TonyeBarcanista: Only in Nigeria we encourage and celebrate criminals that sent millions to poverty and tens of thousands to their early grave. My guy, you are great supporter of the pdp but truly this is bad image for the party, how is this an effective opposition? |
Politics › Re: Olisa Metuh Having Dinner With His Family At Home After His Release by Goke7: 8:54am On Jan 29, 2016 |
This is very insensitive but of course what do one expect from a thieving party called the pdp. I will be expecting Pius Adesanmi to write an article about this very soon, I hope the wailers won't cry too much by then. |
Phones › Re: Telecoms Operators Threaten To Shut Down Operations In Six States by Goke7: 8:48am On Jan 29, 2016 |
In as much as I condemn extortionate tendencies of these state Governments, I think these telecom operators or companies generally should stop all these threats of shutting down, its becoming bullshit, if you feel your business is no longer profitable, pls pack your load and go so that others can quickly come in and take over your market. Nigeria is too big for any operator to take it for granted.
We have a very big market that many are willing to come in to explore, there are neighboring countries where these operators can relocate to instead of threatening to shut down which is just to make themselves feel important. They can also approach these states Govt for negotiation instead of shouting in the media all the time, the states themselves too should simmer but truth is everyone have a role to play as stakeholders. |

Jonathan tactically avoided answering the questions directly cos he knows the mess he left behind.
Has anyone noticed he avoids speaking about the present govt directly? He knows PMB doesn't give a damn about him. Only the wailers think he is a hero indeed. I dare Jonathan to speak up about the dasukigate. |

OYIBN: Most of the negative comments are from those of the same geo-political zone as Onovo. He turned out to be a critic that had no solution to the policies he was criticizing. He was very shallow in his contributions and the sunrise presenters stood up to him and did not allow him use their First Class station to churn out propaganda. He was cornered by the presenters like a frightened rat and he turned rude and aggressive like his brother Metuh. Exactly only the wailers will disagree |
Politics › Re: Nigerians React To Martin Onovo's Interview On Channels Today - Video by Goke7: 5:14pm On Jan 27, 2016 |
manny4life: Speaking on 1.9 million voters, did you hear the question? Or are you quick to jump into conclusion. Watch from 6:07, the lady chanted "Vote for Change" and that's why he said, "Yes we voted, but did we really vote"? My interpretation: how can you chant "Vote for Change", yet Kano doesn't seem to have the same mantra of change, so where's the disconnect.
I did not hear about Buhari's certificate come up (I only watched Part 2 and 3 on YouTube), perhaps you can post the clip and I will watch it. Again, I did not watch the part whether anyone won or lost, the part I watched was Part 2 and three. This could have been Part 1, but then again I don't know.
Lmao... You mean the same "tactical" move in which GEJ wanted to remove subsidy is the same tactic employed by Buhari? Haha, the govt lacks clear "ECONOMIC" direction - Mr. Onov. Since I started following Nigerian Politics, I have never heard of a missing or retracted budget. I have never heard a budget presented 4 months after the deadline... Let's be real here, Buhari's critics are criticising him based on what they've seen.
I agree the election is over, but it doesn't seem like it's over for PMB and his team, it's full of accusation, it started from Saraki to GEJ to Dasuki to Metuh and the list is endless, even Jesus Christ was accused. Several months later after being sworn in, we don't have a "CLEAR ECONOMIC direction on where we are let alone where we're going. Tell me, how are we supposed to dig ourselves out of this mess? The sooner this administration seats up and get to work, the better. I advise you watch the entire interview since you missed out on some points. Thanks and if you think the present govt has no direction, sorry I can help your case cos you sound bitter (I wonder what metu and dasuki has to do with this now) as you entitled to your views. God bless |
Politics › Re: Nigerians React To Martin Onovo's Interview On Channels Today - Video by Goke7: 4:40pm On Jan 27, 2016 |
manny4life: What he said is it on point or not?
Some highlights of his interview
According to the Economic Policy Framework, the president should submit the budget by August, did that happen as scheduled? NO
If you're preaching economic discipline, does it make sense to incur N500 billion under the social plan to pay N5000 to unemployed graduates? NO
Understanding what needs to be achieved (Power) to increase economic growth, yet you have two ministers from the ministry alleging that they have no plan, does that boost confidence or not? NO
Speaking on the budget, was the benchmark of crude oil conservative enough $38 considering drop in oil prices ? NO
Still on the budget, why are there inconsistencies, three ministries merged (causing a reduction), yet you're borrowing 40% to finance budget yet 30% of that amount is for Capital, and the other 10%? Recurrent...is that responsible? NO
I would have been more detailed, but I don't believe this man is bitter as you make of him, PMB by his action is proving to be incapable of handling the economic. The economy isn't about witch hunting corrupt individuals, that wouldn't have any impact on us. Onovo mentioned about leadership, in fact, I'd recommend that you listen to the interview without bias. yes the budget is not perfect and that's why its being debated at the senate but what does it have to do with the 1.9million votes in kano? what does the budget have to do with buhari's certificate, what does it have to do with whether someone won an election or not which was what onovo was hammering about, is it not a clear case of bitterness and painful loss in a miscalculated adventure? The earlier you guys realise that most of PMB's critics are politically motivated to incite Nigerians against the present FG, the better for us. Few months ago we had terrible cases of fuel scarcity but its gone with the tactical removal of subsidy as if there was nothing at all, yet critics still say this FG lacks direction, I think its unfair, elections are over please |

