Remmitances have now become the major source of forex in Nigeria behind oil export. If Nigeria had positioned itself well over the years, our economy should be booming now with the Ukraine War going on. We are more of a gas giant than an oil giant and we should be exporting grains, if India and Pakistan can, why not Nigeria with a lower population.
Yeah in order of exports, Oil is first with about 42 Billion dollars, Remittance from diaspora is then a distant second, now Urea is competing for 3rd with gas ( Due to the Dangote factor). But I agree with you, gas should be no one because we even have more advantages there than with oil, but gas infrastructures are usually very cost intensive and they take so much time.

Newton2024:
1. Is there no competent Christian member of APC from the 19 northern states who is good enough for Tinubu's running mate? If religion does not matter but competency, is there not competent Christian in the entire North?

2. If religion does not matter, what about tribe? Does tribe matters? Can APC fields Yoruba-Yoruba or Igbo-Igbo ticket? If Tinubu could not choose Yoruba running mate, then he shouldn't have chosen a Muslim for the same reason.

3. Is APC an Islam'ic fundamentalist party like violent muslim brotherhood of Egypt? Can Islamic terrorist organizations like Boko-Haram, MURIC, Ansarudeen and ISWAP, etc accept Christian-Christian ticket?

BATstards and Buharideens are unrepentant hypocrites.
1. Is there no competent Christian member of APC from the 19 northern states who is good enough for Tinubu's running mate? If religion does not matter but competency, is there not competent Christian in the entire North?
There are competent Christians but they are not popular enough to win elections in the North. It's just like asking Obi or Atiku to pick a muslim candidate from the Southeast or Southsouth. We do not at the moment have comparatively popular muslim politicians in those regions. This is also the issue with picking a Christian currently from the North.

2. If religion does not matter, what about tribe? Does tribe matters? Can APC fields Yoruba-Yoruba or Igbo-Igbo ticket? If Tinubu could not choose Yoruba running mate, then he shouldn't have chosen a Muslim for the same reason.
None of them should matter really if you ask me, but we are not yet matured. Tribe matters more than religon because religion should be personal philosophy and have little or nothing to do with politics.

3. Is APC an Islam'ic fundamentalist party like violent muslim brotherhood of Egypt? Can Islamic terrorist organizations like Boko-Haram, MURIC, Ansarudeen and ISWAP, etc accept Christian-Christian ticket?
Tinubu himself has a Christian wife and APC has a pastor currently as vice president. Those groups you mentioned would not even consider a man like Tinubu to be a serious muslim, even Buhari may not look like a serious muslim to them because he is not implementing sharia nationwide or even extending it across the North. Funny enough, it was a so called Christian President who allowed sharia in 12 Northern states, not even muslim Dictators like Abacha and Babangida gave into that.

One of the most notorious SARS men was James Nwafor. He was not appointed by Tinubu but by a certain beloved messaiah today. Now imagine if Tinubu had appointed him, the likes of you would have brought down this forum in protest already grin.

A long debate is actually necessary in my opinion. Debate based on facts and facts alone not sentiments.

All these mediocre achievements and Lagos still sits at the bottom of world city ratings - all hail second worst city to live in the world. grin Ordinary dirt, your Tinubu-inspired Lagos cannot even manage in the 21st Century, despite running things for 23years! Bow o, to the one-eyed king in the land of the blind! All hail a so-called smart city that is still struggling with water problems, inadequate schools, housing deficits, good roads. Biko, hail a smart city that can't even compete with lowly Casablanca, Tunis and Joburg!

Shior! You must think everyone is as stupid as those you deceive in your stupid party of ne'erdowells..

Why have you not also extended this energy to Anambra and Okpoko?

I think we all should be weary of these politicians.
My greatest shock was when an Anambran described Obi as a curse and a bad omen for Anambra. Is HE Obi so bad?
Most of those who commented did not have anything good to say about him.
It's surprising he is the one being packaged and hyped today. Buhari was also well packaged in 2015 grin.

Okay, but you asked this question in June:

"Who amongst all those men vying for the same post are any better than him? None!"

This would mean you believe Obi is currently better than the other candidates.

Tinubu vs Obi is a walkover.

Maybe 20 years ago, we would have done this, but now,

Tinubu is in no state of health or frame of mind to be compared to Obi. Give us Osinbajo or Fashola please.

Don't just wish Nigeria evil.
Okay then let's forget about Tinubu. List the reasons why you think Obi is competent.

Who is more competent than him?
What makes Obi more outstanding than the others?
Let's discuss here:

Tinubu vs Obi.

Go first on why you think Obi is more competent to rule Nigeria than Tinubu. Let's discuss competence only first.

There are many things I dislike about a Tinubu candidacy like Health, Age, Corruption.

But this debate is only on Administrative Competence, let's Go.

Some of the people who commented on the front page (about two of them I am aware of now) are supporting Obi currently and never denied those were their posts from way back in 2012. So this has nothing to do with being IT Oriented.

Call a spade a spade. This was a real thread in 2012, not backdated. This shows that Obi is just like the other politicians or what has changed in these 10 years?
Make we shine our eyes. Don't fight for any candidate, fight for a modification of the constitution. Any of them win, we can only pray for the best.
Personally, I don't fancy any of them and they all of their strengths and weaknesses.

You're even going too far. He was governor of Anambra state when Fashola was governor of Lagos state we know how Lagosians begged Fashola for a 2nd term. I can't even remember him being among top 10 in Nigeria then. He's just a hype
But Obi supporters would say Lagos already has good foundation and was once a capital with all the ports. This is why I don't use Lagos in most of my arguments with them. I try to draw comparison with the likes of Kogi and Ebonyi so they have fewer excuses.
