Hipsofagoddess: I worked with a woman for two weeks and stopped when she paid me for the month, I just couldn't continue due to the work condition. I just stopped, no notification, no resignation letter.
This woman then wrote to my bank that my salary she transferred to my account was in error and they should withhold it till I give my consent for its reversal.
My account is currently withheld. Is it right for the bank to do this without informing me their customer? I'm talking about UBA. You actually said you was paid a months salary so correct your post... It was very wrong for you to stop without notification because I guess you didn't just walk there and started work, no matter how badly she treated you, its her business not yours, reacting the way you did was very wrong... If you was in her shoes I guess you wouldn't smile at your employee and say well done... All you have to do now is to humble yourself and go back there and apologize to her...because what you do to others, how you handle their businesses...will all come back to you someday whether you good or bad to your employees What the bank did was very right...your action was criminal, and the best way to get your attention was to freeze your account... So go and right your wrong... |

dovelike: Yes, this thing has puzzled me for a while but why do guys wait for their girlfriends to get pregnant before getting married to them? This is the trend we see now. Celebrity examples are Tonto Dike, Laura Ikeji, PSquare just to mention a few. Not to talk of most people I know personally. This removes the sacredness of a pure union.
Is it that the pregnancy removes a cloak from their eyes and they realize that they want to get married to their girlfriends (something that didn't know before?) or they just want to do right by the lady, thereby, entering into a marriage they are not ready for.
This doesn't guarantee lasting and fruitful marriage for both of them because they both were kind of forced into it and not from their own genuine will, as it's meant to be. Some just want the babies....haven't you seen cases whereby after getting pregnant marrying and giving birth they start having issues... So unfortunate that a lot of ladies fall for this... Marrying a guy after getting pregnant or having a baby without getting married is all same...for having children outside of wedlock.... |

esthertk: I need the candid advise of the matured minds here. My boyfriend and I have been dating for 8 months when our relationship was 3 months I was able to get a German visa and moved to Germany .
He lost his job 2 months ago, and we have been discussing on how he can get back on his feet, lots of interviews and no call back and with this harsh economy we consider it best he starts a business which he doesn't even have the capital.
I really wish I can support him but so scared it might be termed as using money to buy love and this might just make him stick to me for the wrong reasons or even later dump me... I am so confused Of you're helping him yea you can But my advice would be do it outta goodwill and don't expect anything in return whether in cash or kind... Don't make it a habit Don't make reference to it when you have issues with him Because most ladies gets pained by the fact they helped a guy and he ditched them... So make up your mind irrespective of whatever advises you get, and know that if you giving him, its out of generosity and concern... |

Christianity Etc › Re: CAN Slams Osinbajo & Applauds Apostle Suleman For Speaking Out by fynex(m): 4:53pm On Jan 29, 2017 |
bumi10: Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has released a statement, applauding controversial clergyman and Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, for being vocal in the face of the repeated killing of Christians by some herdsmen in some parts of the country.
In a statement signed by its special assistant on media and communication to the CAN President, Bayo Oladeji, the religious body kicked against last Wednesday's attempted arrest of Suleman in Ekiti state, arguing that his recent comments on the religious crisis in the country is permitted by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. They argue that Suleman is entitled to Freedom of Speech.
CAN's Statement
"Apostle Suleman has become a refugee in Ekiti state as security operatives are said to be searching every nook and cranny of the state with a view to arresting him. If there is an urgent need to interrogate Apostle Suleman on any issue, it would only have been proper to extend a formal or informal invitation to him from the SSS rather than Gestapo approach used in the attempt to arrest him.
It should be noted that under Nigerian Laws, he is presumed innocent until a court of law proves otherwise. Or have they extended the proposed obnoxious law that forbids religious preaching without the permission of the state governor down south too? Treating Ministers of God and our members as common criminals is unacceptable to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). Enough is enough. The last time we checked, Sections 38-41 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) states clearly that every Nigerian is “entitled to freedom of thought, conscience and religion, including freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom (either alone or in community with others, and in public or in private) to manifest and propagate his religion or belief in worship, teaching, practice and observance.
The Constitution states unambiguously that ‘Every person shall be entitled to freedom of expression, including freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart ideas and information without interference’. Every person shall be entitled to assemble freely and associate with other persons, and in particular he may form or belong to any political party, trade union or any other association for the protection of his interests:
Every citizen of Nigeria is entitled to move freely throughout Nigeria and to reside in any part thereof, and no citizen of Nigeria shall be expelled from Nigeria or refused entry thereby or exit there".
The group called on Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who is a Christian, to speak against the repeated attacks on Christians, stating that his silence on the matter is deafening
“It is high time the overzealous security agencies knew that Nigeria remains a secular state and any attempt to turn the country into a refugee camp for Christians will not be acceptable and will be resisted with every lawful means.
We call on the acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, to intervene in all the clampdown on the Church in Nigeria after all, he is in the office primarily to represent the interest of the Christians and his studied silence is no longer golden"he said.
http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/01/can-blast-vp-osinbajo-applauds-apostle.html The most important thing is who God applauds Osinbajo is second in command, he's a pastor and also a part of the government...there's something called WISDOM... When you're in that position you will understand... If Suleiman was were osinbajo is now...he would have handled it differently... God could have delivered his only son...he had the power...Jesus Christ had the power too but he didn't.... Why?...something had to give way for another to happen... So you'll keep condemning him...may God help us all.... |

zoba88: Popular US-based Nigerian writer Chimamanda Adichie joined thousands of women and others who staged a protest in Washington DC against US president Donald Trump's anti-women policies and other related policies. See her photos above
Source: http://www.trezzyhelm.com/2017/01/chimamanda-adichie-protest-against.html What are these protests meant for?... I really don't understand this: Before the elections there was no massive protest like this During the campaigns nothing was done... This man has being sworn in as the 45th president of the USA...and you're now protesting... To what end please.... Because I just have this feeling that this man would rule his time and there's nothing nobody can do God's foolishness is wiser than our wisdom...
