Apc can also win in cross river which is my state, akwa ibom is uncertain which Delta ? Delta is more PDP than Rivers, Ayiri that can win common LGA election. Forget all this APC talk in south south it will not work, you guys should wake up and start thinking of stopping your members from decamping, you are going into a battle you will not win. |
Nairaland General › Indonesian Villagers Kill Nearly 300 Crocodiles In Revenge Attack by gare(op): 11:42am On Jul 17, 2018 |
Indonesian villagers armed with knives, hammers and clubs slaughtered 292 crocodiles in revenge for the death of a man killed by a crocodile at a breeding farm, an official said.
Photographs released by Antara news agency showed bloodied carcasses of the crocodiles in a large pile in the Sorong district of the eastern Indonesian province of West Papua.
The head of Indonesia's Natural Resources Conservation Agency in West Papua said that the 48-year-old victim had entered the crocodile farm and was likely picking grass for animal feed when he was attacked.
"An employee heard someone screaming for help, he quickly went there and saw a crocodile attacking someone," Basar Manullang said in a statement.

Manullang said the farm had been given a license to breed protected saltwater and New Guinea crocodiles in 2013 for preservation and also to harvest some of the animals.
But one of the conditions was that the reptiles did not disturb the community, he said.
"To prevent this from happening again, farming license holders need to secure surrounding areas," said Manullang. He said his agency was coordinating with police in their investigation.
"Crocodiles are god's creatures that need to be protected too," Manullang said.

HEseesall: I had to open this account for anonymity I'm in a dilemma, let me start like this, when i and my husband first got married we did a joint business that fetched us a huge amount of money, the aim was to build a house, when we got the money, he decided to use his' for his parents (i had no problem with that) then mine for what we wanted to use it for
Two weeks ago we had a major misunderstanding, it was soo intense to the extent that he told me to park out of the house, in the heat of things i told him that cannot be possible that the house is in my name, he was shocked, saying it is impossible we built it together that it's in his name, i had to remind him what happened then, he was furious saying it was wrong of me to use my name, that he cant believe he has been staying in a house that does not belong to him, he told his family what i did claming victim, then he packed out saying he wont come home till i change the name to his full name, i begged him to no avail, i dont even know how to tell my people, imagine if it was in his name, i and the kids would have been out of the house by now, he has requested for transfer from his office to another state cos of this, who does that?? He cant expect me to change it to his name.
Pls i need other advise to go about this, he is a good man but he feels his ego has been bruised, i need other options.
MODIFIED For those viewing this, i have made some clarifications down to page (1), If he shows some remorse you can put his name as a couple owner and a clause must be signed that at no cause should the house be sold, if not let him go to blazes, in my own case from the purchase of land to completion of the building it's my name and that of my spouse that's on the documents and the property can't not be sold except we both agree. |

ogunwale321: President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday commissioned the 45.24 km Phase 1 Abuja light rail mass transit project awarded on May 23, 2017.Unfortunately, just when the President began his keynote address, the standby generator powering the whole event went off causing some sort of scare in the arena.
The light was never restored till the President’s departure . Buhari, in his speech, commended the Chinese Government and its construction firm that handled the project (CCCEC) as well as the China Exim bank for the conclusion of the project.
Buhari said : ‘’ The project will impact on the people in terms of better transportation, job creation and enhance their social lives . ” However , the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has flayed Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC ) for allegedly attempting to claim credit for the rail project .
In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary , Kola Ologbondiyan , the PDP said : “ Nigerians are aware that the project was conceptualised , initiated and policy - propelled by the PDP .

