All praises and adoration belongs to ALLAH, the most beneficient, the most merciful and the banisher of distress. We seek ALLAH's rahmah on the noblest of mankind, the last prophet of ALLAH (S W T), Muhammad (S A W), his household, his companions and those that follow him in his rightful steps till the day of accountability. Indeed ALLAH has perfected this religion of Islam for us, blessing us with HIS guidance all through every aspect of our lives (name it!!!) Here is a link to the islamic perspective on feeding, which is an important part of our activities in life. http://www.yespakistan.com/wellness/nutrition.asp |
Ma sha Allah... I think we're getting more of the beneficial posts, AlhamduliLLAH! |
NL member: No need for any plenty talk, if you folks know that you want this section to be exclusively reserved for Muslims then make sure you never post anything in the main religion board because doing so would be double standard and hypocritical.Your problem. |
Dewze: seriously?yes you may check Napolleon Hill's famous book, "think and grow rich", the last section of chapter 9 "the last great prophet" , for your confirmation |
Its not a matter of playing any victim or vanquish it is just a call for having more of beneficial posts to the muslims than the argumentative ones. So you may save your frustrations because there's nothing to argue about here. |
PBundles: I quote you: compared to a society whereby you immediately feel odd no matter how many you are, once you are not of the religion the society has been founded. so very true..... I think you have spoken for many non Muslims. For the good order I dont want you come away with any ill feelings and I dont want you to feel that Im trying to dis you im not. This is a free world and I beleive we have the right to beleive or NOT beleive in whatever we like. This holds true for Muslims, Non Muslims, Catholics, Protestants, Jews, Boedhist and the Atheist. The freedom I cherish should be granted to others in the like manner and form with no prejudice. We also have the right to agree to disagree and that is what I love about the western society.According to you, regarding the western world, "This is a free world and I beleive we have the right to beleive or NOT beleive in whatever we like." But verily, nobody is forcing anyone to believe. It's everyone's show. " This holds true for Muslims, Non Muslims, Catholics, Protestants, Jews, Boedhist and the Atheist". Yes I agree. "The freedom I cherish should be granted to others in the like manner and form with no prejudice. We also have the right to agree to disagree and that is what I love about the western society. " And here we are. If you sgall be standing by your words, you'll agree with me that denying some set of people of the practice of what they cherish and believe in as their religion, is something not too fair. I'll condemn the act if it was happening to the non-muslims too. The holy prophet Muhammad (S A W) even after taking over the city of Mecca, still lived peacefully with the non-muslims, guided them and made them enjoy the equal civil rights entitled to the muslims. And that is how it has been everywhere where there's an Islamic system of government. Islam not getting the same treatment from the western world today is not to good for the whole humanity. |
It is a month everybody can testify to as that of peace. You see everybody striving towards good deeds like giving alms, reciting the Qur'an, praying regularly because they are aware of the folded rewards. And the most noticeable is the dry hangouts; the bars, the pubs and other ungodly places. People abstain from those acts in the month. Even the non-muslims benefit from this. They experience peace in the nights of Ramadan, they also gain the confidence to come out at night and move around, they testify to peace descending. We have been blessed with this month, and I am very excited and pray ALLAH grants us opportunities to witness many of it on earth. |
PBundles: I guess the same way you would ask a christian born Saudi to get with the program or leave (or arent they also citizens), capiche. Probably not. Others must conform to your understanding, pray tell if you would try and conform to anothers. and that my friend is the problem that is being seen with Muslims and non muslims. I dont know how much you have travelled, but I have been around mainly due to my work and it true, travel is education. You see how the other side lives and you realize its not black and white but mainly grey. Why would I ask a christian to leave the country of her birth?! Yes I'm aware the vatican is not a country, but it is the only christian religious society I know of. I don't think there's any christian country in the world, that is why I have used it as my case of study. And yes I was aware of the RATIO when I talked about it, but the fact is that no matter how small this particular set are, since the society does not stand on a religious ground, they are allowed their own environment amidst every other of their entitlements. That is what makes the ratio negligible, compared to a society whereby you immediately feel odd no matter how many you are, once you are not of the religion the society has been founded. If the world should agree like I'll agree with you that religion, being seen as man's only way to reach his creator, continues to hold an important factor in humanity, then why is it not respected in the free state?, lke it won't be tampered with on the other side. I really don't like to argue this over again. I'm a seafarer, so I've had a wide travel experience also. |
