She can refuse access to anyone to see him.

She can pass any message to anyone and says it is from her husband.

That is why when you voting for President,  you are also voting for the WIFE!

They are called 'First Family'
If my memory serves me correct Yaradrool and Goodluck took oath of office on May 29 2007 not the "first family"

Just heard Dora brief the press on watchait.com. Jonathan held a short meeting with the ministers, basically the weekly council meeting is postponed till next week.  They are set to discuss the 6-man delegation trip to Saudi.

I expect Jonathan to fall back in line as usual, the burden is on Nigerians and the NASS to seek a resolution.

Lagos state has become a revenue generating conscious state, where you must pay for everything. like someone said, car radio permit, car park, etc. God forsake you, your car breaks down along the road, before you go get a mechanic or whatever to fix it, it's either the torts in uniform have tolled it alausa or the torts in mofty have robbed you off your car accessories. LAGOS SUCKS, i know people will ask me to leave if am no more comfortable here, but mind you the consititution empowers me have freedom of residence in any part of Nigeria.

The activities of Fashola led government should be investigated for the records.
@poster.  those are legitimate concerns and in developed nations you have enforceable rights to demand answers it should be a no different in Lagos especially if you are taxpayer living in a "Highbrow" area like Lekki or anywhere within the Lagos state. Dont let Fashola junkies deter you from voicing your complaints.  Keep in mind though Fashola needs time to fix Lagos its not going to happen overnight.

Too many, here is a few

1. Rilwan Lukman - he is the embodiment of failure. He has been in govt around the same time Dinosaurs were still around and I dare him to name one achievement.

2 Minister of Power Lanre Babalola - Promised 6000 megawatts and the situation actually got worse, monumental failure.

aahh! fu*k it all of them needs to be sacked.

Local Eagles reject Amodu

By Fidelis Ebu | Monday, February 22, 2010
ABUJA — Amidst doubt that the redeployed Eagles’ technical crew would shun their new posting, the team’s chief coach, Shaibu Amodu, and his technical assistants have reported at the Nigeria Football Federation secretariat to indicate interest in their new assignment just as some of the players were disgusted over the presence of their new head coach.

Amodu was, however, whispered to join the team later but all his technical assistants that included Daniel Amokachi, Alloy Agu and Fatai Amao were at the NFF secretariat where they went to collect their training kits ahead March 3 first assignment against Niger Republic in Niamey.

Prior to his resumption, the NFF had directed that Amodu should resume with the home-based Eagles as he and his assistants were still in its pay-roll.

Remarkably, some of the players were disgusted that Amodu that snubbed them during the Eagles’ World Cup qualifiers and who repeatedly said local players were not good has now been drafted to take over their technical and tactical sharpness. They have no confidence in him.

The players that raised eyebrow over the alleged not-too befitting accommodation reserved for them in their preparation for their encounter against Niger Republic, have been relocated elsewhere in Life Camp with their handlers.

It would be recalled that Amodu had exclusively told Sports Vanguard in December that he would be silly to invite home-based players to the 27th Africa Cup of Nations in Angola.

He said this as he was finalising preparations for the tournament. It was a damning verdict on the home-based players, who he is now mandated to coach.

Hope this message is cleat to Amodu.  KICK ROCKS!

@gekko that's just to tell you that even when their stomachs are filled to the brim, their plates keep getting loaded with more food. TY Danjuma was swimming in Nigeria's millions before most NLers were born, but decades after is still getting presidential favours that earn him  billion dollar pay days. what is the allocation to all federal universities combined ? The old fo.ol even has the effrontery to come and make such a remark, but It's ok by the books of many of my simpleton compatriots, afterall he donated a fraction of it to charity, didn't he ? Right now the most annoying case is how Ibori and 90% of former govnors are walking free on our streets.
whoever puts an iota of hope in the ruling class does so at their own peril.  They are not even perturbed, they don't even pretend as if the nation is in a deep crisis.  Does this picture even reflect leaders ready to roll up their sleeves and get down to business.

Though they were still useless but none committed genocide against his own country and NO Nigerian president has ever spent $16bn on a project without the grasses being cut. None of them had his attorney General killed without a solution

They told us in 2007 that the power projects would be completed soon Now 3 years after still nothing.

