This is my position also, but you can't speak for those guys. You can't predict them.
yea, but they can never be united not to confirm amaechi , I don't think any APC member will want to continue be in the bad books of PMB seeing all what saraki is going through now and no one can decamp unless he wants to loose his or her seat so its also a battle of survival for the APC senators especially. They have to prove to us who is the majority party simple.

How did they go back to tell their party that they won't go against Saraki as their President?
That is why they are all in a tight corner now, the APC senators have to answer their papa name today, are they APC members or PDP members? no sitting on the fence again.

How did they go back to tell their party that they won't go against Saraki as their President?
This is how they have put themselves in a tight corner, the APC senators will finally have to tell their party if they are APC members or PDP members. This is the reason Ndume is talking now even though he is not sincere just like Dino Melaye but they all have to make up their mind as to where they belong finally.

You can't boldly and authoritatively say "if all the APC Senators" support Amaechi........remember when some of these APC Senators decided to romance this same PDP to form an alliance against their colleagues in that chamber? Its going to be difficult now to say they will all go together on this.
so how will the APC senators tell their party leadership that they can't confirm amaechi?
Politics › Re: Amaechi Is Our Member, The Senate Belongs To APC Not PDP – Ndume by Goke7: 8:36am On Oct 22, 2015
The APC Senators don't have balls at all especially with the way the PDP is using them to play, am seriously waiting to see whether a saraki will have the liver to report back to PMB that amaechi is not confirmed.

Saraki has put himself in very tight corner, he cannot go against his party in soul, PDP and against his party in paper, APC at the same time. He is finished either way and I don't feel sorry for him at all after all I was not with him in the small car he hid himself in the car park from 6am to 10am just because he wanted to be senate President.

Radio kudirat was formed to fight against the Miltary for the June 12 election annulment which had brought the nation to its knees then, It was not a separatist thing so what is aka ikenga talking about, abeg they should find another excuse and stop using radio kudirat to defend the separatist radio biafra station. its a silly excuse using radio kudirat. I thought the SE believe they are more smarter than the SW. lol

Am sorry the ibos actually are the ones bringing all these upon themselves, despite all the warnings and education from even their own people, they still find it difficult live within their own boundaries in different places in Nigeria.

The happenings in Akure has become a precedence which may be replicated in other parts of yoruba land and I hope the ibos will get wiser this time around.

Politics › Re: Senate’s Crisis Over Amaechi Deepens - The Nation by Goke7: 10:30am On Oct 21, 2015
wirinet:
This is the main difference between northern and southern politicians, while northern politicians collapse their personal interest into a single group interest in order to acquire and retain power, southern politicians - especially the southeastern ones destroy their group interest on the alter of personal interest, vendetta, hatred and jealously. Amaechi is one of the most influential south south or Igbo politician today, he was the most influential governor in the last dispensation and he is one of the closest person to the president. Instead of Igbos and south south Igbos generally to leverage on this influence, they are desperate to destroy the most influential politician of Igbo extraction, just because he was instrumental to the defeat of their hero at the polls.
Even the Ijaws have move on and are positioning themselves in positions of influence in the new administration. Jonathan himself has been reaching out to political adversaries like OBJ to make peace. I won't even be surprised if Jonathan makes peace with Amaechi. One can understand Wike's grouse with Amaechi, but what is beyond comprehension is Igbos anger with him. It is ironic that the Igbos support and demonstrated for Saraki ( a yoruba -fulani man, but wants Amaechi skinned alive. Tomorrow the same people will come out and complain that Hausa fulanis are dominated the political space.

Even if Amaechi is confirmed, he might be antagonistic towards the interest of the Igbos because of the hatred shown by them, and if he is not confirmed, the ministerial slot might be given to an inconsequential politician.

In politics there is no permanent friends or enemies, only permanent interests.
You've spoken well even though a lot of the guys across the niger will not agree with you, Political intolerance in the south is the reason the north may continue to have their way for a long time but I can tell you that the pdp are only wasting their time, in Nigeria you can't override the interests of the C in C. As weak as Jonathan was, he always had his way. The only way you can defeat a C in C in Nigeria is through the ballot box. In all other areas, The President always have his way talk of less of the issue of appointing ministers.

