As a result of infrastructural development carried out by akpabio, akwa ibom has overtaken cross river.cross river is just about calabar, ikom and ogoja.owerri has even overtaken calabar as well as asaba.

So just asaba made you list delta state before Edo state!!!

Do a proper research and I think research also involves hearing what the people living in the state has to say...

Yes it is true >>I think they do that because the bible say > “Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.”...2 Corin 13.13.. because some people use witchcraft or sorcery to give vision..and lead people away from God. Well, I'm not a member and I can't say all these are true. But, a pastor-friend of mine who is a member of Deeper Life, and is very gifted with prophecy and visions, once told me no one is allowed to share visions or prophecies, unless such visions and prophecies are validated and approved by Pastor W.F Kumuyi.

He's the head so yeah he has to approve it....
Visions and prophecies have to be confirmed...
Sometimes we say the Holy Spirit said this or that whereas it's just a thought playing in our minds...
His approval here has to do with seeking the face of God to also know if it truly is from God...

If that your pastor friend is the GO of a church and have pastors under him, it would definitely be the same thing...

Like I once said....if the pattern of a church borders you go to another one... there are many churches that fit the style we desire....just leave the church in peace and stop carrying them to social media forums.

Romance / Re: My Fiancé Broke Up With Me Because I Refused Him Sex by fynex(m): 9:31am On Dec 12, 2017
savvy12:
Pls guys,I need your advice.
No insults please.

I have two men in my life right now.

The first one is a medical doctor at nauth in nnewi. According to him, he is 37 years old(10 yes older than me) but I still don't believe him cos he looks much older than his assumed age. He looks 40ish. And he is sort of secretive. He doesn't like talking about himself.we started dating last year before I lost my dad.

Things have been going well but the problem is that he has been pestering me for sex. But I'm not ready to have sex with him cos I'm not attracted to him. I went to his apartment as usual last week Sunday and he tried to initiate sex but I refused and told him I wasn't ready for it. He got angry and drove me to the park where I entered bus to my house. Since then he hasn't called or spoken to me.

I'm worried right now. I feel like he will leave me after he succeeds in having sex with me. That's why I refused him sex.

pls note,I'm not a goldigger cos I'm not the type that demand money from guys.He gets angry whenever he offers me money and I refuse.

I am also dating a second guy who is abroad. He lives in Canada. I got his number through his sister who is a friend of mine. We have been chatting for 3months now and he seems like a nice guy. He said he will come back to Nigeria after applying for his citizenship card next year.

I'm confused right now.I don't know whether to forget about the doctor and focus on the abroad guy or should I beg the doc and allow him have sex with me.
I have not had any relationship for a maximum of 2years cos the guys I meet always want from me even I try not to demand anything from them.
pls I need advice.

You can't have two engagement rings at the same time so its one of your bfs

A lady just made a post about how her friend encouraged her to marry her brother abroad and now she's having challenges, you can learn from her story....

From your story I just see that you're not really sure of what you want or need....you're still floating.....

mercy0008:
So I'm serving in this organization and ended up being friends with this guy, we seem to always have something to talk about as we both read books and share an interest in politics. We will go see movies, go watch football and sometimes go bowling too.
After a short time we discovered we sort of started growing feelings for each other, I have not been dating for a year but he is in a relationship.
Now we are both feeling bad because his girlfriend is really a nice girl, at least based on stuffs that i 've heard about her from him, but he claims he cant understand why he is this attracted to me too, said all he knows is he can just be himself around me without any fear or worries about what i think of him.
We are trying our best to keep away from each other but really this is over powering and its not working. Somehow he just finds himself at my place after work(i leave the office before him) till maybe 11pm most times even if his girlfriend is visiting.
Just thought to share with you all, please is there something else i can do.
I honestly don't want to come between him and his girlfriend but my feelings for him hasn't changed.
WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD I DO?

Stop the regular meeting and discussions
Someone can not somehow find themselves in your place, even a spirit decides where it wants to go...

