Politics › Racist Or True Nigerians Obsession With Money And Vanities by googi(op): 1:10pm On Nov 30, 2019
It is true that some Nigerians and certainly most of their leaders are not only obsessed with money and vanities, they worship money.

They sing and boast about it.

Boris Johnson is right.

Health › Re: Doctors Share Their Experiences With Nigerian Patients by googi: 8:26pm On Nov 28, 2019
Without reading everything here, people must realize that doctors are people too and they do bleed. I have been hard on physicians especially the new ones bragging about checking out of the country.

But please without their slave labor of long hours, no hospital in this world would run smoothly.

It is news when man bites dog but not when dog bites man. Doctors have their own frustration with patients too that are not funny especially in Nigeria where relatives and friends expect free treatment not to mention fraudster.

Do you know that in United States, the richest country in the world, people die daily for lack of health care and choice.

Even when Obamacare gives money to the states to cover more people and expand Medicare, some State governors refused to take it knowing that some people will die.

One of the most frustrating thing for Canadian doctors and nurses relocating back to Canada from US is when they watch patients die base on choice of treatment or medication.

So, some Nigerian medical doctors make a choice between starving their families to death or no payment no treatment.

Politics › Re: Ndidi Nwuneli Appointed Rockefeller Foundation Board Member by googi: 3:24pm On Nov 28, 2019
The credit here is to Rockefeller Foundation. They finally recognize the input, insight and capabilities of outsiders they claim they are trying to help.

While many of you are fighting over the lady of Igbo extraction, did you miss the Indian or Pakistani as the President.

Not only are Indians heads and founders of voluntary and political organizations, they also head many Fortune 500 including IBM.

What exactly is wrong with you guys that have never seen anything big and jubilate when you see Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba pictures each time you see them on walls in foreign countries?

No wonder other Africans cannot stand your empty vessels. Now the rest of the world are hating your guts too.

In the time being you have exposed the jungle in abject poverty you come from. You then wonder why they won't give you visa to turn their countries into what you have turned your own.

Zik, a man who brought Igbo into prominence in Nigeria is now under attack.

But look at where it is coming from. Ojukwu that Zik held in his hands as a baby failed to diminish him in Africa and at world stage.

It is this ignoramus that will do it.

Health › Re: Share Your Experience(s) With Nigerian Doctors by googi: 4:38am On Nov 27, 2019
Please do not blame lack of courtesy on doctors alone. It is a Nigerian thing.

In the hospitals they are always short staffed and when anyone is overwhelmed, the frustration shows in their service.

This is why those who could afford it go to private hospitals.

Moreover, residents are overworked. I hope those crazy hours has or would stop.

Primary Health Care died in Nigeria with Prof. Olikoye Kuti

While we remember Dr. Ameyor Adadevor, we must not forget Nurse Justina Obi Ejelonu who also had contact with Mr. Sawyer and died.

My Goss, just think about the few powerful Individuals bleeding this Country to death.

No company ever made profit to pay tax, individuals launder money, forex billionaires, bank executives run abroad with forex (what happened to Akingbola BTW?), Oil companies forgot to pay above $20.00 since the 80s.

There is nothing I wrote here that has not been confirmed. Carry your wahala go treat your personal problem and let others learn. Abroad is no longer a mystery.

It is wicked to come on line to spread misinformation so that others can break their neck getting out.

Politics › Re: The Richest Man Ever In The World Was African by googi: 3:40pm On Nov 25, 2019
Again, there is nothing I can argue with.

Actually, your conclusion of later events cannot have been anticipated by Mansa Musa then.

Nobody could have imagined that those Barbarians as labeled by ancient Greeks would have turned to vultures much later.

BTW, I love your work and presentations to a forum like this that many of us ignore.

Rosskiki:
You are roping too many time epochs into one in order to create a single chosen narrative, that Africans sold out themselves etc.

In the 1330s and for 500 years after that, Africans had no reason to fear, and experienced no major foreign invasions. They were militarily powerful. They had gold. What to do? Just keep the gold and hide it, out of fear that (500 years later) they would be invaded by powerful, greedy Europeans?? Of what profit would that be to them? Gold, like other treasures, are traded for profit. So they had to showcase their wares to a world largely ignorant about West and Central Africa. The reason Europeans invaded the continent centuries later was pure greed allied to military superiority. Nothing more, nothing less. Don't blame Africans for that.

Why do I smell envy from all the nonsense written above.
Envy, envy from who to who. Nobody envies someone if you have been there, done that and mentored others into the right ways.

Facts are stubborn fictions are easier to absorb. Those of us that have seen many misguided Nigerians wasting abroad must be wicked if we do not raise facts as many have done on this topic.

I feel sorry for your types because you will never learn until they post your picture wallowing on main streets abroad. Though I hate those doing that.

When I saw this, I saw another Nigerian taunting and ostentatious display to other Nigerians at home. If every Nigerian that has a house came to the social media to announce, how many pages would it take?

Mind you, those that drive cabs with their medical degrees waiting forever to pass exam or to get appointments as residents or those that settled as technicians and other jobs never come to social media to announce.

We all cry about money laundering, what about investment of skills laundering? Medical doctors are the most invested in. Rawling in his first coming detained some of them that came on holidays until they repaid the investment.