Acidosis: Hello
Onovo is not PDP. yea onovo is not pdp, before the elections, onovo was a heavy critic of the Jonathan Administration, he was one of those who lambasted Gej on the subsidy, you will think Jonathan snatch his girlfriend at gun point. Onovo was a thorn in the flesh of the pdp before the elections but after march 28, onovo has been sympathetic to the pdp, look at him making references to tanko yakassai and ozekhome in this interview. If he was blasting both PMB and the PDP, lot of folks would taken him serious but these days onovo has been whining about the loss of an election he never stood a micro chance in the first place and even commending a pdp that he always demolishing with his words a few months ago. Lots of folks now see him as a joke after all, a man we thought was serious |
Politics › Re: Nigerians React To Martin Onovo's Interview On Channels Today - Video by Goke7: 3:59pm On Jan 27, 2016 |
Koolking: This Onovo guy is deeply bittered by PDP lost. His comments should be ignored, he can not be taken seriously unless he put prejudice apart. I noticed, he whined on bloated votes from the north and refused to acknowledged the fraudulent allocation of votes in Akwa Ibom and Rivers States in the last election. I also noticed, instead of focusing on the Federal govt budget, he dug into states budget, which the federal has no control over - all in a bid to criticize unwisely.
Nigerians can not rely on PDP as opposition. You can never get any constructive opposition from PDP. They hate, bellicosely bitter, wail, whine. APC needs to prove all their doomsday predictions and opposition wrong. the level of hate for this present Govt just shows they must be doing some things right |

yes, our Politicians might have looted our commonwealth but I think its high time our athletes begin to see the pride of representing their fatherland at major competitions, some of them even forget the goodwill that comes with such feat. I understand the feelings of the athletes but they should look at the bigger picture of becoming mega stars in their game.
Some of them now have the platform to go on to sign for mega basketball clubs that will pay them the mega cash that they dream of, that should be their focus now. |

someone should please remind oliseh how siasia went with the u-23 boys to senegal with only one set of jerseys which they wash regularly after every match, siasia's mother was kidnapped and even the players were not paid their bonus too, siasia on one occasion gave each player 100$ each to go enjoy themselves after a match just to motivate the players so as not to get discouraged, yet they not only qualified for the Olympics, they also came back as champions of the tournament.
Oliseh is not making any sense with his baggage of boyish excuses. |

TheGoodJoe: You miss one big fact. Coach Keshi was without a contract in his last days. The NFF refused to renew his contract after he took us to the second round of the World Cup.
There was no way the results would be the same. Keshi was sabotaged by the nff in collaboration with the brown envelope sports journalists who kept telling us how bad keshi was. Keshi deserved a four year contract after the world cup. I just hope the oliseh experiment won't cost us another afcon ticket. The matches against Egypt in march is key cos that is all is left for oliseh to prove his credentials. He can't afford to fail. Nigerians may pardon him now but by march, na oliseh go beg for amnesty. |

I get u, some of you folks thought oliseh was a better option but alas he don fall una hand so why drag keshi into it? Salisu yusuf his assistant is by far better than him at least he was Kano pillars and Enyimba coach where he won the league on two occasions Leave keshi out pls, he has won bronze in this tournament. |

TheGoodJoe: Why can't the NFF pay them and get that grudge/excuse out of the way.
At leas Oliseh can see what Keshi went through when his players did not receive bonuses for years. You took the words out of my mouth, keshi's team played without bonuses and keshi made the players play for him until NFF came in between keshi and the players. Oliseh then will sit in the studio and blast the team, like I said earlier am waiting for our home and away matches in march against Egypt. Oliseh need to do more than talking. NFF for sure will continue to be who they are but we need results for the good of our football and the players who are bread winners for their families |
