It was Tuesday 21st November, 2006. I got back from school on Sunday the 19th and Tuesday the 21st, I took copies of my CV (as we call it) and headed to Victoria Island. My intention was to stop by every bank Head office I could find in Victoria Island and then stop by my uncle's office on Ajose Adeogun to get money as usual. My first stops were Access Bank and GTBanks as they were on Oyin Jolayemi street. I then walked up to Ajose Adeogun to drop a copy with Zenith Bank. (The worst harassment was when the Security guy at Zenith Bank asked what kind and class of degree I possessed. He ended it with God save you and showed me where to submit my CV. Luckily, I was called for test 3 days after.) From there, I walked into my uncle's office which was adjacent Zenith Bank and I was told he had moved to their office on Ligali Ayorinde. I got there and was told he was on vacation. I had to walk from there to under bridge off Ahmadu Bello Way. It was a painful walk but I had no option so that I don't get stranded. It was a lesson learned. |

Does he think the ordinary man wants to trade on the streets? He's more concerned about anesthetics than the value of lives in the state. What a pity! |
