you relate with the male folks that admire her and those of them she admires especially if she is still single. Check to see if you have not let out any privileged information you must have gotten based on your former relationship. Also since guys were relating well before I am sure you will know where to find her when it's not work time. You could find time off working hours to get to ask what's wrong and how to amend. |
Vyolet:The Registrar for Fidelity Bank is First Registrars. Their office is the in the First Bank Building beside Sharon Ultimate Hotel in Area 3 Garki, Abuja. |
tritritri:Yes the withdrawal is done in whatever currency you open it. |
tritritri:Dorm Accts varies. .. There is dollar, pound and Euro account.. One domiciliary account will not carry all the currency For the banks I know you can only deposit the currency of that account. In GTB it can be opened with Zero balance while other banks like FBN and Stanbic IBTC will require from 100-500 of the currency's opening balance. Depositing money in the account is free but withdrawal comes with a little charge. If you need to make transfer to another dorm account withdrawing and depositing is cheaper except that other dorm acct is domiciled in another bank not in your location. I believe plenty Oga's for hear go add more.. |
techgeek12:Let me get your WhatsApp and see if we could deal. |
techgeek12:Are you still doing your discount? |
dipoolowoo:Happy belated birthday Oga and thanks for all your financial news update. Wishing you all the Good things you heart desire.. wanaj0: yes ooo. Make we no d loose forget our calling and the Identity we portray because of losses in particular because we all laugh with people that laugh at us when in gains. |
