You cannot continue to fight and attack Southeast people with Nigeria's common security aparatus and stopping them from seceding peacefully and still be bleeding from your mouth and blabbing that Igbos should leave your region. Expel them from Nigeria and enjoy your one Nigeria with the North and Southsouth and other regions you cherish and allow Southeast to go so you will only be reading about their evil on foreign news just as you read about Afghanistan.



But if you guys can't do that, then you have no right to tell any Igbo person to leave your region, unless you want anarchy.

Stop speaking like a kid. Your lawmakers in the national assembly can move for a constitutional amendment to insert a secession clause for you guys to exit Nigeria. It is those who want to secede that will make that move and not the other way round. Entitlement mentality is the bane of the SE. You guys always think others owe you but no one I repeat no one owe you guys.

To make matters worse, the SE had the lowest bargaining power in the country, whatever resources be it natural or human, is more in abundance in other regions so no one really take you guys serious, that's why no Nigerian govt can be cowered in making any concession to you guys. It's a reality you guys keep failing to come to even after so many years after the civil war. So if you want to exit Nigeria it's up to you guys cos it's of no consequence to others as you need other regions more since they have more resources and opportunities than what currently exits in the SE.

Please am confused on decision about my family application, my wife sister resides in the UK and she's advising that my wife(student) apply for visa first and once her visa is out then myself and our Kids can then apply reason been that they may want to see home ties,POF in her account has more than enough fund to cover 4 of us to apply together ,we intend applying together wifey to do priority while myself and kids do standard but not am just confused..

If she apply alone now can myself and kids use same statement of account to apply for our own once her visa is out or fund must be move to my own account and count 28 days to apply (this is what someone is telling me).

You're playing with fire, looks like you have so much money to waste on visa fees and others. If you know what's good for you, since there is enough POF for the entire family, apply together at once. Most folks that have been residing in the UK for a long time including that your sister giving you bad advice are not up to date with current visa rules and home office regulations which keep changing.

Why don't you apply same time and save yourself some stress. You can both have visas and travel separately at least 3 months apart, is that not ok? Most times when families apply they even have different appointment biometrics dates. I don't get this issue of applying separately. If you're not sure of the certainty of UK, why leave the country in a hurry.

1: I thought if they are applying with you same time is when you will show PoF that will cover everyone.
2: I also thought that if they are not applying at the same time with, you can show PoF for yourself only and when they want to apply, is when PoF for them will suffice.

Once you indicate that your dependants are coming with you whether now or later you must show proof of funds to cover for everyone. If you go ahead and apply with your POF alone because they are not coming immediately, you will be given visa o but when your dependants will apply later is when jungle will mature. Your dependant will be asked to print your statement from the time you apply to the time your dependant applied. This is the case and question someone just asked if you go some pages back. Once they discovered that your funds as the main applicant have depreciated, the dependant will be denied and the main applicant visa cancelled. It has happened to people on this forum so be warned. Let no agent deceive you. Perhaps some folks escaped this before but the home office guys are not smiling these days as they suspect folks are moving funds from one account to another all in the name of POF.

most folks here have advised using just one account to avoid complicating matters, the truth is once the main applicant has indicated that the family is traveling with him or her whether immediately or not, there must be POF to cover the entire family and it's advisable that the funds be there till all visas for the family is out in case of random checking of the accounts which is what happened in that case. There is no need to gamble here, it's either the funds are available or not. Opening and Closing statement figures must be the required funds

Touched the money for what is the question? The 5m and others he transferred was for what purpose? That's the question he needs to answer.

The random checks these guys do can fall on anyone. One must really tighten all ends not to be a victim of circumstance. Even when you're already in the UK, the home office can still call you to question. For example some fellows who are yet to balance up their sch fees after deposit are being reported to the home office. Not a joke at all.

Please I need advise for a friend
Main Applicant got his visa in August and has since traveled to the UK. Then he submitted a bank statement from 2nd July to 29th July. The fund used is for him.

Now the dependent applied for visa using her own bank statement from 21 sept to 20 October 2021.

She got a non straight forward email to provide the main applicant statement from 29th July to 21 September 2021. What should she do? Cos the main applicant transferred 5m to his daughters account and used other funds to buy PTA and pound then others to shop for laptop ,foodstuffs and buy ticket. There was nothing left in the account before he left

Please note the the dependent has an excess of 4m in her POF

Gurus in the house please advise

This is very dicey, the main applicant shouldn't have transferred any money especially the 5M out of that account. The home office may think the 5m transferred is what the dependant is using as POF. Not looking good at all in my opinion though I stand to be corrected. Let's just hope for the best.

Lesson to others: please apply together with POF for your entire family at once even if you are going separately.

On the contrary, it's good to have it just in case, Some recruitment agencies do ask for it. My wife in applying through an agency was asked for it. She had to scan it and send it to them. I did not need it either as the organisation I applied to do their own checks. My advice is for folks to have it. Yes it expires in three months but before it expires it can be very relevant. My two cents

The SE has very low bargaining power, there is no oil or any precious mineral in the SE for any FG to negotiate or listen

You guys are just petty. Firstly we have a bad reading culture in Nigeria and many folks don't have enough patience to read through and understand clearly. Secondly we have lots of minors here, folks less than 18 yrs for undergraduate study and even those older like in early twenties who still don't know their left from right and it's easy to detect them here from the kind of questions being asked.

Let's always be more reasonable in our responses, the visa application questions are a bit technical and some times it's difficult for some to answer yes or no. Using our personal experience as a standard for everyone is very selfish and unreasonable. Lots of people even asked questions here and never get answers.
