Is it a compultion, a curse or an addiction.

Anyone claiming DSS did not pursue Sowore into the Court is either dss mole on PR, another paid assassin or a naive person in need of brain transplant.

So the Judge who had given Sowore an impossible bail condition before reducing it just panicked with his security and disfarahan for safety?

Anyone that glorified what is seen in this video no matter how you feel about Sowore is less than a human being and their types should be separated from humans.

Yoruba have and will always be the conscience of this Country. They have risen up even when non-Yoruba have been subjected to inhuman and brutal treatment.

It was a Yoruba man that brought Jonathan from obscurity and crowned him the President of this Country. OBJ with all his faults stood up to the cabals and defied them, even divided them to make Jonathan the acting President.

But for the protest and agitation of Yoruba activists supported by other well meaning Nigerians, the dead body of Yar'Adua could have been re elected as President.

When Yar'Adua was finally elected from North to South, those with the least amount of votes hijacked and monopolized his Government.

Nobody but Jonathan elected Buhari.

Those crying for him have never wished Nigeria well unless they chose the Executive Prime Minister, Military Ruler or President. They never wished other Region well unless they ruled them as Premier as ordained by their god.

What do they gain from all of these? Money, money, money but no character.
Money from imports, used or junk, with laundered money joined in a rat race by other Nigerians.

Why do you expect them to do anything else but celebrate as usual for inhuman treatment of others. They are even a disgrace to their own people of goodwill and regrets from the Government they misled.

Let them celebrate inhuman treatment of others and mourned the demise of Jonathan second term.

Igbo Amaka.

Not surprised. Actually if you don't write that many would be disappointed.

Now this last century Altine keep on coming up and recycled each time thousands of Igbo are appointed outside Igbo land.

Una nor dey taya?

madridsta007:
The first ever non-indigene who was elected to a serious role in the country was Usman Altine.
He was elected TWICE in the role of Mayor of Enugu. In today's political parlance, that would be the Chairman of a Local Government Area.

Enugu State is in the heart of South Eastern Nigeria.

People are generally inclusive and liberal as long as your host sees and agrees that the boundaries he set for you, you stay in it.
When you start demanding for greater benefits or start prospering beyond what your host deems is "acceptable" then that inclusivity will be torn apart.

Most of us make this mistake, sometimes when we are angry, including moi.

Northerners are not illiterates, most can read and write since they attend Islamic lessons from very young age.

The real problem is geared towards religion only which is as dangerous as schools that teach along Christian religion only.

Each learn, cram and express themselves along these lines. Instead of quoting Fagunwa, Achebe or Nkrumah, they quote Jesus and Mohammed.

Education must be broad and at least in more than one language otherwise with PhD, we may be called illiterates.

I think we should be very reflective. I do not want one drop of Igbo dropped not any other Nigerian.

Only Police and Army are legalized to kill. Only mad men argue without a gun with them. Like one Igbo lady friend told me sometime ago, if we cannot live together, we must separate to avoid killing one another.

I can never imagine growing up that relationship between Igbo and Yoruba can ever deteriorate to this point. I commend those that can find space to get along.

I love Rekhina and Metaphysical.

Logobenz0,

You are a loser and ignoramus illiterate, period.

Yoruba girls are the most dignified women in Nigeria. The only Hausa or Igbo that are privileged to marry a Yoruba woman are your chiefs and titled men. Otherwise, they will be given one.

Though I agree with Metaphysical that Igbo should be allowed to go their separate ways, I disagree with Igbo comparison with Boko Haram.

History of Boko Haram started with mayhems on Southerners and destruction of Churches. Their present accomplishment is self-destruct. I do not wish that on Igbo, let them go. Enough of Odi and Zaki Biam.

Yoruba Youths will never give the Igbo the same opportunities, tolerance and accommodation their fathers gave Igbo. Actually, Igbo hate to hear that, until they find their wish in their own Country of Biafra. They are still mad that Azikiwe did not rule the West and want nothing short of Lagos is within reach.

They would rather form a country with Hausa/Fulani than Yoruba. They undertand and accept one anothers' level and position. Not so with Yoruba.

Metaphysical, I agree with you, Let Igbo Go. Rekhina and others can stay as long as they respect Yoruba in their own land.

Logobenz0:

If there is one thing that unite Nigerians across the land, it is their inherent distaste for stealing.

But this anger on the hungry and the least defenseless people is misplaced as long as those that made money by the worst means are celebrated and hidden within ethnic enclaves.

He is right about health and education but wrong on agriculture.

He could have mentioned 20th century agriculture that reduced the number of farmers while increasing their produce as in USA.

But the best prevention from diseases is enough healthy and cheap food so that you don't have to spend more on diseases.

Medicine and innovation do not work on empty belly. We saw that during Ebola emergency. It is what you eat before diseases that matters because you may not be able to retain new food after.

This is why doctors and nurses order families to get their sick relatives fed before. Treatment.

Actually, food is all some people need and they rush them to hospital to burden over worked doctors, nurses and health workers and Assistants.

Why won't they be frustrated?

BBC Hausa must be tried in Sharia Court

In an interview with BBC Hausa, the first lady offered confirmation, albeit in a very cryptic way, that there had indeed been plans for President Buhari to take a second wife, by referring to a "promise of marriage". She also said that the purported bride-to-be was disappointed the marriage hadn't taken place.
Mrs Buhari said: "The person that promised her marriage didn't know it wasn't going to happen. She [believed to be Ms Farouq] didn't deny the marriage until the day passed."

Awolowo was a business man before he finished his degree in Commerce and left for London for his law degree.

He practiced real estate and law before he went into politics and practiced both law and real estate after politics.

His Newspaper as indicated below remains in print today.

Awolowo was never a billionaire in his lifetime, his holdings generate billions today. A wish that every business man can accomplish today.

Easy Money precludes lasting financial business success today.

oyatz:
Awolowo like all other mortals had his shortcomings but he was neither a Billionaire nor a thief.

He was comfortable but NOT rich. He was a successful business man and an outstanding Lawyer.

His Newspapers Empire, The Nigerian Tribune
& Sister Titles published by African Newspapers PLC (Established in 1949) is the oldest surviving newspapers in Nigeria and about the only Nigerian company being managed by the 3rd-4th Generation.

He was also a substantial shareholder in Nigerian Bottling Company and has reasonable Real Estate investments.

Awolowo, Azikiwe, Ahmadu Bello, Tafawa Bello, SLA Akinjola and many of the politicians of the First Republic didn't have mansions in London, USA, Dubai or Saudi Arabia.

Control of the Press is a Northern culture spreading to the South. Mainly because Sharia another inherited culture from religion never hold the oligarchy members responsible.

It does not work in the South. Not in these days of social media that escaped total scrutiny in Iran and Russia.

Even in the days of only Newspapers in Nigeria, they move from house to house to print.

Some people will always try to rewrite history right before our korokoro eyes.

Jonathan, the greatest hope Nigerians have ever had with votes across North and South.

A "saviour" from South-south that has been highly polluted as environmental disaster, yet shortchanged by greedy Nigerians. Highly educated and reflective.

Nevertheless, he was led into false sense of arrogance and massive looting leaving his environmental degradation area worse off than he met it.

He paved the way for Buhari. APC only assert in the election they won, not Tinubu.
