omolami: I do not expect any good reaction from Adamu Ciroma. I even wonder why Buhari has nor nominated him because that is norm; recycling The fact remains that Amaechi is not the only qualified person in Rivers state. Amaechi may not be confirmed due to corruption allegation. It is a fallacy to say the state can do without ministers, there are better people In a proper democracy, the governor suppose to have a hand in the nomination of his states minister. Buhari is only being autocratic, thinking he knows all the solution to the problems of Nigeria. Check out the allegations against Buhari after IBB coup that ousted him. Today he remains thee same, no change I don't know why the governor's forum are weak and swallow buhari autocratism line and stinker. May be that is why a pupet is made their chairman So who are the better qualified people from rivers state Mama peace or who. So it is the PDP in rivers state that will select who buhari will appoint? I laugh in Spanish |

ndcide: Our issues with Amaechi is based on corruption.
Not what the APC want the world to believe. No bruv, your issue is that you guys want to mock and laugh amaechi before the whole world if he does not become a minister like you mocked him when he was not picked as VP or given the SGF role. Its not based on any corruption at all |

CharlesPhc: I don't think Adamu Chiroma that I know would condescend so low in making such undignified statement against the good people of Rivers State but if he did, then I wish to inquire from him if Amaechi is the only indigene of Rivers State that is capable of being a Minister of the FRN under PMB. what he is trying to say is that it is the President who picks his minister just like wike picks his commissioners simple. Rivers cannot decide for the President, is that too difficult to understand? |

I just want my igbo peeps to know this as i always tell my igbo friends too, a yoruba man may be lazy or whatever you feel as your opinion but never threaten a yoruba man in his territory or try to compete with the ownership of his domain, why? he will fight with you with everything he's got. A yoruba man will never be a coward when it comes to the ownership of his domain.
I have this landlord who is very gentle and tries to always run from trouble, he lives in the UK and hardly comes home , he is so liberal but anything that has to do with his property is a no go area for any human being, he is ready to take the next available flight from the uk back to nigeria to defend any trespass on his domain at any given time and the fury you will see in his face will make you wonder whether is the same cool and gentle man you know earlier, that is a yoruba man for you.
The igbos have been daring the sw leaders for some time now, no thanks especially to GEJ's crazy politicking, very soon sw governors will soon be rolling out policies to counter these threats, no thanks to the mis behaviour of our se brothers. ambode's commissioners list with no igbo person despite their population in lagos is a signal, some sw governors are beginning to make it mandatory to present tax clearance or state ids or residential ids before you can now enjoy free services from public hospitals and schools, more of this will follow. At times we Nigerians misuse opportunities and privilieges |

guys are just taking alibaba's humility for granted, I have interacted with alibaba on three occasions and i can tell you, he is a rare gem, the fact that he allows other comedians grow on his platform does not mean he should be taken as a fool, none of these comedians can boast of the network that alibaba has. Look at his radio program on nigerian info, it has become a platform for others to grow in their career, most times he is not even in the studio to present by himself but allows others to do it, I know a regular caller on his program who has also join them in presenting the program, that is alibaba for you, allowing others to grow which is so rare to find in most nigerians now.
Am so disappointed in helen paul if this is true, you don't castigate those who paved the way for you but of course this is Nigeria where we don't really respect ourselves |

Or do you want to witness British parliamentary style where even if the prime is speaking, back benchers will stand up and shout him down? It has to do with the quality of questions the senators are asking, only few senators are asking very relevant questions, others are just opening the hurts of yesteryears |

So a Governor in the Federal republic of Nigeria believes that a man who jumped bail in the Uk was harassed to this untimely death.
Nigeria is on a long thing thing o, if this can be coming from a Governor, so if God forbid PMB goes now, will APC be right to say that Fayose, Metuh and Aribisala harassed him to his death? especially with all what Fayose was doing before the elections or if God forbids Amaechi goes, will Amaechi supporters be right to say that Wike harassed him to kick the bucket?

If Nigeria was sensible, the police would have radioed the Navy to ask their patrol boats to look for any flying boats with young man and stop and search, even a helicopter can give aerial tracking... buhhhhh this is. Nigeria. we are. talking about...the easy stuff we cannot get right yet we are shouting and making noise about being some. silly giant of Africa blah blah e tire me o, there are naval guys in NIMASA, kirikiri phase 2 very close to mile 2 who can help out in this search you are talking aboout but the problem remains that our security agencies do not collaborate that much, the naval guys will even have to wait to get a command from their bosses in abuja before they can even attempt anything, so sad. |

safarigirl: As far as the defence goes, Musa Mohammed and Wilfred Ndidi can take the RB and CD positions respectively. The attack, we'll need Victor Moses back to partner Simon Moses with Ighalo taking Emenike's position. Will be nice to have Iheanacho between Mikel and Onazi as an AM in a 4-3-3 formation. He should offer a striking option outside the forward 3 I doubt victor moses will ever be invited to the national team again especially with the way the other moses [simon moses] is playing, Oliseh does not forgive folks easily, he won't take victor moses snub lightly just like the way he handled enyeama's snub of the tanzanian game where oliseh felt ikeme is now a better option. Let's just leave Oliseh with his choices and judge him later. Am not even sure Olishe is convinced with Ighalo. |

Its unfortunate that they where balkanized into many states and have been effectively rendered powerless. I really pity them. Its easier for the camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for them to be granted the request contained in this thread. Its a matter of time before they would be marked out for extermination. You can save this comment of mine for reference purpose in the future. And to think that IBB is of that ethnicity makes it very sad mhen. The man who finally made FCT as Nigeria's capital. Politics › Re: Senate Committee Suspends Petition Against Amaechi by Goke7: 5:05pm On Oct 12, 2015 |
razid: I actually wanted to refrain from commenting on this ministerial list brouhaha. Sometimes we forget history so soon. Just like Saraki, Amaechi belongs to the caucus of nPDP in APC. Not only that, have we also forgotten that Saraki handed over the NGF chairmanship to Amaechi. Sometimes before Saraki withdrew from running for the presidency in 2011 PDP primaries, it was rumoured that he wanted to choose Amaechi as his vice.
So I've always laughed when I see people thinking that Saraki's Senate will be the one to turn against Amaechi. How are we sure that Amaechi didn't have a hand in Saraki's senate presidency coming from the same caucus in the party? Therefore, sometimes one need to be wary of interfering in the affairs of these politicians. Aregbesola almost lost his life during his tussle with Oyinlola in Osun State. Right now, the two of them are in the same party and according to some sources, Aregbesola is even in support of him as a ministerial candidate from Osun. My point is we shouldn't stress ourselves much on these politicians. They know how to deal with themselves. You have a clear understanding of how Nigerian politics work unlike many ignorant folks in this forum. Oyinlola is a done deal due to the role he and adeleke played in aregbesola reelection as governor, adeleke is now in the senate while oyinlola will be made a minister. That was their agreement.
