Exactly. That was the beginning of the end of Spain's golden era that culminated in their Germany 2014 embarrassment.
Not many are aware that the Eagles exposed the weakness of the tiki taka game of the Spaniards from that day, a nigerian sports analyst on radio predicted just before the game that the tiki taka from spain will not dominate the eagles, look like he was speaking Greek until the game started.

I dont think midfield was our problem in that game. It was attack.

Ideye, Akpala, Gambo etc were sub-par
injuries to moses and emenike really depleted that team, spain for chop at least 2 goals with that midfield performance

Makes sense...

I think "fast and reckless" cost us the game against Spain in 2013 Confeds. The scoreline didn't do justice to our performance in that game.
an onazi in the game against spain would have been a different story in the 2013 confed as France had to injure onazi before breaking through in the 2014 world cup

There are some people that dont shift grounds becuase of their strong conviction on matters based on verifiable facts, I dont play to the gallery. Moses has never been a fantastic player even when he got loaned over and over again to different clubs ,all to no avail. I have hammered on this guy for sometime now and everything I have pointed out in him can be reckoned. Moses has finished developing , he is not an 18 years old. At Chelsea he plays with caution but whenever he plays for Nigeria he throws caution to the wind and do what ever that comes to his mind to the detriment of the team and that to me is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Dont make this look like Moses was one of the best players in EPL last season because he is not up there. Dude is just a notch up ahead Moses Simon because of goals. He has been dribbling in the EPL for years but he has not gotten anywhere with it. Some people even said he is our best player, now that set off the rage in me.
well you can have your opinions on moses, but the dude has paid his dues both for country and club. He's won trophies that he was very instrumental to. Not every great player out there has won individual awards but their quality and class are never in doubt. Sometimes we over criticized our players. Same thing we did with mikel until recently when majority started having a rethink.

As long as player produces results for the team, he is class and quality and Moses is in this category

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M17SGuhMglc
mikel ought to have scored in the first half instead of trying to displace a spanish player when he got a return pass, that would have changed the dynamics of that game. One of the best performances of mikel for the eagles

Iamzik:
Bros stop directing people to criticize government.
Even In the says of the early church there was human government and it fell short of expectations. God did not create human beings to be ruled by fellow humans and there will never be a perfect human government.

That the church is able to manage better schools and football club should tell you that the church is capable of doing far greater things given it's potential and resources.

All you listed above is a drop of water in the mighty ocean. The apostles didn't need the press to cover and publicize their giving ministry. It was real and the people spread it by word of mouth (most powerful channel) while preaching the gospel.

Bros the church is sitting on billions and I have had access to information to confirm this point.
If we believe that this world is vanity and we are mindful of eternity then why have we allowed materialism to engulf the church this much?

Do you think a bokoharam or ISIS member is concerned about building cathedrals and flying jets? All he wants Is to spread his ideology. How much more we who should be heavenly minded?

God did not create poverty. Human beings do when they refuse to share and redistribute wealth. And the church is in the best position to do that as exemplified by the early church

Practical love within the local church is the fastest way to win those souls not building mighty cathedrals.
The church organizations encourage members to give endlessly and then keep a large chunk of what is given. Why cant the church practice what she preaches? OR is there no more blessing in giving?

And before you claim people are attacking the church you need to realize that the church of Christ universal is a superset of your local church organizations/denominations led by your GO. The church is bigger than you think.

Almost all our GOs attended mission schools tuition free and then suddenly realize now that education is expensive. Who payed for their's? Was it not missionary bodies funded by Christians in Europe? Why can't these local churches do thesame? They didn't have to fast to get admission yet prescribe fasting for youngsters seeking admission today.

