Electricity is not cheap. I see people commenting about N200 per month for NEPA bills?
How many minutes would N200 fuel last in your generator that you expect to pay N200 per month for an average of 4hours of light per day?
Yeah. There are crazy bills sometimes. But millions of households have not paid NEPA bills in like years and they expect good supply.
We all shout about overseas but kindly ask your families living outside the country how much they pay on electricity bills and you would know that to get something good you have to pay for it. Businesses aren't charity and to break even they need to make money also.
we are just lucky to win this match, no clear cut pattern or tactics just kick and follow and the Chinese are much younger than our girls as we field an overage team in the competition. In 2 years time both team fielding same set of players, the Chinese will wallop our girls, the Chinese are more technical than our girls as it is our physique and luck that give us the needed draw
I was at the national stadium on that fateful day, apart from okwaraji about 6 fans died too in the stadium due to overcrowding and suffocation in the covered terrace. The surulere stadium pitch had just undergo regrassing and closed to matches for months and the world cup qualifier against Angola will be the first match to be played after the regrassing and the soccer crazy Lagos fans besieged the stadium to watch the super eagles after months of inactivity. okwaraji died of cardiac arrest while waiting for a throw in. I learnt in the newspapers the following morning that okwaraji and some other fans have been confirmed dead
there are 2 things that might have necessitated daura bringing in his men, either to protect the APC senators suspected to have hatched a plan in impeaching saraki, or to deny the same APC senators access to the chamber so that they cannot carry out the rumoured sinister plan of impeaching saraki in sympathy to him (saraki).
Op, point of correction, the stretch of the road has 4 flyovers not 3 as you forget the agbado flyover. I think the problem with Amosun is misplaced priority, Amosun is embarking on reconstruction of the sagamu siun Abeokuta expressway that was dualized not too long ago by the Gbenga Daniel administration while the concentration should be on completion of the ijoko road that is almost turning to an abandoned project. Though paucity of funds can be blamed for the slow pace of work on the road as at the time the road construction started the federal allocation was huge due to high oil price then but along the line funds started to dwindle and the state govt can't commit required funds to the project hence the delay in the project. But instead of prioritizing ijoko road to see to its completion within the administration's lifespan, Amosun is embarking on unnecessary reconstruction of the sagamu siun Abeokuta road.
the question is: has he overstayed his visa? if no then he has not run foul any US law, Femi can only sue him for breach of contract and that is if any exist
it is obvious ffk want to incite d easterners against buhari, in d coming days more of this will be coming out. 2019 election is fast approaching and nothing will be spared to rubbish the other side
the discos are economical with the truth, what the MDAs owed the discos as verified by FG is not up to amount being claimed by the discos and FG has informed them that the amount verified ( around 30 billion) has been deducted from money owed the Gencos. On the issue of tariff, the discos should have metered all their customers before seeking tariff increase because they can't premise bills based on estimation on ridiculous high tariffs, if everyone is metered people will know how to manage their electricity consumptions, they can't put the cart before the horse. On funding, the discos from inception has no requisite capital or standing to source for capital to invest in the expansive power distribution business as obsolete equipments begging for overhauling or complete replacement litters everywhere as some areas are having overloaded or bad transformers with attendant local power blackout for months and still getting bills for power not consumed in the name of estimation.
Lexusgs430: That is what we call 21st century leadership..... Not some leaders that would encourage bodyguards to batter people, like a battered fish..........
it is not about leadership but values, we let them get away with things like this here because we don't protest against it or we take it as normal. over there if macron had not fired the guy it will most likely cost him his presidency, but here? docility is in our nature
the fact is no one is going to heaven nor hell, when we are done on earth we die, and the story about judgement day is a scam. Religion (Islam & Christianity) is the biggest scam in the world.
I hope we can get it right this time around by featuring boys within the age bracket, if we don't do the right thing now we can't get the long term result which is a decent performance in future FIFA WORLD CUP
stefanjaeger: This is one of the area where Buhari led administration goofed..Adeosun and Emefile messed up our economy with policies that got backfired and they are finding it so tough to redeem till date. As much as I hate to admit it, PDP had a superior economy management team compared to the inexperienced APC team. Naira could not have gone this bad if Buhari had worked with the experience of Okonjo Iweala. Fact everybody had to reckon with is that Okonjo Iweala ain't an overrated economist.
when okonjo iweala came on board during obasanjo regime what is the rate of naira to the dollar and when she exit with Jonathan what was the rate

Dstv had 2 running d pidgin commentaries but one of them really use the street pidgin which is more entertaining and hilarious, my wife like d street version die but I don't know which one of d two is dis guy
the discos are not really serious and economical with the truth. The over 1 trillion naira allegedly owed the discos are mostly due to outrageous billing and you expect customers to pay up these disputed debts, to provide meters to electricity subscribers is now a rocket science to the inefficient discos. The most burning issue consumers have with the electricity providers is that of estimated billing which is tantamount to cheating.
