Some times, they use galvanized pipes which simple hand saw can manually cut through. Just remove one pipe and an adult will make his way past the windows. But sha it's your decision to make

I saw a video where 16mm iron rod was inserted into the aluminium casing of an aluminium window that comes with burglary proof. Could that be considered a better solution than having the burglary proof separate?

Guys am back again with another question. the roofing is completed now. Am grateful for the advise received so far from you guys. it helps in shaping my knowledge on building.

So am trying to get the windows for the whole house done. i have seen a lot of aluminum casement windows with in-built burglary. How strong are these or would i need an additional burglary proof?

Or would it be just better to get the windows without the in-built burglary and get a separate iron burglary.

Get quotation for what you have on your project and not what someone else shared on nairaland. 1200 x 1400 window is larger than 1200 x 1200.

I already listed what i received and am only trying to understand why the quotation i receive have a different format.

This is what i received;

This is clearly different from what i have seen here so am only trying to understand the difference in the format. As in 4x4 (chich i received) compared to a 1200x1400 (which i have seen here).

But my own advice is that you should allow the wooden carcass to be done, it will allow the roofers to take accurate measurement of the roof, to get the exactly aluminum materials needed for the eave angle, bottom angles, ridges, wall trimmers (if you don't have a parapet) facial cover, valley gutters, and the roofing sheets.

Price of .55 is currently #2300 - #2500 (depending on the quality of the materials used)

Thanks for the correction. by carcass, i assume you meant the frame for the parapet? If yes, then this is being done as we speak and should be ready early next week. So i guess i will be asking the roof guy what he is basing his estimate on.

The "flat sheet" i assume will be used to cover up the edges of the roof right (for lack of a better word). any idea what this cost?

I received the below estimate to roof my building and would like to get the opinion of the experts in the house.

My questions are;
What's the average price of the 0.42 and 0.55mm roofing sheets?
And is 68mtr length of flat sheet price the same as that of the roofing sheets?
Lastly what do you think about the accessories price of 30k given to me fair or not?

Am still waiting for the carpenter to provide me the estimate for the materials needed for the wooden part so might be updating this later with more questions.
