They believe healing passed with the early church only. So admitting a miracle is an insult to their theology. Anyone who doesn't believe the word will never believe even in the face of miracle.

Two Ways To Give Him Glory · Wednesday, September 17th

Pastor Chris

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God (Romans 4:20).There’re two major ways of giving glory to God. The first one is to testify. And how do you testify? There’re three ways to testify; the first is by declaring what God did for you before the Lord Himself.

Secondly, you testify with your offering. Many don’t understand the power of the offering; it’s a testimony. When you give God your offering, it’s not a collection; it’s a sacred thing, holy unto the Lord. As you give it, you’re testifying and giving glory to Him in your life. Read about Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, and his son Solomon; they all gave offerings upon offerings in worship to God. From time to time, these patriarchs would worship with offerings.

The third way to testify is to tell others; make known to others that which the Lord has done in, with, and for you. Thus, you live your life before others every day, in faith, and manifesting His righteousness. So, when people see you and say, "This fellow never gets discouraged no matter what happens. He always stands his ground on the Word. He must really trust in the Lord!" That’s a testimony. These three form the number one way of giving glory to God.

The second way of giving glory to God is by speaking or shouting "Glory!" This is revealed in Psalms 29:9 (NIV): "…And in his temple all cry, "Glory!" Did you notice it doesn’t say, "…every one should whisper Glory!" You can therefore imagine how Abraham must have lived; he was constantly shouting "Glory," in spite of his precarious condition in the eyes of other men. We do that too a lot of times when we’re led by the Spirit to shout "Glory!"

It makes no difference where you are, or what you’re facing; irrespective of the daunting task or challenges, shout "Glory!" As you do, the Lord’s presence and power will be manifested in your situation!

Prayer...
Dear Father, I thank you for your kindness, faithfulness, and love. I thank you for the miracles you’ve wrought in my life, and the testimonies that abound. I’ll declare your mighty works and tell of your grace to all around me. Great are you, Lord, and greatly to be praised, now and forever, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

haibe: Loss Made by the Shopkeeper = Profit Made by the
Lady + Profit made by the next Shopkeeper John

Profit made by the lady = #800 Cash + #200 good = #1000

Profit Made by the John = #0 (Because he cancelled
the note-exchange that occurred earlier)

Loss made by the Shopkeeper = #1000 + #0 = #1000

Another way to look at it

At the beginning, the shopkeeper has say #0 and
goods worth # 200.

His net worth = 200

The lady gave him #1000 note with 0 real value.
His net worth = 200

He gets change for #1000 note from other shop

His net worth = #1200

He gives away # 200 worth goods, #800 in cash to the
lady.

His net worth = #1200 - 200- 800 = # 200

The other shop owner comes back and takes away #1000 from him.

His net worth = #200- #1000 = -800

His net worth dropped from #200 to # -800
Total loss = #1000

Christianity EtcThe Grace-advantage! by Gombs(op): 9:01am On Sep 16, 2014
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever: Amen. (2 Peter 3:18).

The grace-advantage is the power of promotion. It brings acceptability, honour and dignity into your life such that others see the beauty and excellence of God in you. The grace of God has been made available to everyone of us in abundance (Ephesians 4:7); it’s the lifting power of God that attracts the right people, materials and resources you need to function in God’s destiny for your life. As one who’s graced of God, there’s a divine aura about you that attracts good to you. Even in challenging situations, that grace gives you the advantage and causes you to rise above every adversity.

Never struggle to be accepted at work, in school, at home or anywhere; you have the grace-advantage. All you need is to recognize and be strong in the grace of God: “Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 2:1). To be strong is the grace of God is to be conscious of, and take advantage of it! You’re the seed of Abraham; therefore the grace for prosperity is working in you twenty-four hours a day! That grace puts you ahead and positions you for success like it did for Isaac, who sowed in a time of famine and reaped a hundredfold harvest in the same year (Genesis 26:12-13).

Even as the world battles a downturn, with major economies failing, you still have the advantage because you’re a child of grace. That’s why the Bible says “When men are cast down, then thou shall say, there is lifting up…” (Job 22:29). That’s because you have the grace-advantage; a lifting power that causes your life to move from glory to glory.

Testify! · Tuesday, September 16th

Pastor Chris

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death (Revelation 12:11).

As a Christian, it’s important you testify of God’s goodness and the victories He has wrought through you. Our opening verse says, "… they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." Learn to testify always! Let your environment feel the impact of your testimonies. Testify of the power of God’s Word. Testify of the miracles of God that you’ve witnessed and experienced in your personal life.

