Ezmans:State Governors can build federal roads too and collect reimbursements. Many state Governors have done that. |
PresidObi:What did you get from PDP in the South East? PDP even ignored South East politicians to go for Atiku. |
ProblemChild1:Convince me please. |

kernniejay:How can Buhari be a failure after making our Navy so powerful with these modern equipments you see on this thread, such that this year alone, there have been no piracy on our waters ( what used to be one of the most vulnerable in the world for time immemorial)? How is Buhari a complete failure, when he revived the Warri-Itakpe rail, that today transport important construction materials? A rail that was abandoned by Babangida in 1987? How is Buhari a complete failure, when the second Niger Bridge used as a campaign tool by all PDP Government in time past, finally got out of power point under this Government to become something we can actually see in real life going on? Lagos-Ibadan road abandoned by previous Governments despite the importance of the road is currently undergoing final markings. How is Buhari a failure when under his Government, the PIA bill abandoned for decades was finally signed. How is Buhari a failure, when under him another oil bill lagging since 1993 that allows more investors in, was finally resolved last week. How is Buhari a failure despite the fact that the start up bill for our tech entrepreneurs is now becoming a reality. How is Buhari a failure, when under him, two of the largest rice mills in the world are being constructed. One in Lagos and one in Katsina. How is Buhari a failure, when under him the Lekki Sea Port is becoming a reality. How is Buhari a failure when the AKK gas pipeline is on course What of the 700 MW Zungeru power plant? How is Buhari a failure, when under him Herdsmen-farmer crises have been largely resolved to an extent in 3 years after decades of the recurring problem? How is Buhari a failure when the Siemens deal would eventually begin operations September despite COVID and local law problems that almost hindered the project How can Buhari be a failure, when our ease of doing business ranking under him improved? How can Buhari be a failure, when old Biafran soilders who were promised compensation and were owed for decades were compensated under him? How is Buhari a failure? when for the first time in our history, FAAC received nothing from NNPC (due to increase in subsidy), yet FAAC distributed over 800 Billion naira in July ( the highest ever) from majority non oil revenues. I have so much to type, but damn, is this what you call complete failure? |
babajero:Rome was not built in a day. The groundwork for the Nigeria we should have been enjoying today should have been laid by Babangida, Abacha, and Obasanjo. |
CaptainFM1:What is unprofessional about it? |

laiza:I tire oo. So now they expect the navy to start fighting bandits?? |
ransomed:Your PDP Government under Obasanjo did way more than this, even with militants disturbing the Niger Delta region daily. Your beloved PDP Jonathan sent troops in 2012 to assist France in Mali despite the growing BokoHaram disturbance even when they were openly bombing churches in Kano and Niger state then. |
Kaysalas:Tinubu increased IGR from 600 million to 7 Billion naira not 40 Billion naira. Today IGR is 51 Billion naira monthly. Also worth noting, is that although Tinubu made great efforts, the economy was opening up just after the military rule, so new investments were bound to flow into Nigeria, with Lagos getting the fair share. Tinubu however, should be applauded for his work on the Lekki Free Trade Zone investment. Finally, it is not correct to say allocations were ceased in Tinubu's time, rather local Government allocations were ceased because Tinubu created new local Governments in defiance of Obasanjo. |
1bunne4lif:To protect their president. Their president was attacked and almost killed by rebels the last time. He came to Buhari in Abuja and Buhari promised to help under ECOWAS. This is not the first time Nigeria is doing this. Obasanjo despite battling militants in the Niger Delta then, still did way more than this. |
And yet people say Buhari is a complete failure. |