Abeggi OBJ is the worse worse than Abacha sef
lets put sentiments aside, are we certain that OBJ deliberately ordered for a whole village to be leveled or is it just hearsay. Please enlighten me.  From what i understand he precisely ordered an army general that law and ordered should be restored in a place where hoodlums clashed with police and unfortunately  innocent lives were disposed.  Didn't we just witness the reenactment of the same script in Bauchi where police officers extra judiciously murdered folks, should we also blame OBJ for that as well or the trigger happy law enforcers within our society who fails to apply a brake in these situations.

Bro is sickening to say the least.  I've been doing a lot of traveling in the past year, been to Paris, Rome, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Zurich, plenty states in the US, currently in NYC and I am just f*ucking jealous of the inheritance young men and women like myself get to claim in their country.  They have a robust infrastructure, access to world class education, good health, water the list goes on and on.  Our leaders/elders have failed us monumentally.  They have  rummaged through our wealth and consumed everything like scavengers and there is no hope in sight.  They are like Hyenas, the most efficient animal at eating, they will eat your flesh, bones and even feces. So bad that one of them just admitted not knowing how to spend 500million, makes one mad enough to pick a weapon and do the necessary.

Afam,do you ever try to put the atrocities of nigerian leaders like obasanjo in pictorial and practical contest?of how many children die of preventable diseases in a week in nigeria because leaders like obasanjo have siphon the money meant for health services,of how many women die at child birth because of the same reason,of how many able bodied individuals die unnecessarily on road accidents because the money meant for road maintenance have been diverted by the leaders, the list goes,if you do,i don't think you will ever have the guts to commend human beings like that.

Someone like obasanjo is not in any way different from someone like hitler, they are both heartless and destructive souls but with different tactics and applications, they both hate humanity.
to compare Hitler and OBJ shows that you are exclusively out of touch with reality.

mikeansy is right Tandja had it coming, especially after abolishing term limits, even US clearly supports this coup with this statement,

In Washington, State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said the situation was "very fluid" in Niger and the United States was closely monitoring it.

"Clearly, we do not in any way, shape or form, you know, defend violence of this nature, but clearly we think this underscores that Niger needs to move ahead with the elections and the formation of a new government," he said.

You are the one looking like a simpleton now, did you see any dialogue between the ref and the player who took that freekick? that guy should have been booked for playing the ball before the ref said anything. The ref only started raising his hand after the free kick had been taken.
Anyway yu can run your mouth how you like, I don't expect anything else from you.
i was also convinced that the referee raised his hands after the free kick and even had his back turned to the free kick but this picture tell a diff story.  I think we goofed on this one, although the referee is blocking Sol.

The whole OBJ is the biggest trouble with Nigeria is one of the most regrettable and uninformed vicious myth of our generation.

It was deisgned by hopeless public officers scared of their own record and will rather blame others for their failures.

I think the fact that it really got traction emphasizes the need for more education, imformation management and institutionalization of records. So that when people come to office and choose to distort the records of their predecessors so that they will have such a low standard to be benchmarked against. We can tell them sorry you are not too smart.

Imagine what Nigeria would have been if . . . . . . .

Alliyu Modibbo concentrated on building on El-Rufai's records and improving Abuja rather than attacking his predecessors (Guess what the so called 32 billion Alliyu Modibbo accused El-Rufai of stealing was confirmed by Minister of State Remi Babalola to be in FCT account). You all know the Abuja El-Rufai left in 2007 and what Abuja is today.

The same is the story of Waziri at EFCC and Ribadu. Instead of fighting corruption Waziri was focused on Ribadu and accused him of not declaring his assets. after months and months of battling Ribadu, the Code of Conduct Tribunal led by Constance Momoh has admitted that actually Ribadu declared his assets before becoming EFCC chairman and after he left EFCC. Guess what? they still want to arrest Ribadu in other to declare him innocent. only in Nigeria.

Look at the Independent power project. They were at an advanced stage before OBJ left office. When he left The Yar'adua Government accused OBJ of spending 32 Billion on power project without achieving nothing. It turns out after months and months of probing OBJ and wasting everyone's time. only about less than 5billion was spent and there are actually power plants to show for that expenditure in various parts of the country as well the sea port waiting to be moved to where they are to be installed. But instead of continuity the Yar'adua government chose Politics over Progress.

and there are lots of examples like this. I don't want to mention the banks because the debates on that front are still fresh and the mistakes are yet to manifest themselves.

OBJ has his faults, but OBJ's goods far outweigh his ills. I think he is the best leader Nigeria has seen so far.
Well stated. And I agree 100%. I doubt Yaradua's administration can boast of one single technocrat with worthy achievements.
