How can people request a ride and want to carry 12 bags of pure water, three Travelling bags and 4 adults.

Well I declined, right there as I was about leaving. A matrix came and pack all loads and riders.

Me I can’t, maybe the money I use in buying my car is still peppering me sha. I don’t know lol
.

The is one of the annoying part of this business, nah this kind trip dey spoil car shocks, if the trip come get 50% discount nah one dey pain pass come kill morale join grin

One painful experience years back like 2019, I won't forget was day i carried 3 hefty guys and 1 lady from ShopRite Alausa to Lagos Island with foodstuffs and provisions in large quantity, 2bag of rice, big gallons of grannutdoil.

When I got their to destination and ended the trip, I was crying on the inside. App showed: collect ₦1600 Bolt will compensate you the remaining ₦1200.

Since then excess passenger or excess luggage is not my kind of trip anymore, I do not waste time to cancel and decline that kind of trip

How I can carry 4 people and heavy items in my Booth and be paid ₦1600 on a journey of 25Km and 1hour 15mins. It's demoralising and enslaving, even detrimental to my car. Yellow taxi will not take nothing less than ₦5000 on this trip.

Some drivers who do useless unprofitable trip like this don't maintain and repair cars. They do not know what cost of maintenance is all about.

B4 we vote, for any of these politicians let’s look at their track records, both Tinubu and Peter Obi have good track records and are worth voting for, that is not to say they are clean, both are crooks, but extremely creative gentleman when it comes to IGR.
They will fix our electricity problem, track records are pertinent, remember GEJ who recorded an income of $500b in oil revenue,
Present performance and competence matters most, then followed by track record. Fashola had a good track record on infrastructural development in Lagos and Buhari had good record on Corruption in the the 80's.
Currently they are total failures.

What do you think of these cars, all cars are fairly Nigerian Used.

Toyota Avensis 2008 Automatic

Honda CITY 2008 Manual

Hyundai Accent 2007 Manual

I consider fuel economy
Maintenance cost resale value.

May be used for e-hailing occasionally.
Feli just answered your question, Automatic over Manual anyday anytime. People will prefer to buy an auto car than a manual car

Toyota Avensis is the best option to go with.

Honda dey always get leg problem, e fit dey disappoint on highway. And besides it's manual.

Kia parts are more expensive than Honda and Toyota. Kia Nigerian used reselling might be a little harder to get buyers.

Bolt dey charge 25% now o. Thought someone said 20%. Maybe I'm wrong!

I had a positive balance of 2030.

Did a card trip of 800.....25% of bolt charge will make 600 balance.

Then another card trip of 1500......25% of bolt charge will make 1125 balance.
That's 1725 + 2030 = 3,755.
Even if I remove govt's ₦20, I will have 3,715.

5% difference on each trip is 115.
Na now u just dey discover, I found out during Xmas period.

My brother go and hustle very hard to raise that capital. If it is by moving Lagos up and down. Just do it . for you to be successful you have to be willing to do things others are not willing to do. This is what will separate you from others.......

Once you are able to achieve that goal, you will appreciate better than me giving you a loan. There is nothing like getting it from the mud .. It makes your success sweeter.....

Look at Davido now , I might not be a huge fan of his music. But I respect his hustle, all cars and houses are from his sweat and not from daddy. This is why he can do has he pleases. He worked hard, he might not have talent like others. But he worked harder and smarter...

So young man , do the same and thank me later. And me I don't have 6m to loan u or even 1k to loan...if u know my struggle blood sweat and tears . you will not ask me such a primitive question.....
Naaaaaah, wetin i dey find now nah ise Kekere, Owo NLa NLa.

Agba Owo for dat matter (Bulk money). grin

I don't want to trade my time for money by moving Lagos alone. I found out the Rich don't trade time for money. They trade ideas for billions.

"Ise opolo" that is where the money is. Since you said u won't borrow me. No Lele, No hard feelings. grin but have u ask yourself where Davido got the name 30BG. That's the sum a Big financial institution loaned his dad for business years ago.

Thats where he formed the name 30BG (30 billion gang). I can beat my chest that Davido Omo Adeleke is one of the beneficiary of that mammoth funds.

