Basicend:Same way most of you guys defended Hushpuppi then when he was showing off. I'm not comparing the pastor to Hushpuppi. I'm just baffled at the Nigerian mentality concerning wealth and success. It's a skewed mentality, that's why people would rather show off houses, cars, Gucci, as a sign of living the life. It's thesame reason why our people worship money and commit all sorts of crime abroad to get quick money. It is seen in how black entertainers and sportsmen show their wealth as well. Probably it's the black man's mentality of what success is. |
Prolific007:People are not saying pastors should be poor. They are saying pastors should not show off material things. I am speaking generally here and not necessarily about Paul Eneche. |
IGpro1:You are getting it all wrong. Those who show off material things as evidence of their wealth are the ones suffering from the effects of poverty. |
Joydan95:Wealth from labour of the gospel are supposed to be righteous congregations living kingdom lifestyle and going to heaven. It seems to you, the fruit of the labour of the gospel is money and material things. |
The coach seem to believe in negative football. Also that ogbonna is not the best we should be offering at that position. The coach does a poor job of reading players ability in my opinion. |
dankorode:Lol |
Charx122:Showing off luxurious things to show that you have arrived is poverty mentality. Elon musk showing off his contribution to Tesla for instance or Dangote boasting of his refinery and how it employs many people is the true mentality of a rich man. |
Schemerkhiz:Why do you think Ezenagu was left out? |
Kaiser20:Nah his reasoning is spot on. Nigerians and black in general love to show off and that is the true definition of poverty mentality. Truly rich people discuss more about their businesses and how they are adding more value. They care less about luxurious things but the black man in general have the wrong idea of wealth. |
JeogahII:Get to wat level for God's sake? |
Charx122:How do you define enjoyment? How many times do you see Dangote or even Elon musk posting such pictures? |
otabaotaba:I am not hear to judge Paul Eneche but I think you don't get it. It is not about being rich but the mentality attached to such wealth is the problem. Truly rich people like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Aliko Dangote, focus more on their investments and the work they put in their enterprises, but Politicians, Yahoo boys, and the likes just want to show material things they have. That's the true definition of poverty mentality. |
seunoni34:Did you specialize in IT and is your new German job IT related? |
Just30 do you agree that religon can give birth to a whole new set of customs and traditions? |
Just30:So because something came first, it cannot be changed or influenced by other things that came after? Also custom must not necessarily develop before religon can exist ( e.g in the case of Egypt and many ancient civilizations, we do not know what came first) and even if I should grant that fallacy, it still doesn't change the fact that religon is the primary influencer and backbone of cultures. For example, the customs of the middle east were practiced by all in that region including the isrealites, but moses also brought religon that modified some customs and changed some things in the way of life of his people, same with Muhammed, Buddha, etc. |
Just30:I agree with you but custom is primarily influenced by religion. Religion for instance made the Egyptians bury their kings the way they did due to the belief in life after death. It made the ancient jews conduct burials the way they did. Religion have influenced the dressing of many societies. Custom comes first but it is always influenced by the religion of the people. Customs do not exist in a vacuum, religion gives them their life wire in most cases. |
Just30:This is irrelevant to my point. Also read my edited post and tell me what you think. |
Just30:You are the one who needs to be educated on this my man. Take Saudi Arabia pre and pro Muhammed as an example. Almost all of the entire culture of the Arab world today is based on islam and their interpretation of it. It's very different from Arabia pre Muhammed. Also all of the pyramids and occultic customs of ancient Egypt stemmed from their belief in the gods and priests as well as life after death. Christmas is a culture but it was also first religion, and so on. Religion is defined as a way of life of a people. |
Just30:Culture itself is largely influenced by religion and vice versa. That's the point. |
Just30:Every societal custom have their basis in the religion of that society, from ancient sumeria and Egypt to Roman Catholic Christian Europe in the middle ages to African customs and all around the world. Men have always developed their customs and traditions based on the wil of the gods at least up until the 18th century enlightenment. The enlightenment also would never have happened without a combination of many factors of which the christian religion itself was the major anchor. |
lovewins:And the question is: Have you monitored her performance in the spanish club so far? Note that the Spanish club is the only club that truly matters in her career so far. |
airsaylongcome:Yeah I agree you can go in the deep end first, but in terms of the job market, there are usually more data analysis jobs than data science jobs. When I bought my first computer, I started with stuff like java and python those days even with just a very sketchy/ rudimentary knowledge of Microsoft Word, and you wouldn't believe it, I knew nothing in excel at a time and yet I could write python functions, loops, dictionaries, etc. So I agree with you that we can start from the deep end while learning. Most people think if you know programming, then you are already a Master in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. They forget it's all about what you spend your time on. However, when applying to jobs in the data space, I still believe that although you can start learning from the deep end, still it is easier to see more vacancies for jobs that may require just Excel and SQL. |
tensazangetsu20:Data analysis have aways been in demand. The problem is everybody wants to just fly into Data science to do python. Data analysis requires just advanced excel and tableau skills at the minimum without any coding knowledge. It is easier to transition into Data science roles from there. Just imagine trying to apply as a backend or fullstack developer without knowledge of frontend development. |
seunoni34:The Blue Card Visa (18b para 2) for a non EU citizen ( especially those relocating directly for the job) is given only after the Agentur für Arbeit ( German Government Work Agency) approves it. In the past they checked to see if locals or at least Europeans can do the job first ( although that law is getting more and more relaxed). They also verify the salary of the job to see if it is worth the blue card as well as your certificates ( if they are commensurate to the German standard) and or experience as an academic qualified professional. |
Klammer01:You mean Zambia not South Africa. Actually no African team has ever gotten past the group stage of the Olympics except the superfalcons in 2004 in their second appearance. Zambia has even done better than most African teams that have ever played at the Olympics by scoring a record seven goals in just one Olympic tournament. This is to tell you how poor African women football has been on the world stage ( Nigerian superfalcons not excluded). As for the qualifiers, we lost to Ivorycoast then, who lost to Cameroon, who lost to Zambia. Zambia deserved to qualify then. Superfalcons have just been poor when it comes to the home and away qualifiers and partly in our style of play for some years now. |
Danielnino00:I think they blame it on Corona. |
We still need to do something about that midfield. |
Schemerkhiz:The field is too small honestly. Dunno why we prefer lagos though and not Abuja. |
Starting 11 Nnadozie Ogbonna Ohale Ebi Sunday Regina Payne Rasheedat Oshoala Kanu Ordega |
Schemerkhiz:Ifeoma Onumonu, when do you think she would start playing real games for Nigeria? |
Yet they would blame poverty for their crime. Both the drug dealers and Yahoo boys always blame it on poverty. Even Hushpuppi say na poverty cause am, lol. It is not poverty, it is the get rich quick attitude. Nigerians in general have the wrong view of money. They just want to be rich for the sake of being rich or to oppress. Rather than focus on value and services, they focus on just money, cars, houses, etc. Because of this mindset, when they have the money they don't reinvest that money into a craft to provide value and multiply value( as required by jesus in parable of the talents), rather they either save it in a bank or even worse spend it on Gucci, Cars, Mansions, Rolex, Women, etc. |
babasolution:Look for paid Internship positions to start with. |

That is what most of these pastors are enjoying. Most of these pastors are from lineage of pastors that has laboured for the gospel and they are reaping the labour of their fore fathers . So if pastor Paul Enenche decide to go to Trump tower to bathe , e no concern you.
. They could not get past the group stage