You both are having feelings because you spend a lot of time together... Its normal

So caution yourselves and respect yourselves
Because when something else happens you both would start hating on yourselves....

NB: if I spend time with you that way you will surely develop feelings too....

Don't let your next story be.....and he somehow found himself on your bed and somehow it happened and somehow somehow it now somehow...

And your assertion is purely wrong because a true Christian should never be paying tithe, paying tithe means you think you owe God and needs to pay God (the workings of the law) which relegates the death and ressuretion of Jesus Christ. He ushered in grace which was missing in the era of law where people needed to obey all the laws to be seen righteous.

I repeat again, except you can prove where Jesus or any of the disciples/early Christians took or gave tithe, it's unchristian and not a Christian principle.

So your assertion that a true pastor shouldn't be against tithing is an abberation sir.

Your post was longer than mine so I should be tagging yours an epistle. I only copied and pasted bible verses to counter your cherry picking.

And yes tithing is by force in most Nigerian churches, how?

By coersion, threat of devourers, inducement and enticement. They keep quote Mal 3:10 to put fears and enticement in the minds of members.

Some churches tie Salvation to tithing, same time God's blessings solely on tithing etc.

Some also use tithe booklets to know those who pay and don't so as to segregate, some call out tithers in public just to make them look or feel like true "Christians", some churches give titles to those who are seen as tithers e.t.c

You can't say these stuffs I listed here are untrue.

Everyone reads the bible and get different understanding from it or some people just choose to understand anyway they wish, even none believers read the bible to gain wisdom and knowledge.....

You have chosen to see all that as true because you want it to be so, but its the Holy Spirit that gives divine understanding....

I won't argue against or for the points you have made....what you see depends on how far you look...

If I tell you that as a man you shouldn't be having sex because its not meant to be....you will disagree with me no matter the points I give you....you're very wrong to think that Christians shouldn't tithe.......but you would be very right to say you shouldn't be paying tithe.....

I pay my tithe and am privileged to do that by the grace and mercies of God....no matter what anyone says won't stop me.....

You can influence your circle not to....tithing is a choice....

Everyone that tithes has experienced something extraordinary in their lives and they have personal devotion....and that's why if JESUS CHRIST TARES ....believers would keep tithing....

Thank you and do have a lovely day

Why are you mixing up cheerful and willing giving with 'madatory/threat/coercive giving called tithe? Why trying to be clever by half? Trying to act like you didn't know what I meant when I said the disciples or Jesus never paid not received tithe? What you posted up here are all the kind of giving Jesus encouraged. The one you give without coersion.

Luke 18:12 you quoted was a parable Jesus told, you quoted it mischievously to hide the truth, you ignored the preceeding verses just to hide the truth. Here is it in full:

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; [2] Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: [3] And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. [4] And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; [5] Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. [6] And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. [7] And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? [8] I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? [9] And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: [10] Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. [11] The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are , extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. [12] I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

Now pray tell, are you a Pharisee or saducee Jesus spoke about here?

Now I see you were misunderstanding my initial post.....I never referred to tithe as mandatory as your statement shows"why are you mixing up cheerful and willing giving with 'madatory/threat/coercive giving called tlink?"

I never said or meant any of that....I simply said a true man of God,called by God can NEVER be against tithing.... Tithing is not by force sir

And I think you didn't read the link in sent to you....because if you did you wouldn't send me this epistle....

Can you believe that since 1964, No pastor or prophet has been able to come forward to claim the prize, because all of the prophets that has come forward were all debunked and caught in their lies.

Religion as a whole is biggest scam ever. Don’t misunderstand me. God is very real. But the issue is that, con artists came up with a plan to twist and turn the God’s words to their benefits and gain.

Think about it, some pastors are for Tithing and some are against it. So, God’s words is debatable now abi? Who’s telling the truth now? The pastors that are for tithing or those against? Na wa o.

No true man of God,called by God....can be against tithing...... NEVER....