No man is an island, no one is truly self-sufficient, everyone must rely on the company and comfort of others in order to thrive.

So Baba help your broda grin

Na wa o, u never dey Dubai 1 week you don dey cancel people post dey call am trash. E be like say your matter worse pass Nigerian politicians o.I have not seen where anybody posted that doing E hailing is a.last busstop, even if it is that's his choice. So many people here started E hailing for different reasons, some have met their target and moved on just the same way more people are venturing into it. You said you been driving for about 4/5 yrs right? Every biz has its own hassles so let's not go into that. But you were able to save 4mil, you decided to take a trip to Dubai right? Then all of a sudden what made it possible has turned to a plague in your eyes and you have automatically turned to a career specialist and life coach. If you take 1.5mil from 4mil that's how much? You don't just throw something that assisted you to save 4 mil into the trash and I know you know E-hailing is one of the safest way to save money if you are hardworking and disciplined though things have been shaky since. You fit don see things for Dubai and planning on investing, guy shine your eye nothing is automatic,e go shock u. I would have gone on but i know say you go soon strike out this post and call it trash. You are still intoxicated from your trip so when you get back and your eye don clear read am again. I no say make you no hang boot o, but do so without negativity na your choice and everybody will face his own reality. I no wan hear say you enter steering again o. Godspeed bro
Baba Naija is truly a 3rd world country

We are really suffering in Nigeria, Try and visit Dubai one day you will understand me well.

Where I dey now,

I don forget say Nepa dey take light, constant electricity. Light never blink for once. 24 hours supply. No noisy generator. Every where cool and quiet.

Good road network, no pothole, no gallop, no traffic. Gbogbo titi lo te (smooth road everywhere) street light every where with camera

Cream chicks and guys every where smelling nice and fresh.

Police and security very tight: No bribe, No harrasment. Even police dey use Bugatti Chiron as their day to day patrol vehicle. Cars wey dem DINO MELEYE dey take oppress us nah em Dubai police dey use protect lives and property.

Their Uber there nah latest cars, very clean and neat. No jalopy cars.

Magnificent and beautiful edifices everywhere, standard shopping malls wey better beat ShopRite hands down.

I was told that the real citizens of Dubai don't work, Government pay them monthly, they are all property owners in the city. They only come out at night to flex.

Omo Nigerians are suffering, with all the natural resources wey we get we never still develope like this

What baffles me most is that all these politicians would go to Dubai and comeback and wont build the same thing they saw here.

I never condemed Bolt/Uber,.don't get it twisted.

Lately it isn't lucrative like the way it use to be.

Things have changed alot

Only those who started when it was good will understand.

The more you look the less u see......How are sure those cars are not rented
Most supercars in dubai are bought on Credit. Buyers pay 10% - 30% down payment and the remaining is spread for 1-5years. I was told there are places in Dubai where they auction exotic cars at cheap prices.

Is not like Naija where someone will carry all the money in his bank account and buy car. All that is required is a mouth watering Job and good credit score. Then u re good to go.

Some Naija guys are doing well there. especially in I.T field, They can afford it. It's even more expensive to rent cars in a long-term because the hourly rate is very exorbitant.

Bolt gives 2 weeks, after expiration date...

How will they give you 6weeks grace for a inspection report that span just 4 months.
. 5 years plus in the game: I know what am talking about. There was even a time I drove extra 4 months before they demanded for a new inspection. That was 2018 to be precise. I won't forget.

I got reported by Pearl that's just the reason grin, he felt am discouraging people from driving, but am speaking the naked truth.

They are still looking for her since yesterday.

These occurrences dey spoil biz for bolt small small
it is high time they introduce Facial recognition or finger print feature on their App. There are so many drivers with more than 1 accounts. Which is not suppose to be. Some are even selling accounts to criminals and kidnappers unknowingly thinking they are doing favour to drivers whose has account has been blocked. facial recognition or finger printing feature will definitely tighten security on the App.

Before any driver can login and use the app, they have to go through a verification process.

Most riders don't check plate number and drivers profile picture very well, they just jumping into any Car that looks Uber.

It's very clear to me now that Pearl is a Bolt agent on this thread: I have a very strong evidence on this:

I am in my hotel room now.

