OBAJESU:they should know he is stubborn from his days of no TV, but what does having a successor have to do with controlling him? Well he is one of the fakes anyway 🚶🏾♂️🚶🏾♂️🚶🏾♂️ |
phosky:the real runway of how a decent child of God should dress and appear even though it's about our inward hearts. At least it's or should be a runway for decent and moderate dressing that shows the difference between a worldly ungodly and immoral world and runway from one that isn't sexually implicit in it's appearance but glorifies God. |
braveboi4life:lol even a child knows the truth but can't blame women, pastors say dress the way you want to be address abi |
I heard a phrase, "God works in mysterious ways" I know I have heard such phrase before but this time I questioned the authenticity of the phrase, because I have read and remember that it is written Amos.3.7 Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. And that's true, God didn't flood the world without telling Noah, God didn't send fire down without telling Abraham and other examples of things others may find "mysterious and strange". God doesn't have to hide to do something, even if the devil knows he cannot stop God's word and will, I don't see a reason for God to hide what he does other than that it is us who are not seeing what God is doing. The basis of Jesus's ministry is doing what he saw God do, and if says we will do greater doesn't that mean our eyes will also be open to see what God is doing? If God is "mysterious to you" please listen to what Jesus said in Matt.13.11 Then he explained to them, "You have been permitted to understand the secrets(the mysteries) of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others have not. The very purpose of the word of God, the purpose why Jesus came, is to reveal to us, the reason we receive the Holy Spirit is to hear God's word, to receive God's revelation. I decided to do an AI/google check if the phrase "God works in mysterious ways" is in the Bible because it contradicts that the Bible teaches that God works in a revealed way for us to see, believe and follow Him. The phrase "God works in mysterious ways" is not a direct quote from the Bible, though the sentiment is reflected in several passages. The closest biblical reference is Isaiah 55:8-9, which states that God's thoughts and ways are higher than human thoughts and ways. The popular phrase is believed to have originated from William Cowper's 1773 hymn, "Light Shining out of Darkness," which contains the line "God moves in a mysterious way".We see that the origin is from a song, a hymn and not from the scripture, it's like that song let the poor say I am rich, I remember reading Joel.3.10 Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weakling say, "I am strong!" (NIV) And asking myself, okay, so where is the let the poor say they are rich? It goes to show how biblical incorrect songs can shape the mindset of some believers. Note it's not bad to say you are rich because of what God our Father has done by sending Jesus to us, in whom we have every spiritual blessing, but without properly understanding and application of the world of God, such phrases are taken wrongly and used wrongly. Can you think of a phrase that's common but not biblical like, "heaven helps those who help themselves"? Isa.55.8-9 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. The context is based on God's mercy, which we humans don't think as mercifully as God does, if any mystery was involved then it was the plan which was revealed at the coming of Jesus whom God sent and accomplished God's purpose of mercy towards us. Note Paul wrote, 1Cor.2.16 How could they? For, "Who can know what the Lord is thinking? Who can give him counsel?" But we can understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ. Please do not be content with not seeing God move or not knowing what God will do. They that know their God.... For this is eternal life, that they come to know you the one true God. Happy Sunday children of God, and have a great week ahead in Jesus name. Amen |
tobstarizhia:how are you not a Nigerian claiming to know about Nigerians? Are you being pretentious now |
blueghost:"God told moses in the bible to teach your children the law bind it on your door post and wrist but unfortunately we are on steep decline." "Most children are on the fast lane and feel they know it all, they won't even blink to disrespect and elder when corrected." Where is your self explanatory answer to whose fault is it? Don't bother replying |
Dtruthspeaker:good so you see that not all those born in that generation are bad because they had good parents as well. 👍🏾 👍🏾 |
Node911:it's okay to see the lies and manipulations of men, the question is what does that bring you to? Does it bring you to the truth or to a different kind of lie. What your forefathers did has a foundation to it, that you also need to learn about and know, can you actually improve on something you also don't understand, if you ask questions to understand you would learn, at least the origin and the goal of something abi |
You really want to become a Levite and collect tithe, then become a full time cleaner in God's house at 25yrs or even 30, and be prepared to serve faithfully till you are 50, help watch over the house of God, keep it clean and tidy. |
