I travelled recently from Warri to Kano and here are my observation about the HighWays:- Southern Part From Warri passing through Benin by pass, Ekpoma, Auchi, Okpella and Okene straight to Lokoja POTHOLES: About 60% of the Road is filled with potholes, very dangerous I must say. DOUBLE LANE: Less than 35% of the Road is double laned, Not good Either. ------------------------------ Northern Part From Lokoja passing through Abuja, Niger, Kaduna and Zaria straight to Kano. POTHOLES: Less than 20% of the Road is filled with Potholes, at least this is good. DOUBLE LANE: Up to 90% of the Road is double laned, a laudable feat.
Thats my analysis, what's your opinion guys. SOURCE: My Journey to the North.
because we don't plant juju on roads and break roads and be pretending to repair it.
we also don't set road blocks to rob people. that's why our road is far better than the South.
we also don't do diabolical means to stop road construction.
sunkymike: Just a simple Google search would have educated you enough. There are 2 major ways of getting bitumen 1. Refined Bitumen which is gotten from the fractional distillation of crude oil. 2. Crude Bitumen which is naturally occurring, they can be found at bottom of lakes, ground where organisms have decayed and have been subjected to heat and pressure for a long period of time. And for the record, Ondo state has the 2nd largest deposit of naturally occurring Bitumen in the world.

bakry86: There r two types of bitumen. one is a remnant obtained from exploration of crude oil, the other is natural deposit. It's found in Ogun, Ondo n Edo.... d 3 major components r sand, water n oil. It is not economical like crude oil because it contains very low quantity of oil....

The Ondo State government yesterday gave reasons for the long delay in the take off of bitumen exploration in the state.
It attributed the delay to the absence of a licence, which took the state government more than five years to secure.
The state Commissioner for Information, Mr Kayode Akinmade mentioned this in Akure on Friday while fielding questions from newsmen inquiring from him why the government had to wait till now to begin work on the exploration of bitumen in the state as its tenure is almost ended.
Reacting, Akinmade said government started work on the exploration licence process early enough, stating however that the imbalance in the country’s system of government that gives the Federal government total right on the resources of a state, when it should be the other way round, made the exploration impossible before now.
Akinmade said that the people trying to make an issue out of it are obviously jittery about the development.[/b]
Mentioning that the project will shore up the revenue profile of the state, Akinmade said it will also lead to the establishment of many companies, as it is also projected to impact on the overall development of the state and generate massive employment which will be a consolidation of sort on the jobs being provided for the youth in the state through Agriculture, a sector government has concentrated upon in recent time as its own reaction to the apparent need for economy diversification.
The commissioner said the state government secured the licence to exploit the commodity through Beecon Nigeria limited, a concern where the government has near complete ownership,
He concluded that working in agreement with an American company, Liquefied Resources, immediate exploration of bitumen is expected to begin in the Central and Southern Senatorial Districts area of the state at no cost to the government.

Even if his wife has more money than he has, if they sit and discuss amicably things will go well. The man carves an image of someone who is interested in involving himself with irrelevant things. A tweet about a tiwa's fan that was ranting about her new video was such a matter of concern to him that he had to reply the guy with a trashy response. A responsible man shouldn't be seen doing things like this. Marriage isn't by force, I don't pray to marry a woman who is intolerable though, but a man as the head of the house should know how to apply wisdom.