Bros the gospel is practical love that leads to Salvation. The earlier church organizations change strategy the better
If the Early church you referred to were doing all the things you feel in your own opinion the church today should be doing then we won't have the problems we have in today's society but was the church formed to solve all the problems of the world? You guys lack basic understanding of the purpose of the church and who told you the church is sitting on billions? Whatever project you see any church doing are sacrificial donations from folks like you and me and mark my words these mega churches most of the time are broke to undertake these projects. The big cars and the jets are what is making you assume that the church is sitting on billions and how many of them even have the jets. It takes donations from people to make churches even sort out their operational bills.

The purpose of the church is not to redistribute wealth as the church has no wealth to distribute in the first place. What you are calling wealth are just donations from people, reason the universities and schools churches have can never be free as they have no money to make them free. Did you read in your bible about the early church building roads and schools? What the church can do is help in the welfare of people which is just a stop gap temporarily to meet needs and not to provide livelihood for people. The church primarily duty is to teach people to deepen their relationship with God and live godly lives, all other duties are just extra within their capacity if they can do so.

They dont solve problems. God does. Very soon, we shall all know the truth and the truth shall set us free. Let them keep enriching their pockets. There is time for everything
They do solve problems with the gifts and callings God bestowed upon them hence the reason they will continue to be rich. They work harder than the average business man out there. If you think the job of a Pastor is beans, you just try it out and see, many have done so and got their fingers burnt.

I just dey look all these forumites that want to die untop the guy head, over hyping the guy as if we dont know what he has to offer. Some even argued he deserve to win the APOTY...I don suffer, just because he is a danm Nigerian. Moses is not world class just a little above average!

Moses is a guy who believe he can dribble everybody on the pitch and score a breathtaking goal every single time, Conte monitored him and realize his end product is not that impressive and converted him to wing back and that experiment saved Moses's career. Now, they have a Zappaccosta, a terrific right back who can equally attack with great fluidity and his performances are beginning to expose Moses.

This same Moses becomes a hero of some sort when he plays for Nigeria. No, people make him a hero because we have nothing better but the most shocking and disturbing post I read here last year was that Moses deserve to win the APOTY....Get outa here! When Sala, Abua and Mane are there and posting terrific performances. If Moses wins the APOTY nobody will take us serious anymore. Moses is not what people try to sell here. I watch Moses when he plays for Nigeria, very careless and complacent but with few moments of brilliance we forget all his rubbish because Nigerians have poor memory just like they will vote buhari again then complain he is useless.

I am not saying Moses should sit on bench but place him where he belongs...See as they scatter the guy against Arsenal.
I hope you will still be able to stand on this point when things get better with moses, we are always too quick to judge our players, even the salas, abua and mane you mentioned have had their off days. As good as mane and abua is, senegal and Gabon are yet to win the afcon, I could as well say they are not brilliant enough if I come from that angle or can you give a good excuse on why senegal and Gabon are yet to win the afcon with such kind of players? Even with a Sala, Egypt could not beat cameroon to win afcon.

We have started getting emotional again just because a Nigerian player is not doing well presently, na wa o!

My financial position changed the moment I started giving tithes and first fruits. U can't convince a man to move away from his testimony root.. .

Be careful with Freeze, because he lacks understanding about the spiritual things he is trying to handle.
Truth is those who have been listening to freeze are folks who were never believed in tithe from day 1 and has never paid at all or those who got tired of paying due to economic pressure. They have made up their minds before freeze started his campaign, they only needed freeze or anyone to rubber stamped their views, that's all. Freeze is no Bible teacher

And when the church population exceed 100,000 then what? Abandon the stadium and start a bigger building?

You guys love quoting that "poor will always be in the land " ish

Didn't you read about the early church? What was the rational behind people selling their stuff and bringing the money to meet the need of others?

Why were 7 Deacons appointed? Was it not to see to members welfare? So why have our church leaders downplayed that all important aspect? The bible said they were in one accord. There was love. Inequality was greatly reduced. They became the envy of the world and the church grew. How many cathedrals did Peter and Paul build? They practically ran house fellowships and shared their things in common.