One important reason you must always testify is because not all the demons of darkness know you. Of course, they know you’re a believer in Christ Jesus, but they don’t know your personality. Therefore, they’ll test you to know whether you’re full of fear or not; they’ll want to test you to know whether or not you’re trained. So, when you get to a new environment, the first thing you should do is to start testifying. Testify of the workings of the Word of God in your life. Testify of the triumphs of your faith.

When you testify, the demons that are close by will hear your words and begin to transmit your profile to other demons. Soon enough, they’ll become careful not to toy with you or anyone connected to you. Do you know why? Demons are proud figures who don’t like to be disgraced; so they’ll stay off you.

However, if you don’t testify, they wouldn’t know what God has done in your life and with your life, and so, they’ll be hanging around occasionally, throwing darts at you; maybe in the form of fever or headache, or even stir up issues against you at work, because they don’t know who you are. But when they know you, they back off. So, be quick to always share your testimonies.

Confession...
The Lord is my light and my salvation; He’s made me an overcomer and more than a conqueror! Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world. I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. Glorious things are spoken of me. Halleluiah!

Let's not lose focus on the main issue - Jesus HAD THE INHERENT ABILITY TO HEAL anyone WITHOUT first teaching.
I have healed folks with out teaching, why, because they believed I could, simple. Just because you haven't wrought the supernatural don't mean it is impossible or not true

1 John 4: 17 is simply telling us that Christians represent Christ here on earth. How? As part of our ambassadorship.
lipsrsealed
We are exactly as He is Not was... all He did we can do, even more

Christ is the first begotten. And we? 1 John 3: 2&3: "2 Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.
3 And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.

We are and will always be accepted IN BELOVED. We don't stand on our own merits.

Again to get back; Jesus Christ is UNIQUE - remember the Israelites shama -  'Hear oh Israel' ? It was a pointer to this uniqueness of Jesus.
Bro, if you can't explain why He was once THE ONLY BEGOTTEN of the father before His death, then after resurrection He became THE FIRST BEGOTTEN of the Father... I can understand, thank you.

His ministry, including his healings, was unique therefore for any man to EQUATE himself with Jesus is blasphemous.
What made it unique? Shey His Holy Spirit was and is different from ours, abi? Is it not the same Spirit that raised Him from the dead that dwells in our bodies? Was it not the same Holy Spirit that did those great works in Jesus that's in us today? Is it not the fullness of the Godhead that dwells in us bodily? Or maybe that same spirit in Jesus is on sabbatical and the lower version in us. undecided

Please, what makes Jesus' miracles unique than today's? Why did He then say we shall do greater works than He did if we believe?

That is why I stated that it was impossible for it (his power to do miracles) to be lessened because of unbelief or lack of faith. When he chose not to do miracles it was an act of his will. Jesus was in a class of his own.
What class?
Put this in perspective
[NLT] John 17:22 “I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one.
Christianity EtcRe: Truth Behind Christ Embassy Healing School By Sir John by Gombs(m):
mbaemeka: Bro Gombs,

Thank you o. I shared the same things you just did on some other thread and it was like what I quoted wasn't from scripture. I am happy you are showing it to them. I have more respect for him than his friend as he sometimes discusses the scriptures. His Pal will see scriptures and runaway or isolate a miniscule aspect of your post and feign peity yet he will be starting threads and calling people's father's and husband's "Charlatans and evil".

Sometimes I wonder what they think they know if the knowledge of these scriptures is above them. It reminds me of when Jesus spoke to Nicodemus and had to ask him "Are you the leader of Israel yet you don't know all these things?".

We just have to pray like Paul that the eyes of their understanding will be enlightened so that they may know the hope of our calling and the riches of our inheritance in Christ even as he takes form in them and dwells in their heart by faith-as it is clear that it is not so as we speak. Amen.
Exactly! It's just prayers o. I naturally would have ignored a lot of threads on NL, but I can't, God’s Spirit let me know that I have to be here. If not for the presence of a select few on NL, imagine the gospel and theory DB, et al write here and the very many who'd have been in the bondage of religion.

One thing I thank God for is the ministry I found myself in, plus the education I got... They've termed me brainwashed, gullible and such, but I'm not perturbed, neither am I moved by their addresses online, the real world is outside, where souls languish, and we give them light, by that alone I know many folks who try to nail Churches and Pastors don't have any idea of spiritual discipline and authority...but if DB thinks by his threads on NL he'd pull down CEC, he should have a rethink, the media failed at it years back and are now, you can’t block the sun with one finger, neither a moving train with ropes.

