The hype is that some countries cannot wait to take you in after destroying your own village. Do not cry and beg when they twist by your you know what, to beg the Government to bring you back home. Those that built the countries you are running to were younger than most of you. Always looking forward to places you did not sow to reap the hard work of others. Stay home and fight. Stop destroying with your filthy mouths and fingers. Who will miss you? |
I cannot believe some people are falling for this OP. His name is enough to expose him as a frustrated Pain in his own butt. What is his business with Sowore except to poke fun at him. |
Viewers celebrated when Miss Jamaica took the crown for the Miss World pageant on Saturday, but the reaction that caused the biggest stir online was that of runner-up Miss Nigeria. Nyekachi Douglas of Nigeria was standing on stage with Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica awaiting the announcement on who would be crowned Miss World. She then showed the ultimate support for Singh after it was revealed the woman would take the crown by jumping and yelling for the pageant queen, and it sparked a heartwarming reaction from people online. See how happy she was for the winner on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDf-CUySqXo |
Sometimes I wonder if some parents need all that money. I think the whole point behind it is making sure that a man can carry the responsibilities of a home. Too many people condemned the high price of the Igbo. But the real fact is, Yoruba also have a high price. It is either you pay now or pay later. Yoruba women are expensive to keep. But bad boys that women love so much have a way to get either of them. Indeed, the parents would come begging if she really loves you! Would you rather take many lashes of koboko? If you love her that much, your blokos must have dislocated under heavy koboko. There was this friend of ours that had to pay for his mother, well after the father passed. He paid fines and penalties like Paris loan. But he had a good job and position. |
Bossontop:Rice was usually an outside dish sold by Iya Fatai, Ewa Agoi a special dish sold by Togolese or Ghanaians. Black beans used for Frejon on Good Friday with fish. Otherwise, Rice or Jollof Rice on Sundays. Nigerian stable was pounded Yam or cocoyam. Tuwo in the North. Most Southerners eat the same food cooked differently. After all, most of them came from the same family. Actually, believe it or not, Cassava Gari was imported but century ago from South America. Ijebu folks, sorry o! Please add or subtract. Rice like bread were not our stable food. Idomie generation is above my pay scale or my head. |
I thought this topic is about what state contributes what. How do you jump to women as if they are helpless commodities? Look, centuries ago, Yoruba men were just as possessive as Igbo men about their women until Yoruba women became assertive and told Yoruba men where to go. Igbo men have to stop. Igbo women are not your possession. Didn't you get the memo all over the world. Women are now liberated! Doo! One thing that does not help is the culture that does not give right of land ownership and others to women. In Yoruba land Igbo women enjoy all the rights beyond their reach in Igbo land. Their children, as long as they are married to Yoruba men are full "citizens". We only realized as adults that some of our best friends have Igbo mothers. Note: Igbo men do not have the same privilege please. |
helinues:You do not understand the opium of "Lagos is within Reach". |
BabaRamota1980:This guy above will rather die dreaming about ruling the West like his great grandfather than become the Prime Minister or President of Nigeria. |
Must everything be about Biafra? When Fulani fooled and captured Hausa Seven States on corruption and excesses, was there Biafra? Let Igbo that want to be Biafrans be and those who want to be Nigerians be. Biko. Dedetwo: |
Shey na true true, l hia say Gambari kill 19 Fulani. Yoruba say no case. Shey na true dem dey fight? |
I am still baffled about why anyone would prefer to be the Premier of Western Region to the Executive Prime Minister of Nigeria. I do not get it. Personally, I would jump at being the Executive President or Prime Minister. What is the big deal about the West? |
Here I am meticulously looking for the Revolution these so called scholars of law are calling Revolution. By your scholarships Your Mumu Don Do would be a Revolution. Strikes for minimum wage would be a Revolution, Hunger and Poverty Protests would be a Revolution. But a call for Change was not a Revolution, Ciroma call to make the country ungovernable for Jonathan is not a Revolution, imposing the dead body of YarAdua and calling for protests not a Revolution. A university graduate in Algeria without a job, trying to make ends meet selling on the streets got arrested for not having a license is a Revolution? Nigeria will continue to wallow in poverty if you cannot see beyond your ethic bias to label and condemn Sowore. Does he carry arms that was discovered somewhere? He who prevents peaceful Revolution is paving the way for violent one. |
