Don't tamper with the factory settings. My car just clocked 4yrs in my possession with zero engine issues. I refused to connect my fan directly despite the advice of the local technicians and my car has never ever overheated for once. I don't have any check engine light presently and I do minor troubleshooting on my own with my Bluetooth scan tool. Our weather isn't as brutally hot as California's death valley..where most carmakers test their prototypes. Don't alter anything
SamuelTaiw0:
You better leave your car the way it is. Running your fan direct will change a lot of configuration. You may end up reducing the life span of your engine at the long run.
Gentlelife50:
Abeg ooo
Na why I decided to bring it here be this.

Once the fan is connected directly, you will be asked to change from single cell to double cell radiator.
Lobatan. sad
If I tell my oga this one, na another expenses to buy a DC radiator be that, which I know that 30k fit not buy a new one.
But which one is much safer?
1) Run the fan directly with double cell radiator?
2) Run the fan with thermostat with DC radiator?
3) Run the fan with thermostat with SC radiator?
Which one person go choose now?
Much respect, boss.

Is the engine unnecessarily hot? That is whenever you turn it off, even after say 20 minutes your engine compartment is still hot? If so, remove it, if not leave it.
Reason is cause the high temperature can damage other things.
Gentlelife50:
Is the car overheating?
Before dey begin dey find wetin to scatter
Mechanic only did servicing and helped replace linkage.
Rewire helped changed plugs cos car would vibrate strangely when AC dey on. Me I already know say na plugs/coil sign be that - scanned and it all pointed to plugs (leaking discovered). We kuku changed all of them and everything came back normal.
No overheating. But yes, it usually gets hot and stays for longer before cooling down a bit. Temperature gauge always stays in the middle and the radiator na single cell. Cos both of them know say na single cell radiator. Could that be the reason for their advices?
Make I sharply tell the car owner say na wetin engineers talk be this. grin

I gat a question, bosses.
A mechanic did small work on the car, after finishing, he noticed that the fanning system runs on thermostat. Which is true. He then advised to remove the thermostat and work the fan direct.
Yesterday, a rewire also helped with plugs work. When he was done, he also noticed and advised the same.
I was like, shey oyinbo people wey put am there no get sense be that ni?
Your views, legends?

BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Glithronix: 6:54pm On Jan 02, 2023
Abeg, legends, what's the highest speed you have driven while on a trip with your passenger(s) onboard?
As for me, I never did more than 100km/ph on highways.
If I was on a trip with a male passenger, I do 100km/ph.
If na female be my passenger, I don't go beyond 80km/ph, cos those gender fear faster speed pass anything.
If I have a mix of male and female on board, I still can go 100, cos I have a male here.
But if I was with no passenger on 3rd mainland bridge/oworonshoki-oshodi expressway (going/coming) and other notable highways, I do hit 140, depends on my mood and the time.
I remember some female passengers that would say, "bro, I'm in a hurry and I will appreciate you drive as fast as you can", after getting on highway and you clock 100 like this, the next thing I go hear na " please you're driving too fast ooh." undecided I go just laugh and reduce back to 80.
When I first joined the hustle, I no dey drive females reach 80, until it started looking like I was driving too slow, as per say time na money. Inside life. smiley
Much respect, bosses.

That rida app, very noisy and lousy. It just keeps bombarding you with same trips even after you skip. The second most annoying thing about the app for me is that I rely heavily on map visuals to see riders destination and this helps me make my decision if I am to go on a trip or not...theirs is so tiny.
They're not even sending me confirmation code yet.

Terrible finishing for me, but in all I give thanks. Was thinking I'll hit at least 800/900k. Very good chart that I have already seen the end to the point as the major task has been taken care off. My problem start on 25th, got to filling station, queue for like 30 mins. After getting gas, car refused to start. Gosh! Battery problem. If you never had one, you won't understand, begged and begged, but feels like all face is fixed on getting fuel. Called family members to see if I can rush home to pick beatery from other car, my people always off phone in church. Rush to go find jump start and finally get to start the car. After first short trip, position to get second trip, car won't start. Just told myself the truth... don't let this battery drag you to a point you will pay double. All effort to get battery and talk to available battery charger to even loan their battery for the day fell on deaf ear. Took me 4pm before I could get a battery. I know 4pm is still game, but for a day I have so prepared for. I gently admit my fate and call it a day. I try to work on the 26th and from 27th I've been down with sickness, just coming out to chill since then for the first time. We moove next year. Happy new my people.
Battery wahala, a very unpleasant experience when it arises.
It is well, baba.
