Danielnino00: Exactly.. I believe it was a conspiracy from the VAR room.. The referee was quick to give Tanganout a yellow card for the foul on Ohale, and after she did the same to Ajibade,VAR had to call her to recheck it..WTF?
Also that penalty check in the last minute of regular time was laughable... It was a clear case of robbery... But we move!
I hope Morocco use this same conspiracy to beat South Africa in the final... South Africa need to have a taste of their own medicine like they did to Tunisia and Zambia.. Since Morocco have decided they will win the tournament on home soil, why stop at the semi final? Let them go all out against South Africa... It will be an interesting encounter...
If South Africa don't win it this time, then they should probably forget about it forever.
Kanu in for Ordega for today's Starting XI could turn out to be a Masterclass.
The midfield picks remain on point.
Defence.... Solid and technically able through and through.
It's a superb lineup similar to the XI vs Cam (Exception of Ordega) and ARGUABLY our strongest in this particular competition.
Let's kick some Moroccan asses, Super Falcons. Show them why you remain the most dreaded force on the continent.
I don't think the coach is incompetent from my assessment so far ( if I may just chime in something). I can say he actually listens. He just has to change his long ball strategy.
babamoha: Good luck to him sha but he can't achieve this without government support and influence
Even U.S Billionares , French Billionaires, etc have their Government support. We have several other big people with Government support in Nigeria but they are not Billionaires. The reason is that they don't use money well, probably they store it in the Bank or buy houses in Dubai.
Nah it's not really. You can be rich or have money but not wealthy. Forbes can only measure your wealth by what your existing investments are even if you have trillions in your account. What is the worth of your business which you have shares in and how many percent shares.
If you are a Christian, you can also get this from the parable of christ. The man who saved his money and did not invest it to multiply it, was not considered rich.
Pidginwhisper: WAFU is a stupid entity. I’m sure they took brine for them to have allowed such to fly in the first place. It’s absolutely rubbish. We’d be seeing basketball scoreline at the WC.
Permit me to look at this from a different viewpoint, haven watched Ghana, Ivorycoast, Morocco, and Zambia. I don't think Ghana and Ivorycoast would have been spectacular at the Worldcup, anymore so than Morocco and Zambia. Yes they are highly ranked and have history, but I see little difference in quality between those teams and Morocco/Zambia.
Note that Zambia may even have three of their top players (who are missing in this tournament) back for the World cup.
Let us admit that COSAFA teams have improved overtime because of the very organized COSAFA cup held every two years.
We also only managed to beat Botswana just 2-0. But I agree the qualifiers pairing was rubbish because Ivorycoast and Ghana should have been in this tournament even at the expense of upcoming Botswana.
Richie8701: my point is Nigerians have celebrations in their villages when they suddenly fall into money and South Africans don't do that
Well, most of the Nigerians who even do that are nowhere near the Forbes list. All 3-5 Nigerian Billionaires on Forbes List do not show off or celebrate in their village because of that.
Dangote, Adenuga, Rabiu, all live a quiet life somewhere in Lagos.
It doesn't work that way. Name one investment of Bobo Chicago that is worth more than Dangote fertiliser. Wealth is not about what you have in your bank account but the worth of your assets or investments.
Richie8701: This thing that Nigeria has the richest person in Africa must stop we have Elon musk... Viva South Africa viva, we even have more millionaires and billionaires than the whole of Africa come on man. The thing about South Africans is that even if we don't show off like Nigerians or other Africans when we have money it's just the way a lot of us grew up we don't believe in showing off but don't deceive yourself the money is there
Forbes is not about showing off. Dangote didn't come out to say he is the richest person in Africa. Forbes did that for him. Also, Elon Musk didn't make his money in South Africa. We are talking about people who are from Africa and made their money in Africa.
Federalis: What me I don't understand is, why is he looking for money to complete his refinery, when he is worth that much (20.2 billion dollars)?
He is worth 20.2 Billion dollars means all his assets and businesses everywhere are worth 20.2 Billion dollars. They are not talking about paper money in their bank accounts. They are measuring the worth of what they have all established. That is how wealth is calculated not paper money.
abobote: Dangote is the most fortunate billionaire. Stop putting his name there, in a competitive market, he can not compet
Someone that can't compete has several cement plants across African countries. So how does he keep the business running in countries like Ethiopia, South Africa, Tanzania, without the Nigerian Government? Also the kind of projects Dangote undertakes and how massive they are shows that he is no small thinker.
Amotekun777: Meanwhile Dangote is on the list as a result of poor governance, severely corrupt governance / favoritism from the FG of the most populous nation in Africa granting him monopolies on all fronts. Where's the business acumen in that? You wonder why Dangote left the Flour industry... He simply can't compete.
If every Nigerian through coercion forcefully donates N1 each to me, I'll boast of ~N200M which probably makes me rich from a 9ja standpoint. Does that mean I'm a business guru? No.
AkinDS: You opined that the level of football displayed by our SF team has been disappointing to you. However, the US coach suggested different, and believes the team is becoming one to be reckoned with at the world stage and offered to have a double header with the SF, a privilege afforded to teams they regard highly. I believe it’s a very good sign
Bro, let's be honest with ourselves. Do you think we are really getting better?
AkinDS: To be the best, you have to play against the best. Brazilian ladies played the US numerous times, sometimes 2 or 3 times in a year and used to get walloped until they beat the US one day and leveled the playing field. Same with Germany, Canada and Australia. Jamaica is following suit. So, there’s nothing wrong with the idea.
The only problem with this analogy is that the Brazillian team as at the time they were losing to the U.S were not struggling against way lesser teams than the U.S. Brazil from the 1990's were only behind European super powers, Japan, China, and the U.S then. So you can say they were at a particular level. The football displayed by our Superfalcons has not been encouraging enough to me, so we need to gauge our players with some half decent teams where we can at least see more of them a little bit.
Tayser: @GeneralDaejoyoung, do Naijas eat cow hide/skin as she claims? Never would've thought that was possible. In Kenya we use them to make very durable types of boots known as safari boots.
In the first quarter of 2022, Nigerian startups raised $600m, followed by Kenya’s $482m, South Africa’s $228m, and Egypt’s $202m. The rest of Africa raised $306m to bring the total value of funding to $1.8b in Q1, 2022.
Nigeria experienced a 30% dip in second quarter though as compared to the previous quarter.