Thank God, we have enough Nigerians here who know how the system works abroad when you want to buy a house. Your credit history for about 5 years is important unless you get a cosigner.

Someone mentioned that those that qualified abroad as medical doctors cannot buy a house that fast, true but why?

Because of starving salary and long hours paid to resident doctors. Well, Nigerians always compare dollar or pound to naira. It looks big in naira but by the time you pay bills in pounds or dollars, you have little left.

Yes, that guy here is right about more Nigerians buying better houses in Nigeria but not everyone even think about social media like those that have never seen anything big in their life.

Nobody wrote about those that pull gburu day and night and die in the process on top of frustration abroad.

Nigerians, please fight at home where your fight gain more returns and stand a better chance in your own country than outside where you have less right, yes I wrote less right. Right is for their own not you.

Politics › Re: The Richest Man Ever In The World Was African by googi: 2:32am On Nov 25, 2019
Rosskiki, with all respect you are completely right as usual.

Africans are very generous and adventurous. A king in the league and caliber of Manda Musa could not have done less.

However, African gesture of humanity, civility and trade by barter were taken advantage of the way friendly American Indians were. They will continue to regret the day they rescued Colombus from the sea.

We may agree to disagree without being disagreeable that Manda Musa and the Queen of Sheba let out the secret that gold came from the South and raised their curiosity that led to both Christian and Muslim expedition.

We went on peaceful mission, they came to conquer.

Rosskiki:
This is a very unfair and misleading analysis.

Mana Musa lived in the 1330s!

A full 500 years before the colonial drive to grab the riches of Africa.

In HIS TIME and long afterwards, no power on earth could defeat the Mali Empire.

So he had the military power. He had wealth. What his empire lacked was exposure - for the outside world to know the Mali Empire - and increase trade and diplomatic relations thereby. So how do you do that? How do you show the world you are worthy to deal with?

Remember this was in the days before modern media, internet, radio, TV, etc.

What you do is exactly what Mansa Musa did. You send an impressive entourage laden with gold, silk and fine horses, to the nearest cosmopolitan hub. At the time - Cairo, Egypt.

And it paid off for his empire. He returned to Mali with new trade commitments from various nations, and was followed back by numerous intellectuals including architects and surveyors. The visit definitely increased the number of international students who studied at Mali's elite universities.

So please, don't use Mansa Musa the Great as a stick to beat Africans with. He was a superb leader who brought great wealth, peace, prosperity, and international reckoning to his empire.

I once watch a clip about a young beautiful talented girl saying if she was in America, her talent could have been welcomed, nourished and flourished.

Then the picture of a different girl that was hit in the head for organ transplant flashed across my eyes.

We must stop all these lies and propaganda for the whites to steal our money, resources and talents. Only to see our medical doctors driving cabs in their cherished countries.

It cannot be over emphasized or said enough, all blacks are scrutinized, haunted and suspected even if they are Angels.

60 Minutes featured a Nigerian money launderer some years ago. Even ethical American lawyers refused to work with them at "any fee".

Which country is losing?
Politics › Allen Onyema: Most Black Managers Must Be Above Par by googi(op): 3:51pm On Nov 24, 2019
The problem with moneymissroad Nigerians is the little exposure they have as managers in the business world in oyinbo countries.

You are obsessed with their countries but you did not grow up there, school there or live there long enough to experience the strike against black managers or even supervisors.

Your first degrees in Nigeria is not enough. You will hardly find a black man in any responsible position in business or academia that has not been tested to a breaking point.

All the lies that once you have money or talent you will be welcomed will shatter you dreams when you get there.

Keep your money, resources and talents in your country and fix it by revolt or revolution.

It is not about Igbo v. Yoruba v. Hausa

The reason Africans nor get sense is because they believe the fair tales in the bibble and Koran.

We are now using both books against ourselves to create business centers to buy more planes for pastors.

Mansa Kanka Musa was the richest man ever but he was another foolish African man that wasted African riches abroad just like his sister, the Queen of Sheba the richest woman ever.

Both exposed African riches to Vandals from Europe and Arab world.

You see how long Africans have been pludering get African resources.

It is a curse.

Most Nigerian business men steal Nigeria blind because they do not want to keep money in the country and in naira that is unpredictable.

This argument that everyone does this does not make sense. If everyone defrauded Nigeria for personal greed, by creating jobs where people are paid peanuts, by laundering forex that should be used for the needs of the poor, working class and creating middle class; it is fine because Amazon, Apple, Texaco, General Motors etc. do the same by hiding money where they pay least tax.

True, but look at how many middle-class jobs they create in each country, look at how much they pay in taxes in each country even where they pay little tax. And when they are caught how much fines and jail time they pay.

At the end of they day their wealth come back into their countries for infrastructure, schools, research, tax heaven as long as they give to charity.

In Nigeria, they take most of their money out! Foreign companies called partners help them take it out as Foreign Portfolio Investors.

Nigerians must stop crying about what about others doing the same. Fraud is fraud regardless of race or ethnicity.

Our billionaires are obsessed with storing riches outside and flaunting crumbs as "gifted", 17 Rose Royce for their harems like the king of Swaziland.

Africans please think and stop justifying exchanging gold for mirrors like your forefathers, like Mansa Kanka Musa or Queen of Sheba in the 20 century.
