SD like the midrange SD 615 or 625? Definitely not the 800/810 because you can't achieve a $130 price tag with these. Again, you cant compare the MediaTek's Deca-Core (10 cores) Helio X20 SoC (clocked up to 2.1GHz) with any of these SD SoC.

Can't definitely be the SD 615 or 625 because redmi note 3 pro already got the SD 650 which is way better than the SD 800/810

I use it a lot actually, rather than look for remote I just pull out my phone and use my Samsungs peel smart remote, good thing is it controls almost everything controllable at home, except for my decoder.

I sometimes use it to prank my friends when I go to their houses, like quietly switching off the TV while everyone is watching something very interesting ...lolz

There was a day I used it to punish some ladies watching Telemundo in a friend's shop. I switched off the tv and they thought it was faulty! After pretending to do some stuff on the TV to make it work, I would repeatedly switch it off again; causing tension among them cause my friend nor dey take nonsense at all

I know we are in Nigeria but can never enjoy a slow phone with big battery. For me a smart phone must be fast to be really called a smart phone. I don't need a big battery and my apps keep closing on me when I use them simultaneously. If I need my phone to be alive all day I'll get a Nokia torch

Uninstall some useless apps like Antivirus and battery savers, also uninstall apps you don't actually use/need, you know them.

he doesn't know much about utilities so it will be preferable for him to port to Global Stable and chill for it's MiUi8 update

Nope, only once did I notice fingerprint failure issues like I used to observe when I was on stable rom but was fixed after the next update. Chinese dev roms get updates every week.

Ok, you use redmi note 3, for redmi note 2 1 notable complain is battery drain. I experienced that first hand when I got mine. It came with a developer rom, I had to install the global rom to solve that. Since then I have never considered any developer rom.

I know coz I've been rocking miui 8 for over a month now on Chinese dev rom. trust me it's more stable than the so-called "stable" rom

bro, I did the update and can't find what I downloaded. I was asked to reboot which I did. But when I check my phone info, it's still the same custom ROM. How do I find what I downloaded so I can do the next thing?

Can't really tell where it should be, plus your phone on a computer and search for it or on your phone go to security, then tap 'cleaner'. After cleaning tap on 'deep clean', then tap' big files '. Scroll until you see the downloaded rom. When you find it, tap on it and click file. From there you can move it to any folder you want.

Wow, now that you are rooted, I can't guarantee if the normal process will be safe for you. Mine is rooted too but have not done any update since then. Am waiting for miui 8 global stable rom which should be out in a month's time. If you can't wait then you should visit the miui forum for help. The normal process is for you to tap on tools, then 'updater' then check for update. You can do the update and follow the next steps:
Connect your device to your Windows PC/laptop via a micro USB cable, and copy the ROM file you downloaded into the folder ‘downloaded_rom’(you can create the folder yourself if its not there already) in the internal storage of your device. Launch ‘Updater' app on your device, then click the ‘…’ icon at the top-right corner, select ‘Choose update package’, and choose the ROM file you’ve put in ‘downloaded_rom’.
After choosing the right ROM file, your device will begin upgrading. Your device should automatically boot to the new version when the update is completed.
