Pst Jo i respect you but please explain your words even if its on a new thread. God bless you
I think this is a good suggestion to Jo, since he had cleverly said he won't respond because he wasn't addressed properly and he came in on this thread so say that. Technically or indirectly, you agree she was talking to you or created this thread for you. Please, we will honour your person if you either respond here or create a new thread to answer the question. This one is bigger than you hmmm?

Ptolomeus:
I do not think a person should be guided solely by intuition.
The intuition without logic leads to disaster.
I do not think stealing a person on the bus for lack of intuition, but maybe that is within the possibilities.
They are life situations, in which neither god nor intuition have interference.Honestly I can not believe I'm reading this!!
I guess on that bus that had robbed all who believe in god NO!!
Please say a little common sense to post.
yes??
Where do you doubt someone's personal experience? Do you know when i came to Christ and how I lived my life? You don't know but let me help you with an hint. What if I don't board public transportation often and I often go on private family car? Just an hint for you.
Christianity EtcRe: Should I Continue With Mysticism? by Goshen360(m): 5:53pm On Mar 05, 2012
I am NOT a Mystics but I will rather advice you don't go back to it. Believe in the protection of God. My personal experience, Since i came to know God and his word, i have NEVER being robbed in a public transportation. God who keeps and watch over you does not sleep not slumber. This is not to mean that bad things don't happen to good people, It does happen. The fact that we are still in this world doesn't exclude us as Christians from bad things. It comes sometimes as test for our faith in God. Look at it this way, just like you are being tempted to return back to mystics because something bad happened is just a test of your faith. Please, don't go back.

You see the Israelites faced many wars physically and many things happened to them after they left Egypt but they wished they go back to Egypt but should they have gone back, the promises of God will not be fulfilled in their lives. Many of us Christians need to understand that today, we don't fight physical war today like the Christian of Israel did but those people they fought with are types and shadows of what today's Christians will also face.

Again, sometimes, God speaks to us in a very small still voice. Probably what you refer to as intuition. The anxieties of this life sometimes doesn't allow us to pay attention to the small still voice. We pay attention to others and too many things but little do we pay attention to ourselves, off course am not talking about bathing ourselves and the likes but paying attention to our inner man.

I hope this help you my dear sister. God bless you.

Habinger:
Operating the structural church as a family business

The false ministers “Nimrods” operate local churches as a family business; for instance, in their congregations, the husband will act as the senior pastor and their wives will act as second in command, followed by their children. It is not necessary that when a pastor dies that the wife or the children take over the church. God doesn’t require us to operate the church like a monarch.
THE SPIRIT OF GOD IS ONE AND GREAT. THIS SAME TOPIC GOD HAVE BEEN HITTING MY HEART WITH TODAY AND MY OTHER THREAD BUT I CHOSE TO THE MY RECENT THREAD FIRST HOPING TO DO THIS YOUR TOPIC NEXT WEEK. THE CHURCH BELONGS TO JESUS BUT RELIGIOUS MEN HAD PATTERNED THE CHURCH AS FAMILY ESTABLISHMENT WHERE WIFE TAKES OVER AFTER THE DEATH OF HUSBAND. THE LORD IS REALLY WORKING AND TIRED OF ALL THIS RELIGIOUS CEREMONIES. I TRUST GOD FOR A GREAT MOVES IN THIS END TIME. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU.

Christianity EtcRe: Do I Need To Be A Christian To Make It In Life? by Goshen360(m): 9:31pm On Mar 04, 2012
diluminati:
I am asking this question because i dont know what the main aim of christianity is today.
All i hear is prosperity preaching, tithes, offering etc.
I'm getting the impression that for you to make it in life you have to pay tithes, offering, and do religious stuffs
like Christians do.

But there are millionaires who are not even religious and atheists and other groups too making money and succeeding without these christian routines. For example Malachi says that if you don't pay tithes the devourer will come for you. But Oprah i guess, doesnt pay tithes to any church but she is still as rich as ever.
So i am asking, do i need christianity to really succeed in life, can't i make it without being a christian?
Mind you i am not talking about heaven and hell here, or salvation etc. I am just talking about making it in life.
No, You don't have to be a christian to make it in life. Being a Christian before success is not a criteria for God to bless you. Abraham was rich before the event he gave tithe to Melchizedek and we were not told that it was by giving tithe that he became rich. However, God wants us in fellowship with Him. God doesn't want us to take side with Satan and his works. The main purpose of God creating man is for fellowship with him.