Politics › Re: Senator Oduah: Igbo Must Invest At Home, Anambra Is Safer Than Lagos. by gare(f): 6:08am On Jul 13, 2018 |
BabaRamota1980: By Ifeanyi Nwoko
The Senator representing Anambra North in the National Assembly, Senator Stella Oduah, has called on all South Easterners to plough some of their investments back home to develop the region.
With particular reference to indigenes of Anambra State, the former Aviation Minister said any wealthy ‘Anambarian’ who refuse to invest in the region, is not only doing a disservice to the region in general but the state in particular.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen in Abuja on Sunday, Oduah said that according to a World Bank definition which she aligned with, one could only be said to be wealthy if the people around such individual feel and benefit from the wealth.
Championing the campaign tagged “Aku Lue Uno” (which means ‘The wealth should reach home’), the senator said that Anambra State and indeed the South East had very wealthy people who could develop the region if they invested their wealth back home.
She explained that ‘Aku Lue Uno’ is a prosperity sharing gospel that the South East must adopt for their well being as well as the growth and development of the area.
She therefore called on all South Easterners especially, those from Anambra, to bring back some of their wealth to develop the region.
She however stressed that it was not a call for all investment in other regions to be collapsed adding that the Federal Government should also be mindful of its responsibility to the region.
“Aku Lue Uno is a concept that encourages indigenes to think of their homes in their investments.
“It is not just the right thing to do, it is economically viable to invest in our homes, particularly for those from the South East and Anambra in particular.
“We have the enabling community, we have the population and current government initiatives have provided enabling environment. so what we need is to plough back our investment, our commercial ability.
“What we have outside the South East zone should be replicated in the zone, we need to start domesticating our investments so we can help our people.
“We would help in improving the poverty level, we will help in creating jobs, we would help in growing our domestic economy. Most importantly our people will feel that accomplishment we have.
“In doing so, we would be doing what is termed shared prosperity, in doing so we are doing what is termed Aku Lue Uno,” she said.
Itemising the magnitude of wealth controlled by Igbos, particularly those from Anambra, Oduah said that according to statistics, one out of every four industries in Nigeria belonged to an individual from Anambra and one out of every importer or exporter is from Anambra.
“We also know that one out of every five successful businessman or woman is from Anambra.
“Can you imagine the magnitude of that investment if we can just channel just 10 percent of that home?
“We would create massive employment, we would create massive mentorship for the young ones and we would have a society that will be the envy of all. “So my advocacy is to encourage all Anambarians, all South Easterners to think backwards (home) on their investments.
“I am not saying uproot your industries, I am saying start divesting and think homewards so that our people can feel your impact and so that our people can grow.
“It is only by doing that that you can in all conscience say that you are a wealthy man because it is only by doing that that you can say yes I am an Igbo man and I have made it.
“In my book you haven’t made it if you haven’t invested what you have invested outside in your community. Any wealth that does not reach home is a lost wealth as far as I am concerned and it is a useless one.
“There must be semblance of that in your state, we must help the state to grow, we must help our people to grow, we must share our prosperity, we must be involved in Aku Lue Uno concept,” she said.
She admonished South Easters not to only show their wealth by building mansions or showing off when they organise or are invited to events.
Speaking on profitability Oduah said that investing in the region would also be profitable, adding that there is an enabling environment and access to markets.
She argued that Anmabra State is safer than Lagos State, pointing out that the international airport in Enugu provides access to international markets.
She added that the state is putting enabling environment for its people to come and invest, stressing that there are tax incentives in place to encourage investments.
“Most importantly there is security: we have better security in Anambra than you have in Lagos. In Anambra you do not have violence like you have in Lagos.
“We have lacuna on infrastructure; rail, airports and so on, but then the state is in joint venture to build the cargo airport.
“Above all we have in Enugu, Enugu has an international market so you can export. The Federal Government needs to put inland container terminal in Onitsha so that importers can from Onitsha get their goods without having to go to Lagos or Port Harcourt.
“When that happens we have access to international markets. You would be amazed at the number of vehicles that go to other African markets from Onitsha.
“We are currently re-exporting in an informal market, that should be formalised. Alaba and other markets in Lagos are our people’s market. We should have a huge portion of that domesticated in Onitsha”. starting with you move all your investment home, I have been to your office in Lekki. Nice idea though, but lead by example |

DONSMITH123: The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Operations, Mr. Habilal Joshak, has said the security details of important personalities in Ekiti will be withdrawn on Saturday — the day of governorship election.
The Police boss added that no party will be allowed to hold any political rally that is not approved by the Police until the election is held.
Addressing journalists in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday, Joshak said he will work with one Assistant Inspector General of Police, Mr. H.H. Karma; and three other Commissioners of Police — Ali Janga, J.B. Kokumo and G.B. Umar — who would man each of the senatorial districts in the state.
Joshak said they have contacted security details of Governor Fayose and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, and other top government officials to report at 6am at the Police headquarters in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday.
“We won’t allow anybody to go to the polling booth with armed men, because it will be a breach of the Electoral Act.
“We have contacted them and they have to be here before election commences. This election must not be compromised.
“They will be documented and whoever defies this will be sanctioned, because they have been contacted,” he warned.

deluxegift: Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), Prof. Itse Sagay, has said if he was to be the current head of state, he would have abandoned the anti-corruption war and ‘ungrateful’ Nigerians to their fate
This is he revealed that despite lack of appreciation especially from the “corrupt Nigerian elites”, President Muhammadu Buhari administration has recovered assets worth of N1 trillion within Nigeria alone with about $800 million recovered from abroad.
Sagay disclosed this in Abuja on Wednesday during the 1st African Day of Anti-Corruption and Roundtable of the AU Champion Against Corruption with the theme: “Enhancing Domestic Resources for Sustainable Development Goals by Improved Asset Recovery and Asset Return”.
In his opening address titled: “Fight Against Corruption and Attainment of Sustainable Development Goals Under the Buhari Administration”, Sagay lamented that despite the enormous achievements, some Nigerians especially the elites are pushing a contrary narrative to frustrate their efforts for the simple fact they no longer have access to easy money unlike the past administrations.
Sounding disappointed, he wished that Buhari had thrown in the towel and allow Nigerians wallow the misery of not having an Anti-Corruption champion.
He said: “So a lot is going on and I said the elite, and I will always emphasize the elites, because the ordinary Nigerian is appreciative. The elites are pretending not to know what is going on, they’re pretending that they are not seeing change. They are pretending as if we are carrying on in the way, the wasteful and turbulent way this country used to be run, because they are beneficiaries of the bad system. Easy money is no longer coming to their pockets, they are now having to work for their living and therefore they are grieved and pretending that they don’t know that anything is happening.
“This government is a very patient government. I personally I am an impatient man. What if I were head of state I would have thrown in the towel and tell Nigerians ‘go and suffer the fate you deserve. Go and suffer the fate you were experiencing before 2015, so that they can go back to that system of bribery, corruption, rottenness which we have seen this country to a state of total destruction.” https://globalsentinelng.com/2018/07/11/anti-corruption-i-wouldve-abandoned-nigerians-to-suffer-if-i-were-buhari-itse-sagay governance is not all about fighting corruption, and which corruption is he fighting, we still waiting for you to comment the sacked SGF, was he not corrupt, why is he not under trial?, please old man if you have not useful to contribute to the development of this country please kindly remain quite at your age you should be able to see the truth and stand by it. So in your hearts of hearts Buhari has done well, if you say so then i pity the children you will leave behind to suffer . Truly you are not sounding like an elder that is suppose to guide the younger once, you just open your mouth and anything that comes out you say good or bad |