Politics › Re: Rivers Govt Dissociates Itself From Seperatist Protest In The State by Goke7: 8:13am On Oct 21, 2015
Am not fooled by the Rivers Govt position, they are aware of it for the protesters to be so bold to lock down the city. The biafra thing is one of the propaganda from the pdp to distract the FG and paint them bad before the whole world as an oppressive Govt so they can have some mileage to see if they can get back to aso rock even before 2019. The Rivers Govt is only trying to play politics by denying biafra

The biafra thing will continue for as long as pdp remains in oppositon, why? The biafra people are the same people that

1. are crying for appointments from the FG
2. are supporting saraki and carrying him on his head
3. supporting Ekwereamdu and don't see anything bad in a opposition becoming dsp, something pdp itself can't take
4. don't want amaechi as minister,
5. have fayose as their hero and even say he is better than awolowo,
6. same people crying witch hunt
7. are yet to recover from GEJ's loss at the polls even when the ijaws have moved on
8. blaming the sw for GEJ' failure
9. love ffk the most and see aribisala as the only brilliant person from sw
10. see everywhere in Nigeria as a no man's land and disrespect their host communities where they reside, something they can't take themselves.

We are not fooled by pdp's propaganda machine, they are a liability that we just need to manage for now.
Politics › Re: Senate suspends plenary till thursday: Acting clerk Nelson Oyewo by Goke7: 7:30pm On Oct 20, 2015
Like I said on another thread, apc need to remove saraki latest by January or else PMB will get stucked.

Am sorry to say this, PDP owns the senate, apc need to get it back simple.
Politics › Re: Dino Melaye: Amaechi Will Be Screened Tomorrow by Goke7: 2:23pm On Oct 20, 2015

They have resolved in the senate at least to do things thoroughly. If they don't, people will still complain. Personally for me more questions should follow answers in case they are not satisfied like in the case of Fashola where people are still not satisfied with his responses to website and borehole costs. They were supposed to grill him more on them.
Its all blackmail, PDP can never allow any party run rings round them if they were in power, the earlier apc get rid of saraki who is not bothered about them (APC) in any way the better. PDP is too comfortable with saraki which is a red flag for APC. Between now and early next year, if the saraki quadratic equation is not solved on time. PMB may be stucked.
Politics › Re: Dino Melaye: Amaechi Will Be Screened Tomorrow by Goke7: 12:20pm On Oct 20, 2015
Honestly PDP is in control of the senate someone needs to prove it to me otherwise. If anyone observe they are the ones who ask questions that tries to throw the nominees off balance, something pdp never tolerated as the ruling party. Apc is not in charge of the Senate

Exactly. But the APC senators would resist any attempt to scuttle the screening of Ameachi. Saraki can only drag it for so long
The APC senators are not sincere, looks like saraki has put them in a tight corner with his court case he is expected to be in court for the next two or three days being a criminal case, is it a pdp deputy senate President that will clear amaechi? yeye de smell. APC truly was naive allowing saraki to be senate President

The PDP and her followers allude to issues as if things were any different when they held sway. Anticipatory critics is very wrong because Metuh has been shouting hoax in anticipation of the verdicts that may turn up in Rivers and A'ibom mostly. So far PMB has proven that he is not interfering in most of the judgement, the Rivers Senate and House of Rep comes to mind, a PDp Govt would ve done its best to upturn the judgements in favour of APC. Metuh is messing up and should be removed, i desire a strong opposition but right now to must people the PDP is now the official mouth piece of corrupt people. To get it right the Pdp should bring in credible characters to help her get back the people. Make Mike Ahamba the spokesman and Ribadu the party chair, the credibility of figures alone will make people get to atleast listen to what Pdp is saying, right now most people don't even listen to Metuh, listening comes from the mind and perception. I ve no links to the party or these persons. Oliseh Metuh and Secondus just reminds people of the past.
Forget opposition, PDP still see themselves as the ruling party and landlord that just lease out a room to a tenant. It will take 8 years for PDP to realise that they are no longer a ruling party. The rants will continue until metu becomes the only card carrying member of PDP if he still remain their spokesman

Let me remind you again..