And that is the problem. They intrude into the islamic topics that is suppose to benefit muslims and turn it to argument zone. I think shunning them is the best thing we need. |
PBundles: No I didnt look it up to be frank. I took a poli science/ethics class way back when to complete my minor credits during my undergrad in 95, but thats a different matter. Secular doesnt mean religons livig together as you put it but the fact that the state seperates religion and doesnt use it as its basis for governing, primarily to ensure that ppl are given the freedom to be free and NOT fall under any religous stipulations. What I mean is that because the french state is secular (not founded or governed on a religious basis), you'll agree with me that we have different people of different religions living together in negligible rations, unlike places like the vatican or an islamic state where you tend to have vivid ratio of some particular people religious wise to some very minute set of people practising the other religions. In that words, being free in a secular state, stretches to freedom of practising one's religion of choice. I would also condemn the act, if churches are banned or nuns are banned from walking on the streets, claiming it is protectionism. The 'freedom' as we put it has been denied some set of people, ragarding their religion. But the question is; how do you ask a female citizen of france to leave her country of birth for another land unplanned, because she is denied to wear what comports with her religion?!! Isn't that EXILE? |
Dewze: I do sincerely appreciate your stance.I don't know how to agree with you on your aspiration to ban religious symbols, because public opinion will also be a factor, but I'll appreciate the fact that you'll want to make a balance and fair judgement starting from your own part. Banning the cross in GOVERNMENT offices I think is polite, because the country belongs to various types of people and religion, so attaching a particular religious symbol (be it islamic or not) is not a modest gesture. I don't know anything about that anyway. I also won't agree it is protectionism, but if so it is, I think it has been painted protectionism but truly discriminative.. A true protectionism law should protect the interest of the muslims willing to wear the veil as it will protect the interest of the non-muslim not willing to wear. |

I'm sure you went to look the word 'secular' up in the dictionary, forgetting the use of words sometimes go beyond the literary dictionary meanings. Secularity in this sense meaning non-religious is a state formed NOT on religious basis, therefore several religion is allowed to be practised and according to the definition of democracy and fundamental human right, a man in such a place has a right to his religion. Nigeria for example is a secular state and what would be your reaction if churches are banned in Nigeria. I think you should be the one to check your words very well before submitting it. If reading it slowly is what you do before understanding your own written words, then I'll guess you did not go through that routine on this. If you ask muslims to stay away from france because you think they may feel not accepted, then are you definitely requesting muslim french go on EXILE?... I think you need help!!! |
Dewze: my own opinion is this.I am not condemning their homo laws because it is compatible with some religion aside with Islam, but I'll condemn it with my words because it is anti-Islamic. Anyway, encouragement or banning of homo acts is their choice as a country, benefiting some set of people or religions. The question is; Why should Muslims be prevented from wearing what is compatible with their own religion in a secular state of high democracy? |
NL member: @golpen,I sincerely won't only ask Allah for forgiveness for tagging you a xtian when you're not, I'll also aks Allah to forgive me for even wasting my own time to answer you in the first place. |
PBundles: If this is true, that other religions are to be respected, then WHY ARE BIBLES NOT ALLOWED IN CERTAIN ISLAMIC COUNTRIES (ie The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). I may be wrong but is there any country that bans the Quran? This is the simple illustration. You would appoint a teacher, after series of interview, who you think will teach your students the right thing. I don't know about the bible ban in Saudi, but if that's the case, Saudi-arabia is an islamic state and even the unborn knows that, so not allowing the bible into their country is their choice as an ISLAMIC state. On the other hand, France is a secular state, an HIJAB has been banned, homo marriages have been encouraged with other inhuman acts. What is your comment on that? |