I understand the urge to possess the earth but brother let's face the truth. The time of building mighty cathedrals is gone. Now is time to build and invest in people .

Shalom
Are you aware of what churches are doing for the welfare of the society? Do you know what a church like House on the Rock has been doing for public schools in Lagos state over the years? Do you know what they have been doing for prisoners in Lagos prisons?

You guys come online to express your damn ignorance, don't blame you people. It's the churches I blame for not publicizing all the welfare programs they do out there for you guys to shut your mouths. Common politicians will throw indomie on the streets for poeple and get all the publicity but when churches do their welfare programs, even the journalists deny them fair coverage. Nonsense.

The most well run professional football club In Nigeria that don't owe players salaries is owned by the church-MFM. No one commends them for that, it's all abuses and insults where rich states like Rivers state don't pay at all. smh

Ofcourse there will always be the poor. Even in Jesus's days, there were poor folks(The widow with the best offering)... But, agree with me, most of the churches are profit oriented!!!! They do things, not for the masses, but to get profits!!! What happens to the expensive universities? when most of these pastors went to free missionary schools?? Dont just talk about standard or cost of maintenance here because missionary schools were the best and were maintained....We as Christians should learn to ask questions and not just follow churches the way we follow football clubs. Jesus never had a personal Donkey, He rode on a donkey for a purpose,Call it chattered but he never owned one!! Why will a pastor own 1,2,3,4 jets?? Warren Buffet who is even more busy than these pastors, never ever own a Private Jet!!!...Let me rest here!!!
Pastors will continue to be rich and there is nothing you can do about it. Why? Because they solve problems and only problem solvers become rich in today's world

If I ask you.."Why are Nigerian Pastors rich"...You will tell me that as a christian, you are entitled to the good things of life but...

Read this: Matt 19 vs 23...Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is difficult for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

During the last administration, we all blamed GEJ for the never ending scarcity and when he tried to resolved the issue by increasing the fuel price aka removal of subsidy we even blamed him more and even worse we protested. We even threaten to remove him and as a Leader he was, HE LISTEN TO HIS SUBJECTS and found a solution.

WHAT WE HAVE NOW

We have a president with an over bloated ego, made himself a petroleum minister and even worse an illiterate with not tertiary training in petroleum economics or even engineering and does not listen to anyone.

Indeed when a God want to punish an evil nation He gives them wicked and senseless rulers.

To those still supporting this government, I would say they are the true enemies of Nigeria !!!! I dare say we are the ones undoing ourselves. Imagine an illiterate on the street convincing an educated person that an illiterate 78 years old man is better than an educated 54 yrs old PhD holder.

Just wow !!!!!! Just look at the state of the Nation. What a country !!!!!
and what did the 54 yr old phd holder offer us in the first place?

The Gtb and Innosson fight is a messy one that would impact investor security and confidence in the country.

Nigerians are so stupid they quickly turned this into a tribal war, making the igbos seem like cry babies and the government seem like witch hunters. This has nothing to do with government or tribalism, but is an unfortunate part of business.

However, the government will do well to look into this without siding any wrong party. Their job is to enforce the law and the EFCC should avoid being used as a tool in a business tussle. The government should arrest this issue quickly to assure potential investors that their investment will be safe and secure, without the possibility of banks reneging on agreements, flouting court orders and using the EFCC as a weapon. The world is watching!

lalasticlala pls come and enlighten the gullible folks out there...
@the bolded, you were doing good until you got here, the same Nigerians you want and desire their understanding of all the points you are have been listing are the ones you are calling stupid. At times you just make your points and allow people to make their judgement but throwing jabs at them will even begin to make one think whether you are truly sincere.

And the same govt you also want their intervention, you have already labelled witch-hunters. So who exactly do you want to intervene? UN or World bank. Let's learn to always articulate our pints without emotions. Things do bad in business just as you have rightly said. Finally let's all hope that the parties to this feud will find a way out. I don't think a huge investment like Innoson can go down the drain like that.