If any pastor or true man of God is against tithing then he/she hasn't really studied the word of God

God's word has always been debatable right from creation...so all these whole talk about the word of God are not knew in fact more are yet to come.... Its all right there in the scripture.

0temSapien:
so what is the purpose of church?

The purpose of the modern church in the life of the 21st-century believer is critical because it fills a void only the church can. If a car needs fixing, it is brought to the mechanic shop. If someone is sick, the health center or hospital is the best place to seek medical attention. Church is where people should go if they are in need of a “spiritual fix.” The curch is really a hospital for sinners and not an exclusive club for saints.

So why would someone want to attend church? Regardless of what is said about churches, people expect that their life problems can be addressed in some fashion or form. With all the weight and pressures of their world weighing down on their minds, people expect the church to provide Bible-based answers that no other institution can provide.
Religion / Think Before You Speak by fynex(m): 12:48pm On Dec 04, 2017
You vote a govt that collects your money (taxes) before the salary gets to your hand, yet in your wondrously, wonderful intelligence, you are on facebook shouting that pastors should
*fix roads
*build schools for free education
*build houses for people to live in
*bring back Nigerians from Libya
*give free food to the poor
*give free money for people to do business

Because some people willingly give 10% to the church. Yet the government collects 30-40% as taxes but I don't see us harassing politicians.

See, it will be great to borrow sense. Think before you speak.

For every pastor you hear doing a good thing in society, there are hundreds more that you hear nothing about.

But ultimately, the purpose of church is not to be a charity organisation. Church is a lot more. The church can do charity but it is not a charity organisation. It can do business seminars but it is not a business school...

Do you want her to remember you as that guy that made her loose the job because of past offenses..... Or you want to be that guy that gives her a reason to be a better person in the future?

Payback is not the solution...let go of that past...give her a reason to say inspite of what /how I treated him...this guy was still nice to me...

Or let's say you pay her back and she gets to know it was you.... She finally goes somewhere else and gets a better job... Am sure your story would be trending on SOCIAL MEDIA and you will become the prayer point everyone would have to cast away from their progress....

Daddy Freeze, continue with your good work.

#FreeTheSheeples

Tithing is not by force it's by choice
Nobody has to tell you to give offerings or tithe
You decide to, and everyone that gives has a reason for wanting to continue....

For me I know what tithing has done for me and I will not stop tithing....or giving offerings....

Someone once called his pastor on the phone and called him a wicked man... Why?,...because the pastor didn't preach to him what giving is, according to him, he said since he started giving God has been blessing him....trust me no matter what anyone says won't change that man's mind...

When you give your tithes and offerings it's unto God....However the pastors choose to use it, if it's not according to God's Will, they would answer to that....

For those in the ministry of condemnation, insulting pastors and fighting over whether to tithe or not tithe and calling all pastors thieves, instead of going with those who are labouring in the word and are selflessly advancing kingdom agenda, this verse of scripture in Titus is wisdom that i would love you to contemplate on this week.

No matter what your judgments on 'all' pastors are, so long as you are not advancing the kingdom in your space, so long as you are not revving up your walk with God, so long as you are not getting discipled and you discipling others, you are doing the devil's work.

This has adversely affected every aspect of my life and reduced my productivity too.

I have been to hospitals or and done several tests. I have taken treatments targeted at eliminating H pylori, all to no avail.

I used to take antacids and stopped when I got no improvements and also read about the side effects.

I have equally used a few home remedies.
I really want to hear real life experiences of people who have dealt with this before as it's causing me excruciating pains.

Major symptoms include bloating; hotness of the stomach, groin, legs, shortness of breath, excessive release of gas, belching etc.
THANKS.

Buy unripe plantain
Peel it and slice or dice it
Put it in a bottle (Eva bottle or any other)
Put water and leave it to ferment
Then you drink the water

I had a discussion with someone yesterday on this ulcer thing and he told me that unripe plantain or banana that's not very ripe can be used and that they hell alot,, so you can please give it a try.
