Oh well this is the reality of our time. My heart goes to the bereaved family all over the world, who have suffered the loss of their loved ones as a result of this pandemic or even any other causes of deaths.
But the bitter truth about death is that it is inevitable to mortals. And there are two types of death that man will experience after the second death you proceed to eternal life either in Heaven or Hell. The choice is all yours. I will explain.
The first death is separation from God caused by sin. Genesis 3:3
[3]But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. This is the response of Eve to the alluring question the serpent asked. Eventually she fell for it she and her husband suffered the the consequence of their disobedience to God. They lost their luxurious estate the garden of Eden, consequently lost their spiritual fellowship with God which is the death God was referring to, when He said if you eat of the tree of Knowledge of good and evil you will die. Of course you and I knows that after eating the forbidden tree they still goes on to leave. But this time around they are no more in right standing with God. They themselves knew it that's why they ran from God's presence to hide and cover their shame. Genesis 3:8
[8]And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. Sin is sweet but always has a terrible bitter and regrettable end. This is the sole reason why God has to present His son Jesus to the world to reconcile the world back to Himself as the only solution to restore what was lost in the garden of Eden. Romans 5:10
[10]For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
Second death is the state where our body is buried beneath the earth when one passes on. It is also referred as sleep because there's still going to take place the ultimate second death in Rev. 20:14; 1 Thessalonians 4:13
[13]But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. Genesis 5:5
[5]And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died. No matter how short or long we may leave here on Earth the Bible says. Hebrews 9:27
[27]And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: One day we must depart this world and face our creator weather you believe it or not is completely inconsequential. No body will escape God's judgement weather you believe in the existence of God or not. It will not change God's word. Study Mathew 25:31-46.
Now concerning the last phase I have already given you a hint in the second death above. Meanwhile let's look at it one more time. Let me inform you that it took God to pay the supreme price with His son Jesus to redeem us from experiencing eternity in hell. John 3:16-17
[16]For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
[17]For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Romans 5:6
[6]For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. But the ball is in your court, it is up to you to accept or reject God's offer. My dear friend I must tell you the truth and nothing but the truth. Heaven is real and Hell is equally real. If you are one of those who doubt this truth and you sincerely want to know, here's what you will do to unravel the truth yourself. Jeremiah 29:13
[13]And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Ask God if He truly exist as the Bible says, if indeed Heaven and Hell is real let Him reveal it to you personally. I guarantee you if you do this with sincerity of purpose from your heart, God Himself will reveal this thing's to you and not mortal trying to explain it to you. Revelation 20:12-15
[12]And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
[13]And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
[14]And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
[15]And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

So sorry about your experience. Am not interested about passing blame or judgment on you or even your wife. We all err in different ways before God and man. However we shouldn't crucify ourselves for our error but instead look for a positive way of moving forward with life. I will advice you invest more on yourself and step up your love for your wife. Do all you can to avoid laying your finger on her that's the most stupid thing you can do. Fighting with your wife or beating her up will never solve your problem, it will only aggravate the problem. But God fashioned a way out of this bondage of sin by introducing His own son Jesus who obeyed Him to the cross. Look at what Jesus did for you and I, He paid the supreme price for us, so that we will not need to pay for our sin/debt again. That's the good news I am talking about. But one more thing is still required of you and I. If I issue you a billion dollar cheque with my signature inscribed on it, and you refuse to stretch out your hand to receive it, does that suggest you really want to claim the a billion dollar bill offered to you for free? I don't think so. Same applies to the free gift of salvation, you need to consciously receive Jesus as your Lord and savior He is the free gift of God for salvation.

Good Nairaland I don't normally do this, bringing my family issue here but this issue is pissing me off.

Here is the story. I got married last year, and I thought I have known her enough that was why I married her. But to my surprise I started discovering that she is too stiff. She is too hard. When she says she is not doing something, that is it, she won't do it.

The scripture says the fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much, and this will want me to know the best way to pray according to the Bible and Christian belief.

1. We all know we are different type of human being and our approach to things differ alot.
We have the cool and calm beings, and also the stubborn and aggressive ones.

I see how pastor Adeboye preaches the gospel and pray in a cool and calm way and there are signs, wonders and testimony to that effect...

I also know some agressive preachers and prayer warriors like pastor Paul Adefarasin, N. duncan Williams and TD jakes.

Now, here is why i am writing this write up.

1. I sometimes feel i am too cool and calm in my prayers hence the delay or no answer i have in my prayer requests to the most high.

2. I believe in strategic form of prayer and i also do fast and pray when seeking the face of the lord on something... I don't usually think i am too cool or calm in prayers not until i started waiting endlessly for results.
If i am in a religious gathering, it depends on the leader of the prayer points and the prayer point itself that will determine my ginger and how aggressive i can be, but i don't see it going too hot or too cool.

3.what could be the delay of prayer request of somones need I feel satisfied inside of me when i pray in my own way and style. I don't really have privacy at the moment, and i am someone who really doesn't like people hearing my prayer point if it isn't in a religious gathering and general prayer.

I was born into Christianity and i served the lord in a church unit, but I will like to ask maybe there are ways i need to start praying that i don't know or practice for effective answers from the lord.

N. B. I know jehova witnesses don't pray loud or aggressive prayer, and i also know some other religious organization that doesn't do aggressive praying too.

So which one is which and how do one pray effective prayer with fasting without being aggressive

Aggressive, violent, cool or calm to an extent all of these approach depends on the situation on ground or the mood you find yourself. A few examples from the Bible are as follows: Psalms 55:17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. 1 Samuel 1:13 Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken. Above all the best approach is for you to rely on the holy Spirit to lead you. John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Today many people dont believe in prophecies because they see many men of God as fake.
The Truth about prophecies is that if it is of God, no matter how long it will come to pass.

Jesus exhorts His disciples, “Abide in Me, and I in you.” And further in John 15:6 He says, “If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.”
There are several other scriptures that point to the need of "standing in the faith". Now am I claiming to be a sinless Christian, absolutely not. But I recognise my sin and run back to my saviour's arms, because I know if I dont, my heart stands to harden and I get comfortable in my sin and gradually drift away.