This article is inspired by a particular thread "how fast can you read the Qur'an with tejweed" and contributing to the thread I felt in order to accomplish the aim of producing better muslims through this forum, we need to have more topics that will be beneficial to every muslim NL member, helping us to understand more the religion itself. The major hinderance to achieving this I think is the fact that over 90% of the posts we have here are argumentative, hence we are derailed from learning new things about our religion. If we are going to have this set of articles here, I think these suggestions should be taken into consideration; - The stated regulations for the website should be taken - checks should be made by the moderators to disallow any external (non-muslim)contribution. - a sign may be adopted to indicate the thread as a NO non-muslim zone, so they don't fuss if they get banned or their posts hidden. - any non-muslim may be allowed to ask a question concerning only the topic of the thread. - scholarly opinions with sound proofs should be accepted by the contributing muslims. - questions, suggestions and contribution suspected to derail the thread should by checked by the moderators. I'll appreciate opinions from muslims only please, contributions are encouraged and bits may be added too, as I think this will go a long way to benefit us muslims here. |
I think I've read an hadith about a companion who reads the whole Qur'an in 3 days and when summoned to the Prophet (S A W), the prophet after serious persuasion for him to increase the number of days to at least 10 days, of which he insisted in a shorter number of days, the prophet made a compellation of reciting the Qur'an in a minimum of 7 days. I don't have a fast tongue like many muslims, and I'm still learning to improve my tajwid, so I strive so well to finish in 10 days, with the stated regulations. |
NL member: This thread is the confirmation I need to make sure nobody I know or care about ever becomes a muslim. And as you always imagine muslims still have some points to justify the act, remember you couldn't give the least point of justification for the inequities and indecencies you sleep and swim in, in the christian world which you think is the way and would love your families to be partners in ignorance!!! |
NL member: @bold, you can give your daughter out in marriage at six without her approval?I'll just while I watch you swimming in your pool of ignorance. Maybe I won't forget to feel sober and pray for you whenever I remember you displayed a typical christian HYPOCRISY, not answering my questions. But the point is, the tag on the forum says "muslims only" and even goes on to confirm that even moderators are muslims. If you are going to be allowed to bring up any of your problems concerning Islam, WILL to learn. And if you want to criticize, get answers to my QUESTIONS!!! |
cleanvessel: You react when Allah is insulted. But your quran says Allah is SUFFICIENT as DEFENDER (Quran 4:171). Why do you need to defend a SUFFICIENT defender? Thanks.Who am I to defend the Almighty ALLAH, the lord of the worlds. Don't misquote me like all your fellow christians have always done. I REACT doesn't mean I DEFEND. Get it straight. I've never called anyone 'stupid' in my conversations. You may only like to admire my use of words that hits you somewhere without passing any literary harm. Infact this thread is just to pass a news that a church truns mosque and not to analyse my style of arguments. You may open a new thread for that. thanks. |
NL member: Is this a joke? A girl of niine can give her consent? What is this nonsense?Don't get frustrated with any of my words. You may contact hypertension. Before you start mumbling about your science hypotesis, you should check your area very well and go against my points I've stated about the indecent acts of your neighbours little kids of that age and then yours. And then you mumble about cognitive functions that is mature enough to know that erotic movies are more interesting than the boring ones. I may not give out my daughter at that age because it is not compulsory I do so and even if I choose to do, it is none of anybody's business. I think I have answered your question but you haven't answered mine. What is your church doing to the bride's dressing that exposes her cleavage in her wedding gown?! What is the christian world doing to every rise in rate of homo acts and weddings even your reverends engage in?, what of the provocative dresses that confuses your pastors' attention, while preaching to you in church?!!! This is just a few! Answer these questions NL MEMBER!!! |
NL member: A girl of nine cannot give her consent for marriage because she is a child, besides child birth by a nine year old can lead to a lot of complications like VVF and even death because their bodies are not matured enough to handle child birth.A girl of nine may give her consent to a marriage insha Allah. Not even in this jet age we are. In an age when you see primary sch children in homo and other indecent acts. Like @deols and @hokbah have rightly said, the rate at which civilisation has changed our mentality has gone irreparable. Then, marrying a 9 year old girl was just a norm, not only in the arab region, but in the neighbourhood regions. People fail to look into the practice of this decision, before passing their criticisms or endorsements. The lady grows in the matrimony learning many things (such as the house chores, maternal chores, etc) to become a young lady capable of taking any marital steps. We have seen cases of children within that age range, having crushes on even older youths, that is to show how very conscious these girls are. These aren't the things that needs to be tackled, but for the hatred non muslims have against Islam, they have backed the dog tackling islamic issues they don't understand, whereas, their own society goes bizarre. Indecent and almost unclad dressing is the order of the day and because serving God is in the heart, they are allowed to wear this provocatives to their worship grounds. Homo acts is also becoming rampant, but to our surprise, it has gone on to find its way into our legal books. Their are very many things like this that the non islamic world is either not taking note of, or, promoting, due to what they think is civilisation or countering the Islamic world and obviously is not helping humanity. |