The main purpose of Christianity is for people that will walk on earth like Jesus, act like Jesus, talk like Jesus, reflect Christ and that is why Christianity is named after Christ etc. Like someone said, many things are wrong in the church teachings today but i won't encourage you to look at those thing but i will encourage you to come closer to God. Salvation is a personal experience and when you stay alone in fellowship with God, God will manifest Himself to you.

I love you my sister. God bless you.
Christianity EtcRe: The Revelation And Truth About The "mystery" And "gimmick" Of The Prayer Shawl by Goshen360(op): 8:49pm On Mar 04, 2012
Acts 19:12

so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them. (NIV)

When handkerchiefs or aprons that had merely touched his skin were placed on sick people, they were healed of their diseases, and evil spirits were expelled. (NLT)

so that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them. (ESV)

so that handkerchiefs or aprons were even carried from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out. (NASB)

So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them. (KJV)

When handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched his skin were taken to the sick, their diseases left them and evil spirits went out of them. (ISV)

So also napkins or rags which were placed upon his robe or his body were brought and placed on the sick, and the diseases were departing from them; even demons were going out. (ABPE)

People would take handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched Paul's skin to those who were sick. Their sicknesses would be cured, and evil spirits would leave them. (GWT)

So that even there were brought from his body to the sick, handkerchiefs and aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the wicked spirits went out of them. (DRB)

insomuch that unto the sick were carried away from his body handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out. (ERV)

So that from his body were brought to the sick, handkerchiefs, or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them. (WBT)

so that even unto the ailing were brought from his body handkerchiefs or aprons, and the sicknesses departed from them; the evil spirits also went forth from them. (YLT)

Looking at the different translations, we clearly see in all these verses that, Paul never or didn't anoint their objects/aprons/handkerchiefs etc by himself but rather, the people who had sick ones at home, came to touch Paul's body or skin with whatever they came with and power or healing virtue came out of Paul to those materials. Such materials were then taken back to touch the sick ones who cannot come to where Paul was due to their sickness and they were healed.

To the contrary as you said, Paul didn't give it to the people not did Paul anoint materials for them. The mantle service people practice in churches today ARE ALL COUNTERFEIT. If not, they should touch their man of God with handkerchiefs and take to sick ones at home if they cannot bring the sick to such man of God.

Do you see the difference?

Joagbaje:
It's religious spirit in the sense that people religiously attach importance to objects than the holy spirit himself . Not recognising its the altar which sanctifies the gift. And that. Becomes idolatry. That's why some buy water from Jordan , oil from israel or cloth from jerusem.

Matthew 23:19
19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?

On the other hand , it's possible for a man of God to anoint object and cause the power of God to be transmitted through it for specific situations

Acts 19:12
12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.
Are you sure you understand this Acts 19:12 that you quoted to justify that a man of God can anoint object and cause the power of God to be transmitted through such objects for specific situation? Are you very sure you understand what happened in that verse? If you do, kindly pull up other translations up here on this thread and let's see what actually happened in that verse. I do not guess or think your claim is wrong but i say your claim is ACTUALLY WRONG.

its religious spirit. it has no spiritual power its as dead as ASO ÒKÈ
Kindly show us from the bible your understanding about your statement. We want the people of God to know weather it's a revelation or otherwise.

Joagbaje:
But its posible that a man of God can anointng any material for the sake of ministering to people
Again, kindly show us from the bible the understand of this your statement. We should not just speak our words but with a biblical verse to back up our words. As you know, one body but different parts. Also, one bible, different interpretations and that is why we have many issues in the body of Christ today. Kindly show us brother.

I think if we can get the bible verses from where these churches get their view from, then we can look at the issue. However, in my view and understanding, i don't think it is right neither is it biblical.