It is unlawful to detain someone for 3 days without charging him to court.

That's what he said.
If the Nigerian State feel that he committed a crime, then take him to court.
This is democracy, not military regime.
Your president keep breaking the laws everyday but you won't see that.

In the heart of every reasonable Nigerian lies the truth that 2015 election was credible but not free and fair! Free and fair why then are there lots of issues at the state and senate levels? Or u want to tell me the angels that conducted the presidential election disappeared before other elections?
The truth is Yes Buhari won but it was mainly cos the north has high populations and there were lots of cheats there too!

Ask Jegga in his heart of heart he knows!
You don't get my point, what am saying is that its only when Jonathan supporters want to praise him to high heavens that they say he presided even over the best free and fair elections in Nigerian history but when they want to cry and wail, they say what you just said in your post.

That to me is contradictory and confusing.

Politics › Re: Naija by Goke7: 9:22am On Oct 19, 2015
Nigerian politics is too complicated, it will take a very powerful political bloc to support any Presidential candidate whether apc, pdp or whatever party. It look obj, ibb, danjuma, atiku, even tinubu to support PMB [despite being an ex head of state] to emerge as president. Many folks forget that these same cabal had to support Jonathan to win elections in 2011. People forget that obj did badly in his second term as president but the pdp still remained in power with Yar adua emerging as President.

Whoever pdp wants to present needs the support of these powerful guys to win, we abuse them daily but they determine who occupy aso rock.

We are on the same page.. My point is keeping him in detention without trial is against his fundamental and constitutional right as a Nigerian. If the FG has a case against him they should perfect their charges and bring him before a court of competent jurisdiction for a speedy trial and sentencing.

Let us stop supporting the impunity of the Government in whatever disguise.
My guy, the news about Kanu's arrest has only been on the social media online, the Government has not come out officially to say that the guy has been arrested, Govt all over the world knows how to manoveur its own laws, anyone who accuses the Govt now will just get a response from an official that his arrest has not been confirmed and that they will inform the whole world when they confirm, they will buy time stylishly to investigate the guy thoroughly before charging him to court.
Politics › Re: APC, PDP Senators Set For Battle Over Amaechi by Goke7: 8:29am On Oct 19, 2015
all former governors in the senate whether pdp or apc will support Amaechi, they know how to protect their own, they are not as divisive as people think, wike should use his head and learn from fayose, you can't stop a former governor from being screened as a minister by the senate, especially when the senate president is a former governor himself.

if anyone watch our political space carefully, its a cylce, former governors become senators or ministers, the ones who become ministers to be screened by the senate will always have their peers in the senate and you know what again, a former senator who was a governor before could be a minister tomorrow e.g. Ngige. This is why they can't go against themselves today cos nobody knows tommorrow.

its a paddy paddy thing, we just de make noise online, the delay in amaechi screening is to fool Nigerians that they are doing a thorough job. They may need Amaechi's favour tommorrow, wike should get sense abeg.

I think your statement gives credence to the fact that Nigeria is a Zoo as been put forth by Mr. Nnamdi Kalu otherwise how can you be so proud of a system that will incarcerate a man indefinetly without trial?

It is a violation of his right and that's the point he wants to prove to the world. Only cowards fear death. I am not a Biafran and don't support the Biafrans either but the fundamental right of every Nigerian must be guaranteed if we truly want to be taken seriously in the comity of nations as humans and not truly animals in a Zoo.
If you read this guy's posts on facebook with the way he incites his gullible followers against the present FG, you won't be saying this, may be you have forgotten pdp'sOlisa metuh's independence message to Nigerians, where he advised everyone to be careful about the way they address the President with unprintable names, I guess Oliseh metuh was advising kanu in a subtle way, he knew what was coming for the small boy who never witnessed the biafra war himself.