cleanvessel: Thank you for loving us even though you still abuse. ''Islam is a religion of peace''.I don't abuse, like I've not abused you. I only react to any form of insult to my Allah and the religion. And thanks too for agreeing to the fact! |
cleanvessel: You hate truthman, pointblank, cleanvessel, deSika, blenble, every Christian. Na u sabi o!How is that possible that I hate you, when I don't even know you. We may have problems with each other's ideologies, but in trying to convince each other, I don't think there's a room for hatred. Besides, my religion (ISLAM) goes against hating any body be it muslim or not. This is not part of the argument and you have just submitted to me your level of maturity. Thanks |
Just like Dr Zakir Naik said in his last lecture in Nigeria, the most misunderstood word in the world is the word 'JIHAD'... The funny thing is they don't want to know anything about that word, all they know is once they have the chance to link any incident to islam and that word, they don't look back or mind the cost in publishing it to be accepted without scrutiny by he league of th gullibles!!! |
cleanvessel: An old building like an old car becomes financially burdensome. Why not sell and move forward to the next level? Muslims can continue to buy OLD church buildings, while Christians move to new ones. Why don't you stop deceiving yourselves. I don't really like to discuss this church issue with you. It is not a news you should try to argue because it is not aimed at relegating christianity. It is just like a news you will also love to post in this same forum if a mosque became a church too. Meanwhile, the church the church was too old for their use, but they said the maintenance was eating them 'house and home' Save your fingers for more important issues and don't let your inferiority rule over you. ![]() |
cleanvessel: The Bible is not corrupted. It is valid, full of life and power. Thank you.HYPOCRISY!!!! |
"We still have an active congregation and a mission ministry, but keeping up the building was eating us house and home", Rev. Knotts said.. How does this imply that the churh has advanced to higher level or that the church was no longer useful. The reverend said they couldn't keep up with the maintenance, so they had to sell it, hence, merging with another church. I don't think it's a news delivered to relegate the christians, but I think it's your inferiority complex that is making you to attack what is not. You better live good and don't give yourself hypertension. |
@cleanvessel I am still yet to understand your plights, may be because I'm so concerned about the each thread for each discussion policy. And okay I agree with you that you get an answer of your deleted post, which you have accused me of defending weakly, only IF we can get to a conclusion on the topic of this particular thread. It is you that have run away on this particular thread, only to come back and derail it with a deleted thread issue, ignoring your own contribution and dilemma on this thread. Answer the question according to the posts on this thread first, before we proceed. HAS THE BIBLE BEEN CORRUPTED OR NOT ![]() |
@cleanvessel and @pointblank is just a Typical christian. You have not solved you predicaments on the topic of this particular thread, but you prefer to derail the thread with false jargon. This thread is not for you to question the authencity of the Qur'an (create another thread for that), but its for us to question that of the bible (which you'll also agree you don't have good answers to) and if you think you do, the question still remains; Has the bible been corrupted or not?!!! . |
Mr anony: Lol, the same Zakir Naik that is notorious for dodging debates against pastors and theologians now wants someone to debate him and advertize his market to 20,000 customers!Dr Zakir Naik is never notorious for dodging any debates against any pastor. The particular man he rejected a debate with (forgotten his name), is the one looking for fame by engaging in a debate with him. He already defeated his father in christianity, Dr William Campbell in a debate in chicago, so what does he have to say. He has given over 2000 lectures and debates in just few couple of years. Don't you think he deserves to put debates and lectures under scrutiny? The non-muslim asking the question wanted to engage him in a debate and he requested he calls his most senior pastors, as you know he wouldn't have been any match for him . And yes he gave an option, if he would like to debate with his 18 year old son and Isang kept quiet. How would you expect a man to come all the way from outside of Africa just to preach to an adamant set of 20 christians? It doesn't make any meaning! |
DR Zakir Naik's lecture delivered insha ALLAH!!... Questions and answers underway!!! |
you may check Napolleon Hill's famous book, "think and grow rich", the last section of chapter 9 "the last great prophet" , for your confirmation