I saw a thread about bashing T.B Joshua and I smiled, why? If only they knew the implications. I pray they know the hope of our calling as Christians and know it is a terrible thing to fall on the Rock or when the rock falls on them.

But in a great house (Church of God) there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work (2 Timothy 2:20-21)

As it can be seen there’re different qualities of vessels in God’s house: vessels of silver and gold, and vessels of wood and of earth. Being born again, we’re all vessels in the house of God, made for honouring Him. Some however, decide to be clay and wood unto dishonour of the body of Christ. Sadly, they don't know an insult to the body is an insult to the Head.

trustman: Now you're coming out to truly show yourself as one who sets out to 'bully' others. Well done!

Because the WoF advocates deify man they find it easy to put Jesus Christ in the same mould as themselves. It is therefore easy for them to look at him from their own perspective.
The Christian cannot equate himself with Jesus.
See: https://www.nairaland.com/1790500/word-faith-movements-doctrine-proponents/4#24527108

Note again what I have mentioned previously:
By proclaiming ourselves to be "little gods" we try to place ourselves on the same level with God. Without doubt, this is the very height of arrogance and is nothing more than self-worship and self-glorification.

The only person who can be termed to be in the God Class is the Lord Jesus Christ who is described in the book of Hebrews as being “the exact representation of his being” or “express image of his (God’s) person” – Hebrews 1:3.

Therefore Jesus HAD THE INHERENT ABILITY TO HEAL anyone WITHOUT first teaching.
When he healed a man with a demon in Mark 5: 1-20 what TEACHING did he do before the healing? Going on from there in the same Mark 5 when he got to the house of a ruler of the synagogue to heal/resuscitate his daughter could he TEACH the dead before performing the miracle? And he still performed the miracle in spite of the people's reaction - "40 And they laughed at him. But he put them all outside and took the child's father and mother and those who were with him and went in where the child was.
41 Taking her by the hand he said to her, "Talitha cumi," which means, "Little girl, I say to you, arise."
42 And immediately the girl got up and began walking (for she was twelve years of age), and they were immediately overcome with amazement.
Now if you tell me it's perhaps because the parents of the girl had faith that is why Jesus WAS ABLE to raise the girl from the dead then I'll ask you why your 'MoG''s faith alone is not able to work on those who had little or no faith.
So do you see now that Jesus DID NOT need to teach first before he could heal?
Can you explain 1 John 4:17 for me? Why did Jesus say we shall do greater things than He did? Why did the Bible call him the first begotten of the father after His resurrection Rev 1:5, for He was termed as the ONLY begotten of the Father before His death as in John 1:14

If He's the first begotten, shey it means there are many others after Him, no?

Sanctified For The Master’s Use · Monday September 15th

If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work (2 Timothy 2:20-21).

As it can be seen in our opening verses, there’re different qualities of vessels in God’s house: vessels of silver and gold, and vessels of wood and of earth. Being born again, we’re all vessels in the house of God, made for honouring Him.

None of us was made "unto dishonour"; each one of us has been raised for His glory, but you can decide if you’re going to be a vessel of honour, or a vessel of dishonour. That’s what Paul meant when he said, "If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use…." To be "sanctified" means to be separated or set apart unto God for His sacred use, while to be "meet" means to be qualified.

We’ve already been sanctified: "By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all" (Hebrews 10:10). He has also qualified us (made us meet), to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:12). Therefore, you’ve been purged and cleansed from all that’s ignoble and unclean. You’re fit for the Master’s use. However, you must place yourself where you ought to be, and be available for Him to use you. The responsibility is yours, to be in a constant state of readiness, and be willing to take on more responsibilities for the Lord.

You may never know what more the Lord intends to do with your life, which is why you must be willing and ready to do more all the time. Make yourself available for greater responsibilities in the house of God, and do all you’re asked to do faithfully, with a sincere heart.

Prayer...
Dear Father, I thank you for your love and grace, which you’ve lavishly bestowed upon me, in sanctifying me for your sacred use, and qualifying me to be the partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light. I yield completely to you and declare that my life is for your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

hifaif: Go more personal. Search about me on Google and Twitter and post your findings, it wouldn't change the fact that your post is crappy and no meaningful discussion could be expected to come out of it.

About the thread you referred to, you were only too daft to understand my manners towards missyhorlar. Typical of a simpleminded individual like you to attack people with something like their DP