Rekhina:Rekhina, I have never seen your picture but you have a beautiful heart. If my people can help Fulani dig their grave, I would be happy. I understand what you mean though. The emphasis is what you mean by ARE. Do not forget both Yoruba and Igbo support Northerner/Fulani for President. Either way, Fulani wins. However, it is only Awolowo that Igbo hate so much that was willing to take the chance and bet on Igbo Executive PM twice against the advice of Akintola. The second time threw the West into chaos because of Awo insistence on betting on Igbo. Why was Zik happy as a second fiddle? Awo denied him Premiership of the West. How can anyone insist on ruling people who do not want you to rule them? Because God said so! If American Indians had to do it again, they would not rescue Columbus from the sea So Igbo would rather die as Hausa subordinate than allow Yoruba to be President. Even when Abiola was denied the election he won, Igbo contested primary against OBJ and voted against Falaye as Yoruba interest. Today, some Yoruba think Akintola was right and Awo was wrong. If Fulani were so bad, why support them before and since Independence? So my dear, Yoruba support Fulani now for President which Igbo have always done. |
Africans rejoice when politicians give them chicken change out of their own money. In other countries, politicians beg for individual contributions. Nigerians open una eye nah! |
It started with capturing Hausa Seven States. They move to One North to capture Middle Belt. Now declared Nigeria open from Northernn borders for Fulani RUGA. They want Sharia in the Constitution. As long as they have traditional Ally in the South since Independence, it will work for a while. Unfortunately, any region now has access in the world market to arms. Northerners need some wise men to stop digging their own graves. Boko Haram that started against the South has backfired badly in the North. A word is enough for the wise |
Mention one name that is from Benin. Any of you guys that do not bear Yoruba name, does not belong to the royal house. If you do not speak Yoruba, you do not belong to the royal house. Tell us one piece of land you own in Lagos. All the forming of Idi- or Olu- all Nigerians know belong to Yoruba as yours is silly. Onitana, Idi-Oluwo, Idi-Oro not to mention Olu make you guys look like and are fakers. Every Yoruba town has them. Even English and Portuguese names we have history of, not Edo names in Lagos. The Ogiso, also from Ife before you, and Ogiamen have won a Supreme Court ruling against Oba to vacate the land each Oba rent during coronation. As for if I am a Lagosian, leave that to Lagosians. Wetin concern Alfa with itan elede. Get this straight, I am not going to argue nonsense with you. Another one of you will soon open another topic on the same thing trying your luck to see what will stick. Usurpers. Why this Lagos from all these ignoramus, all the time. What is wrong with your own sheethooli? gregyboy: |
Metaphysical, I am sick and tired of these captured slaves of Oranmiyan and their surbodinates laying claims beyond their dream and reach. Now it is the turn of Esan. What type of insult is this? They cannot trace one piece of land to their ancestors except that piece of land less than a plot which has been taken over by the children of Alagba from Ilesha. There is something about this Lagos that everyone of them desires so much. No wonder the new generation wonder what their parents were smoking to accommodate so many. Time to deport all of them. |
What did I get wrong? Can you imagine another country with the status and reputation Nigeria had up to the 80s "mistakenly" treated that way. If you do not value what you have, demonize it and echo those who call you unprintable names while they feed on you, that is what you get. |
Anyone that cannot change the Zoo he was born into or free himself from shiithool has lost the right he cannot fight for at home, outside. I was reading about some Nigerian visitors in Crotia that were turned into refugees. They are ready to burn their own country but look for salvation in another man's land. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/12/11/world/europe/nigerian-migrants-croatia-table-tennis.html |
Op, poor you. You went to the wrong house. Next time go to the house of those that have not been exposed. That custom died many years ago. So many people and stories cannot be a lie. But then, there are Fulani, Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa that use their young wives for favors. I have heard about it in exchange for promotions, foreign exchange and rituals. If all these are lies, the one in Benue is a lie too. Nigerians must take out the log in their eyes before pointing to other ethnic groups. |