Node911:the world innovates from what exists and by us accepting what exists. If you don't accept that there is sand and there are rocks and ask questions based on that acceptance to learn but instead question it, how do you learn how to use it or innovate something like cement or concrete. Look bro our predecessors would not have gotten anywhere if all they did was question everything without learning anything |
WantsandMore:so before the generation that did not know God, there came a generation that felt their knowledge of God wasn't worth passing it on. So before an immoral generation is one that doesn't value or disliked discipline and hated it, so they didn't pass it on and saw the repercussions of their decisions too hate. I love this question, "Are we equipping parents or outsourcing discipleship?" When we outsource to people who care more about money and what they earn than the future of the child what becomes of that child. There used to be federal schools or places where the community raises a child with discipline but sadly such isn't common today. Parents are even looking for places where there children wouldn't be shouted at or rebuked. I have never meet a good child that said, I have never been beaten or rebuked, those who feel they never were and are good can't face discipline or corrections for the things they do wrong some wrong with a self righteous mindset, or justify whatever they do. Parents are not been trained and taught to raised Godly children, many that are learning on the job are not learning from their parents because they have issues with them, a man too proud to ask his father for advise, a woman who won't forgive her parents for how they treated her won't even listen to elderly counsel on raising children. They all assume they know it till they ruin it |
Node911:asking question to learn is different from questioning everything, is that not so |
blueghost:so is it the fault of the children the generation or the one before it, their parents, elders and leaders? When a culture says it's wrong to beat a child, whose fault is it now, is it still the parents fault? Because they agreed to spoil their children. Most of us wouldn't even support discipline to children and yet we complain about their behavior, like we expect children to train themselves some how or magically become good, we believe they are good, expect them to be good but do little to help and make them good. Even church discipline is being side track, it's too harsh, many don't even believe God disciplines it's only God does good and pleases us. Whose fault is it, truly, whose fault is it |
Pastorchrisylva:if anyone sees through the lies of the devil, it's not because they are gen z but because Jesus opened their eyes and on their part because they diligently sought the truth, they sought the real Jesus and he opened their eyes |
folake4u:have you gone for treatment? I hope you have though |
Dtruthspeaker:I am guessing you don't have children that are gen z or you yourself are not part of the gen z, of either is true then what a strange thing for you to assume |
Fox12:it's good to seek answers but they should be turning to the Holy Spirit for answers though If not they won't be different from the generations before them, the devil deceives every generation regardless of modern innovations |
cutecommend:even with the presence of all this you listed from one to five, it wouldn't make new legs grow every Sunday though God will do what He wants to do when He wants to, for the purpose of drawing men to Him and be glorified, for all glory belongs to God |
Lol typical Sunday morning front page, lovely songs though even those that have left the church would remember them and feel nostalgic |
Even the catholics cannot explain scripturally or by the Holy Spirit why the change of God's 10 divine commands that even Jesus taught |
Personally surprised this hasn't been moved to front page. But not surprised that adeboye chooses to focus on superficial reformation than in-depth scriptural uprooting of jezebels and false prophets in rccg. If they like don't braid or do make up, if what's in your heart and life isn't the foundation laid by God, you won't stand nor survive |
annyplenty:you do know that ebubeson wrote this right, "Any gospel song that attracts the club without making men repent and abandon the club, may not be carrying the true power of revival." Is this false to you? Or you didn't see that? |
The sign of revival is repentance Amos.5.6a Come back to the LORD and live!.. Revival is to bring the "dead" back to life and if songs heard no matter the place does that, then that is revival The purpose has to be to turn humans back to the one true God who gives us life Isa.45.22 "Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other. Ezek.18.32 For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent and live! Ezek.33.11 As surely as I live, says the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of wicked people. I only want them to turn from their wicked ways so they can live. Turn! Turn from your wickedness, O people of Israel! Why should you die? If there is no repentance there is no revival |
