The seeds referred to here are words, deeds, and attitudes that result from humble dependence upon the Spirit of God to work in and through us. This brings an increasing spiritual crop described as "everlasting life." This would be similar to Jesus' statement: "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10). This promises fullness of life now, and great rewards in glory later.

There's absolutely nothing wrong in selling these things in the church, it only become wrong if you're blackmailed into buying them. For instance by claiming you'll be specially blessed if you buy them in the church, if its not by force I don't see anything wrong in it, at least the church can use that avenue to raise money better than forcing members to sow seeds that'll never germinate talk less of bringing any fruits.

You if you know the gimmicks used in selling all the materials. You think the same pastor that wants to make money from his book will not use some sort of holy verses to back up his sales? Besides, i personally have problem with what the church had turned into. It is a place to feed God's people with the word of God not a place to sell. I hope you have a revelation of what happened in the temple that Jesus threw them out.

I attend a Pentecostal church here in the USA. Don't bother about the name. Weather oyedepo is fake or not, by his fruit you will know. When any man of God does anything wrong, i say the truth from bible view without mincing words. I had attended Winners when I was back in Nigeria but that doesn't make me support oyedepo when he does anything wrong. I hope you understand my point and where i stand now?

If na me talk am now, them go say i too dey criticize churches. All these things are ungodly acts being practiced in these churches. I love the church but i hate some deeds and practices in the church, hence you see me kill the deeds and not the breeds. May God help us.

My first advice to you is to seek the Lord through fasting and prayer as regards what the Lord wants you to study in university. Don't be in a hurry for the Lord will speak. Most times, when God speaks, it might really not be the thing that will suite your desire hence He uses the foolish things to confront the wisdom of this world.

Remember Jesus, when He wanted to start His purpose, he prayed and fasted 40 days, am not saying you should fast 40 days anyway but with that, He didn't make the wrong choice when He was to choose his disciples. You might say but he chose Judas, that is a mystery that am not talking about here anyway.

I strongly agree with all of you the church had abused many teachings of Jesus just to suite their own "Church" desires. Let's all keep our eyes open, watch and pray. You see, people of today just want to hide under certain bible verses that suits them and create all sorts of ungodly teachings out of such. I don't have to keep arguing or debating everyone but we all agree to the fact that support to ministers of God is biblical. However, fixed salary is baseless even as Apostle Paul they also quote did full time ministry plus also have a pattern of making his hands provide for his needs. The rights of an Apostle that Paul talked about was simply sharing and free will giving that doesn't stay fixed as if when Paul doesn't get his support, he will not live or provide for his needs. Everybody talks about preaching the gospel but few actually preach it. Most TV preachers collect money so that they can “take the gospel to all nations” but they never seem to actually proclaim the gospel. In fact most of the time you can watch so called Christian TV all day long and never once hear a presentation of the true gospel of the kingdom.

Jesus began his public ministry by saying,
The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. (Mark 1:15)

Before he departed back to heaven Jesus told the disciples, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15)

When Jesus was asked by His disciples to tell them what shall be the sign of His return and the end of the age he said, And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (Matt 24:14)

This "gospel of the kingdom" seems to be the central tenet of Jesus ministry. So, my question to you is this; what exactly is the gospel of the kingdom?

Ask many people what is the gospel and see what type of response you get. Many will say it is the good news. Some will say it is the first four books of the New Testament. Some will even relate it to doing good works like feeding the poor or bringing people to church. You see, the church today is so far from the truth that most don’t know and few can actually agree on what exactly constitutes the gospel of the kingdom.

Hence I bring on board for us to discuss. What exactly is the true gospel? I know that the gospel means the good news but can you specifically define what that good news is? Let the bible explain itself by definition of what the true Gospel is please, no head knowledge or vain words. Support your answer or view(s) with a bible verse please.

We are not forcing view here. This is purely one of mal-practices in the church and body of Christ. We are opening the bible to ourselves. When it is not mentioned in the bible, why do men make mountains or teachings to justify it? Support is support and it must not be fixed unlike salary. Bible validates support but not salary. I hope you get this sir?

Your problem is semantics. That the bible did not mention receipt of salary does not make it wrong. Wages/salary is a type of support so as far as I'm concerned it is valid.

The key here is motive - if people seek to preach motivated by money then that is wrong. However, simply being supported, even full time is not prohibited in the bible.

Someone along the line of our discussion had to help you. Ok. Tell us where in the bible is Apostles or Jesus received FIXED SUPPORT if you choose to say salary and support means same thing. We are waiting for you my dear. I am biblically for supporting ministers of the gospel and you can tell us the difference btw salary and support.
