Haven't you noticed? beauty and brains don't go together. You can't have both. Why do you think all those brainy chicks in your school days were ugly?  grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Bianca is businesswoman(CEO; Bianca Blend) and a lawyer by training. These infos are freely available online. Do you think that she became a beauty queen just because she's beautiful?
Did Agbani become Miss World because she's the most beautiful among the lot?
The woman is just beautiful and charming. I don't know whether she's the most beautiful in Nigeria. She is still very beautiful, even in her late 40s. She's a top contender among the most beautiful that I've encountered.
If you have an eye for beauty, you will have the same feeling whenever you encounters her one-on-one.
Comparing her with Genevieve is a bigoted downgrade of her. They are no match. They are incomparable.
Liberate yourself from the old-school thought that beauty and brain does not co-exist. That's a flat-out lie. I've met beautiful and extremely intelligent women in school.

That N100m will simply be used to purchase more arms, bombs, bomb making materials, train their fighters and ease their logistic problem in carrying out attack. This country is doomed. Does Obasanjo, Goodluck and co. think that Americans are stu.pid by chosing not to negotiate with the terrorists? You don't appease terrorists. Fight the root cause of the problem; which is poverty, ignorance and unemployment. They will be quickly drained of their recruits. Listen to the grievances of the moderates, then isolate the hardliners for extermination. Obasanjo, Goodluck & co. are simply day-dreaming if they think that they can buy peace with money.

What a miscalculation!

Dear IBB,

As you celebrate your 70th atrocious year on earth. Let me remind you of some of the crimes you committed.

You along with Buhari, under the command of Murtala Muhammed ordered the execution-style masacre of innocent worshippers at Christ Apostolic Church Onitsha during the civil war.

You institutionalized corruption in Nigeria, made away with $12billion gulf war windfall. The $12B is valued at over $100B today.

You stalled the democratic process in Nigeria. Annulled an election and prepared the ground for the takeover by your despot friend, Abacha.

I read your interview in the dailies where you disparaged your fellow corrupt general. I hope that you are not suffering from selective amnesia. Though I detest OBJ, but I would prefer OBJ to you anytime, anyday.

You ranks favourably with Idi Amin, Omar Al-bashir and Saddam Hussein in the history book.

A friend of mine said that the fact that evil men like you are still alive validates his belief that God does not exist.

But I know that Allah(whom you claim to worship) watches over us. He will surely visit you someday with judgement. You can't escape it, your children can't escape it.

@freepeople.
My point is that the carcas if these people are decompossed already. History can never die. Monuments are there in the museum.
Personally, I have respect the souls of people who have died as a gallant fighter and those that was massively murdered in cold blood.
If we keep focussing on this ugly past, it will continue to stir aggression and unecessary anger against each other.
Have you watched Kunta Kinte's film before?? What feeling do you have about the white men after watching it?
Nigeria must be one.
United we stand!!

No doubt!sad We must stay united. But on the basis of what?;> We can't continue to commit acts that preceeded that unsuccessful break-up of the union and you expect people to swallow the notion of unity.

Personally, I support the idea of erecting monument to honour the dead. Museum and library are not enough. Imagine being an Igbo. I lost 4 of my uncles as a result of war. There is no grave that is marked for them anywhere. They were not given a formal burial. Their memory fades away from our psyche. Having taken note of all these events; do you expect me to encourage any youth in our family to sign up to defend my tribe in the event of external aggression?

Healing takes place when the crimes committed are discussed openly and exhaustively. True healing takes place when the perpetrators of the crime utters this simple word "I am sorry". You can't slap an person and restrain him from wailing.
Remember the ugly crimes that were perpetrated in South Africa during the era of aparttheid. Today SA is more united and more prosperous. They tends to look back at those events with indifference.
WHY?
Because they focused on those ugly past; dealt with it. Emerged from it as peaceful and loving nation. That's a classical case of healing after conflict. Why can't the same thing be done here in Nigeria? SA is a rainbow nation. But I don't hear from the news media thrice in a year about ethno-religious conflict between them.

They say that there is hardly any peace in a land where blood is spilled. But I beg to differ. There is still chance for the project one-Nigeria to survive. If only we can discuss the ills of the past correct the ones we can. Prevent it from reoccuring in the future. Aboveall, apologize sincerely to the victims of the crime.

Obviously you've never been to the War museum before. Are you going to provide the funds for the relocation? That aside, it's a harebrained idea anyway.
Every Igbo man should visit the war museum at least once. it's an awesome experience. After my visit i was left with a lot of respect for the Igbo scientists and fighters in the Civil war.

You are right. I haven't been to the war museum at Umuahia. I've noted it down in my diary as one of the place to visit before the year runs out.
I only made a suggestion, though it's ill-judged.
I commend the people behind this laudable project.

There are better ways of immortalising the people that are dead.
And also make a policy that will ensure our co-habitation.
There is no need wasting the state resources unecessarily.
Let the fund be spent to have positive impact on the growing and upcoming ones.

I totally disagree with you. Any state that does not show respect to its dead can never treat its living with regard. Every nation immortalizes its dead. US spends millions of $$ every yr searching for its missing in action in Vietnam. Igbos case can never be different. Therefore immortalizing the dead is not an unnecessary waste of state fund. If the upcoming generation don't know their history, then they can never predict the trajectory of their future.

What's the need fighting for your nation in time of war when you know that they would treat you worse than fowl in the event of your demise. That nation will end up producing some bunch of lily-livered citizens.

I agree with you that Igbos should work for peaceful co-habitation with other tribes.

Politics / Re: Ohaneze Plans Reburial Of Civil War Victims by freepeople: 7:55am On Aug 14, 2011
That's a good development.

The reburial plan is part of efforts at spiritual healing and cleansing of Igboland from its contemporary social woes and retardation which are believed took a more noticeable turn since the civil war.
Though my view differ from the above quote; I sincerely believe that the dead must be accorded their due respect, by giving them a proper and formal burial. The war affected every family in Igboland and the scar is still visible everywhere you go in Igboland.

I pray the memorial site wont serve as a shrine. I pray that it wont serve as a reminder for vengeance. I pray it would serve as a source where the future generation would go to study the history of what really happened. We must move on from here. Two wrong only makes right in mathematics; not in real life.

IMO, it would be nice if war museum and library are built beside the memorial site. This will serve to educate the future generations on their history. Cause history tends to repeat itself.

Christ became poor so that we might be rich! is that in your Bible? If private business men can acquire properties why can't the Lord's Anointed? Men! this man works daily for 18 hours!. How many of us can do that? This man of God does not eat church money! the followers have found him faithful and unique in administration. that must be the reason for great faith in God through his messages. He is a wise investor too because everything he does is commanded by His father in Heaven. Please you better drop issues like this before God reacts on his behalf. This is my candid advice! you don't joke with men of God. If they are fake, why not leave them to God to judge.

Attacking Wizkid for copying is just not fair. We knows that most Nigerian artists do copy, but only few of them gets attacked. I hardly see any original concept in P-square's works. Sometimes they will copy from 4 different artists and merge it into one. But still, nobody attacks them. Therefore attacking Wizkid for copying is a manifestation of hypocrisy.

Why can't Nollywood stars marry themselves, as their counterpart do in Hollywood and Bollywood? Could it be that they don't found each other desirable? I suspect foul play here. What could explain this lack of appeal? Could it be the randy nature of their job?