mbos:How do you build human capital? What is your idea of building human capital? To me, it still boils down to job creation. How do you create Jobs? through infrastructure of course. ...Lekki deep Sea Port would have employed many Nigerians, creating jobs and even after operation in December, more Nigerians would be employed. ...The Siemens transformers to be fixed from September, would have already trained Nigerians fixing and maintaining them afterwards. Those are more jobs created and human capital. ...The Imota rice mill to be operational from October would have many in Lagos employed. ...The ongoing AKK gas pipeline construction is being operated wholly by a Nigerian company called Oilserve. ...The ongoing Ebonyi Airport construction has created jobs and would create more after operations. ...The ongoing rehabilitation of PortHarcourt refinery to be operational in 2023 would create new jobs and have people employed. ...The 600 million dollars steel plant in Southern Kaduna being built by a private firm would have many people employed. I can go on and on. The best way to improve human capital is to build infrastructures. |
Nigerian electronic digital payments in just first 7 months of 2022 hit 204.5 trillion naira ( about 480 Billion dollars). A 40% increase in e-payments in the country Y-o-Y. https://nairametrics.com/2022/08/15/e-payments-in-nigeria-hit-n204-5-trillion-between-january-and-july-2022-nibss/ |
vankelvin:This is first time I'm seeing something like this ever. Just when you thought you've seen it all. |
theenchanter:Even for Naija, I never see this kine election before. |
kayjay69:Lagos to excravos pipeline was just recently expanded to 2.2 km to supply electricity to industries in parts of Ogun State. There's another one ongoing from the East. You guys just complain, but most don't know much, they just join the bandwagon to wail. |
obaaderemi:A large chunk of their economy at a time was also dependent on smuggling goods into Nigeria. They were most affected by the closure of our borders. Now of course, they may be doing something right to have a negative inflation. For me, I do not take them that seriously though because they do not really have a central bank that makes some top financial policies for them, like control of interest rates and so forth. There's one central bank for 8 West African countries controlled by France. |
obaaderemi:Benin republic does not even have a central bank or a currency they control totally. So I do not think the current low inflation in Francophone West Africa is completely of their own doing or special economic policies. Benin with 12 million people benefits from both worlds. Lots of foreign investors from China and Europe currently as well as proximity to Lagos. Benin is doing quite well in her own way at the moment and is currently building one of the largest free trade zones for manufacturing in Africa at the moment. |
Just40:I know, I'm saying they shouldn't be having increased prices overtime at the state which they are. |
Just40:Switzerland is one of the most expensive countries to live in world over. So they don't need to face inflation, they are the Inflation. |
Saddamochieng00:Growing up, it wasn't so in my experience. But after 2015 it was something else. Politics have a major role to play in this. Buhari and APC party as a whole have not really been the favourite of the youths in general. Sometimes for cogent reasons, but most times due to propaganda. |
Simeonjoe1:Na only complain dem sabi. Ask them about solutions, zero. |
Saddamochieng00:YouTube is big money these days. You make videos on Nigeria and you don't get much views. The youths in Naija are more interested in Davido, Burnaboy, and BBnaija. But make a video praising Kenyans or Ghanaians and you make enough YouTube money for life. |
Just40:My biggest issue with this Ghanaian Government currently is: Why continue with stuff like school feeding programs and all that stuff, when you need more revenue? Why have over 100 ministers on your pay role, when Ghana is more of a centric Government? Also, I wonder why they spent such billions on revival of the banks? (maybe you should help me understand that situation better). At the end of the day, our African Governments are just almost all thesame. |
obaaderemi:PVC is not the problem, who to vote is the problem. My candidate was Osinbajo. Now I am an Osinbajo refugee and still confused. Nigeria's total debt is just 95 Billion dollars. Those of Egypt and South Africa ( with lesser population and slightly lesser economic sizes) are over 200 billion dollars (still rising). South Africa is even okay, because they have more of local debts, but that of Egypt is borderline insane. Our total foreign debt is now close to 40 billion dollars, which is about 40% of our total debt. |
Goddson:What spine exactly? If you had mentioned Eritrea, I would have taken you more seriously. But even then, these countries (Eritrea, Rwanda) are too small to be of much importance to the West. It's just a case of "small yansh sef dey shake". |
BluntCrazeMan:Obi that wants to save money? look at you. |