Lalasticlala, the woman said the money was given to them by Fayemi (APC)

Babygiwa: The violence that characterized the three-day picketing of MTN Nigeria by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) attracted condemnation from several quarters, especially from industry watchers, Nigerian workers, and affected MTN staff.
Now, it has emerged that the destruction of MTN assets, violence and threats violate an important section of the International Labour Organization ethics of which the NLC is a member
Founded in 1919, the ILO’s main goal is to bring together governments, employers and workers of its member states to set labour standards, develop policies and devise programmes promoting decent work for all women and men.
Under the ILO Principles concerning the right to strike, section 8.1 which focuses on picketing clearly states: Taking part in picketing and firmly but peacefully inciting other workers to keep away from their workplace cannot be considered unlawful. The case is different, however, when picketing is accompanied by violence or coercion of non-strikers in an attempt to interfere with their freedom to work; such acts constitute criminal offences in many countries.
The requirement that strike pickets can only be set up near an enterprise does not infringe the principles of freedom of association (ibid., paras. 586 and 587).
On Monday July 9, 2018, officials of the NLC were at the MTN offices to picket however, the protest became violent and disorganized as property within MTN premises were vandalized. Doors and gates were destroyed, several staff of the company were manhandled and in the Ikoyi head office, the MTN flag was lowered and the NLC flag hoisted in its place.
Critical national infrastructure across the country were breached and attempts were made to seriously compromise them like turning off the independent power plants at the Ojota switch station, Lagos.
Following this outright display of violence and disregard for the ILO code of conduct, several respectable Nigerians have come out to condemn the NLC. Notable among these are renowned UK based accountant and social commentator, Feyi Fawehinmi and veteran radio presenter, Jimi Disu who during his radio session, called the act by the NCC a fund-raising exercise. In his words: “As far as I am concerned, they went on a fund-raising exercise.
Now it didn’t just end there, if you are going to picket a company let’s just say for all intents and purposes, does it then mean that you must go on a destroying mission? You went in there and destroyed their properties. Here we are, our existence economically is somewhat premised on what we call foreign investment, now is this how you are going to treat companies that come?”
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) as well as the Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON) have openly condemned these acts of violence, and the ALTON went as far as saying it will advise MTN Nigeria to consider preventive shutdown of network if telecoms facilities are damaged.
Tony Ojobo, the spokesman of the NCC in a statement confirmed that on Monday night the NCC activated the MOU with NSCDC to protect the switch stations and BTSs belonging to MTN and other telecom operators.
Tony also added that, “NCC has also briefed the security agencies on developments particularly the implications of the attempt to shut down the Ojota switch station. A collapse of the telecommunications grid is likely if these attacks on MTN and other telecom facilities are not abated.”
Reiterating MTN’s position on unionising, Tobechukwu Okigbo, Corporate Relations Executive, MTN Nigeria said, “We do not prevent our employees from associating amongst themselves as they deem fit and owe our employees the obligation to ensure they are not compelled to join associations. MTN supports the freedom of association as enshrined in the Nigerian Constitution.”
All workers have rights that should be protected. We work hard to not only ensure that this is done but also to ensure that our company is a great place to Work. We will continue to champion our peoples’ rights, whether they are part of a union or not and work hard to minimise disruptions in service to our customers.”
weiin una want make jimi disu talk other than to condemn d picketing wen be say na Mtn dey sponsor him programs for radio, but seriously speaking violence and vandalism should not be part of protest and demonstration in this country again
the most important precaution to take is to watch your speed, maintaining a speed limit of 90kph is recommended for cars and SUVs so that in rare case of tyre blown at this speed you will easily be able to manoeuvre the vehicle to a halt.
Why, because people that suppose to be protecting and fighting for us are selfish rogues. For more than a decade, Nigerians have been pressing for pay as use but since our senators, rep, and other government officials are enjoying view to air they don't care about we the masses.
I knew DSTV will look for ways to regain back their money paid as fine.
