emmasege: Honestly, Baba Iyabo si ma s'ewon (will be imprisoned). I now fully comprehend why sani abacha jailed him. Obasanjo is a threat to national peace & unity. He's a disgrace to my Yoruba race. I'm less surprised anyway, a man who has no stable nuclear family can never have any child/wife to call him to order when he starts behaving like a child (a characteristic of certain old men in their old age). At the rate at which Ezekwesili's concubine is going, he will self-implode very soon. Are you a student of Nigeria political history? |

The VJ is the most sensitive part of the female's anatomy. And once you're over 21, and your VJ stinks, you should be ashamed of your existence. You're just basically dirty and classless.
Hopefully, this will be helpful. Read it all. Your post is educative, but the tonality of the 2nd is uneccessary.

Crime › Re: What Is Wrong With Our Police? by Gentlebabs(m): 11:16am On Dec 18, 2014 |
wildguy: Two days ago, on my way home from work around 9pm, I was stopped by some police men for carrying a laptop. The mistake I made was I did not have the receipt and my ID on me. They put me in a danfo bus and headed to their station. On the way they picked up anybody they saw that had a bag on them. There was even a guy that had a laptop with him with his ID card and receipt that they picked "cause he was walking around with a laptop alone". They seized all our phones till we got to the police station. If your claims are true, contact the nearest PCRC in your area and report for redress.
When we got to the police station they separated those of us that had laptops from those that didn't. All of us with laptops were branded yahoo boys. They told us to turn on our systems so they can analyse what was on the system. When I switched on my own they saw visual studio with codes and sql server open (I am a developer) and they concluded that that was the software that I use in scamming my clients. After punching and slapping me for not telling them the truth of how I do my operation (they opened my yahoomail account and saw nothing that suggested that I was a yahoo guy), they packed my bag with my laptop and locked me in a cell(there were about 20 guys in the cell). They allowed me to make some calls before they locked me up.
My folks later came to bail me out around 2 in the morning and can you imagine that after collecting money for bail they asked for money from me to collect my belongings that was with them (They said I had to pay for the fuel money)
I got home and I was thinking
a. Are we saying that someone with a laptop cannot work around with it, even if the person has a receipt and an ID card? b. How many people have they kept in the cell without any just reason or just cause "they were walking alone"? c. Is there no agency that punishes law enforcers for abusing their power? d. What training do the officers go through for them to separate a developer, photo editor, graphics designer from a yahoo guy? e. How do we want to develop ourselves in the field of ICT when everybody that carries a laptop is called a yahoo guy? |

If your 3rd party is geuine, call the insurance coy at the scene of crime and report the incidence, then they will.advise you, usually to take the 3rd party vehicle to the nearest garage. |
Car Talk › Re: How Can A Vehicle Owner Benefit From 3rd Party Insurance? by Gentlebabs(m): 6:09pm On Nov 04, 2014 |
Third party insurance is supposed to indemnify (compensate) the person you hit of an amount not more than #1,000,000. It saves you the stress and time of speaking too much grammar at the scene of crime. It is a civil way of resolving "You Don Hit My Car " Cases. All you need do is to ensure that your 3rd party is genuine & there is a website to check that, just Google it. The flat amount is #5,000 & you have a right to choose whatever insurance company you choose to offer you this service. Hope this little piece helps. Cheers! shortgun: Hello Nairalanders and gurus in d house.
Every time I go to renew my vehicle license I am also asked to pay for 3rd party insurance which most times is the most expensive document when renewing vehicle papers. I also noticed that the VIO office selects insurance companies at their discretion and ask you to pay, the insurance company for last year is different from that of this year. The car owners has no say as to which insurance company should insure his vehicle.
With my little knowledge of insurance, I understand that third-party insurance is to cover the cost of damages/repairs for the other vehicle(s) and not the title holder.
Now, fast forward to an accident scene, the police will come, measure distances, blame a particular driver for the accident and asks him to fix the car of the other driver or his vehicle will be towed to a police station and left there to rust if you can't afford to pay for d damages/repairs or until you are able to pay up. Nobody talks about insurance
What is the use of paying for a service you will never get? Are there means that a layman like me can demand for for d insurance companies appointment by the licensing Office to pay for repairs? Can we decide not to pay for 3rd party insurance? |

The keep checking people's phone for email address to negotiate bail n extort money while robbers n real criminals are busy having a field day. If d okada is very clean they ll seize it n give it 2 their small aboki boys 2 drive n bring return 2 them They dont chase thief at all. Another thing they dont go on transfer If u transfer them to agboju (nearby area outside festac) I heard they use more than 400k 2 bribe 2 come back 2 festac 2 continue checking people's phone or stand beside banks 2 share money with ''job men'' that are coming out from western union with dollars! FESTAC POLICE IS USELESS N CORRUPT N THIEVES! ARMED ROBBERS DONT COME 2 FESTAC D POLICE IN FESTAC ARE D ROBBERS! Yet they win laurels for crime bursting, best Police Command in West Africa. They have kept Festac safe since 1970, despite their failihilities. Yet, people will still pay over #400 to rent houses in Festac. The next time a Policeman stops you, You say "Good morning Mr. Uche, How is your family". Knowing you present or actually care a little could melt any purported ulterior motive. You - lol get a better result when you try to call him using his sign call. Hence I have decided to make it available to those who are not acquainted with it (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot, Gambia, Hotel, India, Juliet, Kilo, Lima, Mike, November, Oscar, Papa, Quebec, Romeo, Serial, Tango, Uniform, Victor, Whisky, Xerox, Yankee & Zulu).
Try spelling your name using this sign calls. Mine is: Bravo Alpha Bravo (Babs). Signing out. Cheers! |

Sometime in 2012, I was driving to Unilag for an exam which I was already late for. Before I negotiated 'Oja', I'm my quest to get to the hall quickly, I entered "That Lane" that most people still do not know is ONE - WAY. It took a passer - by whom I did not even know his face to hulla "One way - One Way" for me to realise and suddenly began to re - negotiate the road, but it was too late. The officers on duty quickly used "Okada", blocked me like they have been waiting for me to breach the law. Immediately I saw them, I removed my car key and gave it to them, acknowledging guilt & told them there is no ignorance in law. Fortunately for me, I know the Sign - calls from A - Z. As a Marketer, i addressed the officer that approached using his name tag "Uniform Charlie Hotel Echo". He looked at me & asked me to identify myself; for which I told him with a smile "I am a bloody civilian". With my car key in his hand, he looked at me in depth and said, "Chai! If not for your humility?. Just show us love". Unfortunately, I had just about #400 after buying fuel. I appealed to him that I am not buoyant at the moment, he should please forgive. He did, I left for my exam without paying a dime for an offence that is not less than #............. (You know how much you paid when you were caught).
Morale: Police is your friend. If you see them as your friend, you will be courteous in your approach and response. Who knows, it could be a win - win situation for you. This strategy still works for me like the talisman of India. Cheers! |