I know some of you love the laws of Moses especially the part that promises you an open heaven and financial breakthrough. Now based on your observance of the law associated with tithing and the reinterpretation and implication in modern day church. A question that needs to be answered is who are your Levities? Now pastors claim to be the ones to collect your tithes as your priests, but the tithe is supposed to go to the Levities right? There some who are against evangelists collecting tithes because they are not pastors and are not entitled to it. While some are that any man of God even without a church is entitled to it. It's funny and it's also sad because when we look at the Levities to whom the tithe is given; Num.18.21 And, behold, I have given the Levites all the tithes in Israel for an inheritance in return for their service which they serve, the [menial] service of the Tent of Meeting. Are of the tribe of Israel. That aside trying to reapply it to your modern day churches, taking them as an earthly replica of the "temple of God" should we not consider... WHAT WERE THE ROLES OF THE LEVITIES IN THE TABERNACLE/TEMPLE first the Levities who collected the tithes were not priests/pastors they were more like CLEANERS, GATEMEN, MAINTENANCE WORKERS who were responsible for the upkeep of the place like maids or butlers (like carrying and arranging chairs in church, storekeepers etc). Levities were representives of every firstborn male in Israel and were sent to work in God's house on their behalf, they began at 25 and retired at 50, so for 25yrs they "enjoyed" those benefits. Even Moses sons were not counted as priests but as levites. These records are in the bible, now my question to you all who insist on paying your tithes, is this DO YOU PAY THEM TO THE CLEANERS, GATEMEN AND THE LIKE IN YOUR CHURCH? I know some of you have been asked if you give them to the poor and the like as written in the scriptures and they either dont answer or honestly say no. So would you please be honest if not to us, to yourselves because even if you are not, no one can lie to God... In your reapplication of the law of Moses do you give your 10% to that church worker and assistant? |
FreeIgboho:interesting you seem to know about brain, so tell me, where does the data in the brain of a new born baby come from? |
jesusjnr2020:I see you ignored this question, "if eternal life can be taken how it is then eternal?" Nevertheless Did God say that Adam will die spiritually, is it appointed to every man to die spiritually, did Jesus die spiritually for the wages of our sins? I am asking you these questions so that you focus on what God revealed and not what some men taught as their doctrines but you can continue to ignore them if that's what makes you comfortable. But know this, God told man you will return to the dust of the earth, and it was because of God's mercy they did not die that day. God never created Adam or the woman with eternal life, their life had a condition by which they could lose it. Eternal life is eternal, it's immorality. If indeed they died spiritually which according to you all means no relationship with God then how did Abel please God, how did the sons of Seth call upon the name of YHVH. Yes Jesus said the devil has come to steal, kill and destroy but what you have added as what he destroys isn't from what Jesus said but from your own understanding. The devil cannot steal from Jesus, he can steal those lost or on the wayside, he cannot take away the life God gives nor destroy what is built upon Christ the solid rock. I don't know what you have been taught, but listen to what Jesus said, in John.17.3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. Do you have an explanation to how you believe that the devil destroys this, this eternal life, how he takes it away? Because what you believe eternal life is may be different from what I have read |
FreeIgboho:I don't know why you feel you are right about how the brain works but like I told you earlier there is no freedom outside of the son of God, Jesus of Nazareth. So in a sense I agree that "freewill" is an illusion especially when people imagine they can do just about anything either without repercussions or consequences. But when we speak about making choices, we are limited to the amount of choices available and our perception(understanding) of those choices. No one forces you, but like you mentioned past experiences, people's words etc etc and the like help shape what a person eventually decides but it's still their decision just has how you decided to reply me, I may also choose not to reply maybe I am busy and just glanced at my nairaland account or I could also choose to respond. Everything doesn't really always boil down to the brain, people makes choices based on gut feeling, intuition and even make "unreasonable" decisions |
FreeIgboho:you want to explain for me what I wrote that you don't understand? You still don't even understand the post you just read and quoted |
jesusjnr2020:if eternal life can be taken how it is then eternal? Your premise is that man had eternal life which was taken by the devil. |
tctrills:it's obvious someone is being called a devil right |
tctrills:well Cain was the first murderer and lied about knowing where his brother was, there was sin in him and right he was going to rule or Lord over sin or sin over him. He was cast out from God's presence 🤔 |
