Please, we need you guys to control the level at which some Atheists are DERAILING some Christians thread in this session place. Especially, Logic Mind and logicboy and mkmyers45. I am not in anyway against their freedom to post or contribute BUT many times, they don't contribute towards a christian thread but rather derail our christian discussion EVEN WHEN AN OP SAYS NO ATHEISTS IS NEEDED IN SUCH THREAD. I caught logicboy in his statement to constantly derail Christian thread, here is how I quote him below:

This is the kind of place I believe you will grow in the word of God except you just want to be a "church goer" but if you want to be spiritually sound like you said, then two factors are necessary - Small church that is just growing and that does BIBLE STUDY teachings.

This is my advice sir.

Like Kunle said, these Israelites had already spent 430 years serving the Egyptians already. Even if this king doesn't know about Joseph's act done to the former Pharaoh, he "probably" would have known how long the children of Israel had been in Egypt. Common, 430 years? Many people don die for many things sef,lol. I also see the fact that this Pharaoh was cruel in his heart and dealings in that, he still want to keep the children of Israel bound under bondage. Look at it here, Ex 1:7-13 nkjv

Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph. So let's correct bro Kunle in Love. You know me myself was kind of arrogant in some of my post in the past few months. God used Snowwy and one brother (Can't remember his I.D now) to bring me to order. I had to bring this to my consciousness every time am talking to people. Snowwy made me understand that, it is one thing to know something as a good teacher of the word of God and it is another thing to be able to communicate it without any sense/tune of arrogance.

When I replied people's post in few months/weeks past, I often use some tune of language that shows "know it all" and most times, you read me saying, people don't read their bible and are not student of the word. However, God used bro Snowwy and the other brother i was talking about to correct me and I realized they were telling me the truth.

Matthew presented Jesus as King and the Messiah that was promised
Mark presented Jesus as the servant
Luke presented Jesus as the son of man that saved man-kind from their sins

Many things are wrong in the body of Christ today. This is one of them. Is selling books wrong? No. But selling books and materials in the house of God is wrong. Some people can debate it that nothing is wrong in it but it is very clear in the scriptures that it is wrong.

First, I will encourage you NOT to always read into the text of God's word. Second, you need to do some "word" study when you really study of God's word. Third, the context explains everything. Having said this, check all other translations, none said it was "Pharoah" but it says, "a new king". It also says, "over" not "reign in or from". The text also went further to say, "which did not know Joseph". Now ask yourself this question, "assuming" i do something for you and that thing is so great that you never forget about it, do you think you will ever forget me? I believe your answer is NO. You might even go ahead to tell all your families about me and what I did for you right. The point here is that, this king that does not "know" Joseph is NOT the other Pharoah that "knew" Joseph and I will prove it with scriptures. History told us that this king is NOT from within Egypt as even the text says the same thing. However, let's leave history aside now and let's use scriptures to prove all things.

What did Joseph do? He saved the Egyptians from starvation by his administrative skill and Joseph enriched the other Pharoah's treasury. Pharoah is king term used for whoever becomes king and rule in Egypt. It is not a biological name. If it is, the whole kings that reigned in Egypt will not all be called Pharoah. Also, this king, new Pharoah did not "know" Joseph because Joseph had died in Genesis 50 so he wasn't remembered no more by the new administration.

Between Genesis 50 when Joseph dies and Exodus 1 when another king reigned in Egypt, at least more than 80 years had past and this we see in Acts 7:15-30+ nkjv

"So Jacob went down to Egypt; and he died, he and our fathers. "And they were carried back to Shechem and laid in the tomb that Abraham bought for a sum of money from the sons of Hamor, [the father] of Shechem. "But when the time of the promise drew near which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt "till another king arose who did not know Joseph. "This man dealt treacherously with our people, and oppressed our forefathers, making them expose their babies, so that they might not live. "At this time Moses was born, and was well pleasing to God; and he was brought up in his father's house for three months. "Now when he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren, the children of Israel......And when forty years had passed, an Angel of the Lord [fn] appeared to him in a flame of fire in a bush, in the wilderness of Mount Sinai.

The point am making here is, the king that arose that didn't "know" Joseph doesn't mean Joseph's name was not known but Joseph's name and acts wasn't known to the Egyptians/the new king anymore at the time this king reigned, so he didn't "know" Joseph in his time, neither did he "know" the how Joseph save Egypt in the past. The knowledge of "what" Joseph did had wiped out at the time this new king reigned. For this king not to "know" Joseph, it would therefore mean that time had past and even the administration of the first Pharaoh might have also died. We know about Joseph because he was remembered by the Hebrews but forgotten by the Egyptians, maybe not all Egyptians but this new king.

From my understanding, more than 80years had past before Exodus 1 account was written compare to Gen 50 and Acts 7. I want to "assume" (though not permitted when interpreting scriptures) that this king in Exodus one would not be the one that reigned after the Pharaoh of Joseph's time died. We are talking about more than 80 years when Moses was born in the account of Acts. I hope this makes sense a little bit but i will be willing to answer more question just in case you still don't understand. I will answer question 2 after we resolve this one, okay. God bless you.
