Heights. Once I go past 10th floor, it is hard for me to go out to the balcony and when I do, I get scared to look down. I have tried many rollercoasters with height and those ones I am okay with but standing on balconies still get me scared as it seems there's always something trying to pull me down. |
The two things I know people borrowed in school were hotplate and money. I never heard of borrowed salt, maggi etc. People will rather ask for those. I never heard of people borrowing the other things mentioned outside of school as well. I know occasionally people might run out of salt and its late or too early in the morning and they ask if a neighbor has and not to borrow. |
Simplecity:Some kind. Pre boil the macaroni for 7 minutes. Fry some shrimp, peas, sweet corn, and carrots. Then add the macaroni to it and stir properly. It is almost the same process as fried rice except for stock and curry. |
Dinner: Macaroni.

bukatyne:When I learned about it, it was maggi that was complained about that it interacts with the protein contents of the egg. |
DenreleDave:They are vegetables. |
DenreleDave:Salt and black pepper is the best seasoning. It accentuates the taste of the food. You can spice it with vegetables such as cilantro, tomatoes, peppers, parsley, basil etc. |
BennyDGreat:No, this was 1999 but I guess as a Lagos boy who follows the mom to the market, it was too cheap to see a piece of fish selling for N20. Besides, I hate haggling from childhood even till date and my mom was nice in the sense that instead of haggling, she would tell you to prepare whatever she is buying for some amount and because she was in the food business, I guess those we buy from were always reasonable since we will be cooking to resell (my opinion). |
@ahnie, Why did you add seasoning to the eggs? I learned it kills the proteins in the egg. |
To think I used to buy this fish back then as a student for N20 a piece and thought it was cheap until a friend follow me to the market and we bought it at N10 a piece. That was when I realized that I was been scammed and no wonder the fish sellers loved me. Back then, in the market where my school was, this fish and "Agbodo" were the only fishes you could find. It is alarming that a piece of it now cost N400. It is well. |
Dinner: Beans and dodo.

youngsahito:What exactly are you talking about? If he feels he can't marry her, he should let her live her life in peace. She isn't a daughter-in-law and there is no need to force her to act as one. He knows she is not willing to leave her siblings, why try to experiment with it? |
Why do you want her to go live with your parents? Don't you find that extremely selfish of you? |
Hmm....why not the regulators clamp down on them? |
Dinner: Grilled Tilapia and a side of roasted carrots and fries.
|
Are they going to provide power stations where owners of these bikes and charge their batteries at reasonable rates or they have to go generate their own electricity to charge the bikes? |
TheNiceGuy:Must you take the loan? Nigeria is a secular state so why play religious cards? When you get loans from banks, don't you pay interest? Why is the government different? The last I checked, we operate common and civil law in Nigeria and not Sharia law therefore, whoever has issues with the loan can do without it. |
Must we bring religion into everything? Our bigotry stinks. |
Do not listen to anyone as marriage doesn't mean losing your life. It is about both parties thinking and knowing it is worth sacrificing their independence/ self to be with the one they choose to love. Hence, you can't be calculating what is spent on self or either party. Just learn to manage financial resources properly. |
Dinner: Rice and beans topped with avocado- garlic aioli.
|
MissSlimbody:Thanks for the information. Never knew about this. |
Good move from the government, however, is this for tertiary institutions in the state or nationwide? |
amorprincesa:It is just wheat flour made the same way amala is made on fire. The only difference is that you can actually mix the flour in cold water and start that way unlike amala where the flour is poured into hot water. |
If the judgment is ready, why can't the committee read it out? I don't know why they are sensitizing us when they know the importance of their judgment. |
With some of the ELDS cut off point of less than 200 in those days when National Common Entrance had a total point of 600, it is very possible to pass by random guessing. Thus, I would say in Abbo's case, I believe him. |
Hopefully no lives was lost. It is time our regulators in all sectors take strong precautionary measures. |
Botragelad:Ewedu/Molokai/Jute is a green vegetable cultivated in the Southwest of Nigeria, some parts of Northern Africa and Asia. It has medicinal value I read on here and some of it is that it helps women balances their hormones particularly, women with high level of prolactin and are trying to get pregnant. It is slimy when cooked. Drying it is a form of preserving it and that makes the leaves go dark in color unlike the fresh and frozen ones that are usually green. As for taste, like every green vegetable, it is bland thus, you season it the way you want to. |
Dinner: Wheat amala with ewedu (dried) and stew.
|
Dinner: Pounded yam with remaining ogbono and efo riro.
|
Dinner: Eba and Ogbono.