I just got an email from BOLT 10 mins ago that my Car has been removed from the platform due expired inspection. Unlike Bolt that gives me additional 3 to 6 weeks extra. So Pearl is now a crime to a contradict your opinion on Nairaland grin.

Pearl1910:
Until u accept responsibility for the change u desire and fulfil all it demands u will never experience one.
Stop asking God why, work with what you have to fulfil ur own dreams.
Some people don't have dreams or even a plan, all they know is they just want to b rich, It doesn't work that way... yea u may be lucky someone or one opportunity may just change ur life one day but the generality of how these things work is a conscious step and plan to achieve it. Even God will work with what u have, it's not magic or rocket science.

Most car owners don't take this work serious...ones u can feed and pay common bills, u r okay. But u will be complaining and day dreaming about wealth. While others are multiplying their fleet. If u cant drive again, give the car out on rentals or u sell it and put the money into another business u feel is more profitable with less stress. Nobody says u must do Uber.
Some of us here are just NFAs (no future ambition) but want to be rich, while some have business acumen, and others have a plan to work their way out of this and grow their career. Ask yourself; Where do I fall into? What have u achieved with your earnings in the last 12months or 6months or how much have u saved.

Isn't it Ludacris (asin ridiculous, crazy and laughable) that someone saved N4million from a business, and took a vacation and what most people are doing is still undermine that business? Saying "Uche this Ushe dat" "Moving Lagos up and down" "running kitikata" and so f*ckin what, if that's what u need to do to make d millions and change ur life the way u wish. Nobody will dash u money that will make u somebody, even if they put u in ur dream job or business, u still have to work it out. Many guys that get freedom from their trade blow their capital in less than 1yr and some others grow it into generational wealth and build houses in Lagos and villa. What do u think is d difference in these people...it's discipline, hardwork and mentality so whatever u find doing, keep grinding in those trenches, have a plan and work it out. Cos u were not born with a silver spoon in ur mouth. Stop looking at house owners in Chevron and Osapa, and be asking God when and why? u will be upset all the time and probably die of depression. Especially if u don't thave a clear plan to achieve similar wealth. Some of those people didn't achieve it in one generation.
I would have kept quiet but I love u guys and I am allergic to negativity and wrong mentality that's why I finally spoke up. Now these words can hit u in any way; it may be offensive, a gentle reminder, a push, or repulsive. U don't have to like Pearl1910 but take the spirit and d letters of these words, know that freedom isn't cheap, there is no free meal even in freetown. It's never too late for anybody to discover himself and pursue his destiny and don't be cruel to speak bad about the opportunity that gave u that stepping stone.
Peace!!! Have a blessed day.

Only a kid yet to experience life would disagree with this your message. Nobody wants to work hard anymore. Most persons just want to jump from 0 to 100, quick money. Another one is saying “how can you go to school for 4yrs and be driving bolt, shame no dey catch you”. I laugh. cheesy

It is either this thread is made up of kids still eating mama thank you or something is seriously wrong.

To those who get carried away with the amount of BS I read here, biko don’t let anyone shame you for doing your legal hustle or put you under any pressure. Ignore all these pictures of girls dancing in Casablanca, smoking shisha or selling gold blah blah lol. Remember where you come from. If na Uberbolt your level reach. Do it with pride till you move to the next phase.

Another one was on front page yesterday asking why a man would be selling catapult? He never knew the importance of that device till he got tongue lashed yesterday. He said if he sees the man again he go burn all his catapult give am 100k. Someone asked why didn’t he give him the 100k when he met him that day, na there NEPA take light.

In a country where 80% don’t have up to 100k savings in their account, people still have energy to cancel another man’s hustle. A country if not for India recently was the poverty capital of the entire world.

Wahala for who get carried away with all these shenanigans going on here.

Nigerians are very dull and not smart in their thinking, it was an invitation from Tinubu for novelty football match to mark his 70th birthday not like they are really campaigning for him. These ex footballers has landed properties and businesses in Lagos State. From logical point view, the owner of Lagos invited you to his birthday and you decline to show up. What do you think will happen? They would frustrate your business with taxes and unfavourable laws. These guys are trying to protect their investment not that they campaigning for 2023 Elections.