Nice try. I lost interest, when you could not define Ashipa at the beginning. A little further down the line, you define Ashipa as a Benin warrior that Oba Benin sent to Lagos to consolidate. People keep on making this mistake that Ashipa was Ashikpa or whatever from Benin. Ashipa is a popular name and title in most Yoruba land. Have you ever heard of Ashipa, the first king of Lagos? Lagos existed well before Benin ever ventured in. They came as visitors and were welcomed and given a place of abode. As they increased, they waged war against the Awori, the Idejo Chiefs. The war ended in a standstill until the Benin Leader was killed. It was Ashipa, from Lagos and Idejo General that carried him home to Benin. The gesture impressed Oba Benin and blessed Ashipa king as a compromise acceptable to all. The reason the Benin were accepted in the first place, was the lingual franca spoken by Oba relatives in their palace. Any Edo that does not speak that language or bear Yoruba name is not from the Royal family. Some of them have rejected Yoruba name today. Fine but history is history. They came to Lagos as Yoruba until they tried to take over. Up till today, the place given to Oba Benin chiefs has never expanded beyond the present Oba Palace. They cannot point to anywhere else that belong to them. Please note that all Oba Benin descendants ie sons in Lagos died off when their daughter that had Benin mother and Yoruba father could not have a son to become Oba. The daughter later married Alagba from Ilesha that gave birth to sons that are ruling till today. When the present Oba said that Oba Benin was his father, he spoke like a son that did not know his father or history. Somebody could have told him Alagba came from Ilesa. Cannot worry about each names and details. As for the other Yoruba settling around Lagos, you are right but failed on Ashipa from the beginning. |
There is no doubt that some parents go to the extreme. This is usually done by parents that were rascals from all angles and that have failed because of their ways. All they are saying is that, there are not going to be too failures in this house. Some of our parent never went this far, but most people today will never dare punish their kids the way we were punished. Some of us could have be right to call the Police. But in our days Police women took care of rascals. Police would beat you at the station. Mere mention of Police was enough to instill fear in you. Fast forward, every kidnapper, ritualist, 419 and drug kingpin started from a family. Every failure that rule our country today started from a family. Indeed, most of us today are thanking our Moms for instilling fear in us. You do not want her to even report you to Dad. Yeah, some parents went too far out of anger that they regretted later. |

Let give credit to Buhari of how Osinbajo, while acting as President, removed Daura as head of DSS within 24 hours after DSS invaded the House. Having admitted that, if the international organizations cannot count, those of you living in Nigeria should know better. Have you ever heard about Leadership, AIT, Thisday even Punch at one time or the other were pursued? So only journalists are members of Human or Civil Rights with blood in their veins. El Zazhaki, Dansuki, Kanu, Sowore and all the Diaspora publishers like Huhu News or whatever the name and others that were detained at the Airports are not journalists. It is this selective anethestia of the cerebellum by different interests that kills this Country https://www.nairaland.com/5577789/under-buhari-nigeria-records-worst |

Has the Mexicans or Chinese abandoned their stable food? Has burger in USA or fries and chips in UK been replaced? mrvitalis: |
Roy Chicago sang it is Lagos. Bomo eni ba Dara ka wi, obiri nbe l'Eko Ile. But Ondo has the finest women in Africa, in the world. Nobody exploit it out of cultural respect. I am not from Ondo. |
LAGOS—One of the largest restaurant chains in the largest economy in Africa keeps running out of chicken. Its name is Chicken Republic. In recent weeks, Nigeria has been in the grip of a run on chicken—a culinary conundrum since chicken and rice is the most popular pairing in Nigerian cuisine. Johnny Rockets ran out of wings. Mr. Bigg’s, a chain of chicken shops, has closed branches because it couldn’t source drumsticks. KFC branches are boasting that, unlike their rivals, they have a steady supply of their most important ingredient. In this country of 200 million, some of Nigeria’s most recognizable pop and movie stars have issued statements expressing the anger of consumers. https://www.wsj.com/articles/nigeria-cries-fowl-presidential-policy-makes-chicken-the-national-dish-a-rare-bird-11576097632?mod=hp_featst_pos3 |
In the first place, Fulani Igbo Yoruba are not the only ethnic groups in the country. We need a weak Center that allowes regions to rule themselves as they see fit in a federated unit. Ethnic leadership has never done anything for their people except use them to loot the country dry. Maybe you can point out what Fulani has done for the North with 80% of poverty in Nigeria consentrated in that region or what Ijaw President has done for Niger Delta that left his people worse off than he met them while boasting of the amount of billionaires he created. Stop advocating for three major ethnic groups. If anything, each should be banned while minority ethnic groups take their turns. Believe me, they will do exactly like their predecessors. Stop looking for salvation from the Center. This is what divides us. |
Terrorists blow up the Country, the People and infrastructure but Civil Right Activists beg for Justice in the Land. In Nigeria, the fear that that People living in abject Poverty will demand their fair share has gripped Buhari Government. Unfortunately, Cheer leaders are happy. |
I hate to say this. The fight will drain our foreign reserve. I wonder if Congo called Zaire then ever recovered from Ali v. Foreman fight especially now that we hold the undisputed heavy title as the capital of world's poverty. |
