bharkarh:
please how do I go about it? Do I need to root the phone?.
Please kindly put me through. Thanks!

I will advise you to wait a bit for official release of miui 8. If you are not on global stable rom you might not get the OTA update on your phone. For now there are many bugs in the unofficial miui 8.

bharkarh:
the battery is a big headache. Will have to look for a power bank to keep me online.

Well, performance depends on usage; also the rom affects the battery performance. Ensure you have the global rom installed. Have not got reasons to use a power bank for now because I carry my charger wherever I go. Thank God quick charge is supported and the charger is very portable.

bharkarh:
thank bro. Xiaomi redmi note 2.

Great device apart from the poor battery performance, I use same device though.

bharkarh:
A new member of the colossus Xiaomi family. I've got a lot to learn famz. I greet the whole house!

You are welcome, u'll definitely not regret using xiaomi's miui. What device did you get by the way?

Thank God eyes are beginning to open, even all Antivirus apps na wash! Just consuming space, eating ram and draining your battery.

@Op, the chipset cannot be Mediatek Helio X10 and be clocked at 1.3GHz. The Helio X10 chip is the MT6795, and is clicked at 2.0 GHz. It can also be overclocked to 2.2GHz. This is thesame chipset used in infinix zero 3.

Stakekay1:
Pls help. Can't play music when the phone USB is connected to my CD, the CD player scan continuously without detecting the music file. I use redmi note 2 Thank you.

The issue is not with your, its with Android. They have discontinued that feature.

elijahdre:
This has been done in comparison to even redmi note 3 pro.
Here it is again from a first hand user and proud owner of both phones

This is my personal user experience about both Xiaomi redmi note 3 snapdragon version and LeEco le 2 :Both devices are of premium quality, but the design of LeEco is superb, It is all metal body while that of xiaomi has plastic on both edge and bottom of its back. Xiaomi redmi note 3 snapdragon beats LeEco le 2 in battery. Xiaomi is powered by 4,050 and on average usage it lasts for one and half days while LeEco is powered by 3,000. The UI of both devices are great and there are frequent updates for both devices. Internet connectivity and speed LeEco le 2 beats Xiaomi redmi note 3 snapdragon hands- down. When playing a graphic game I thought LeEco le 2 would lag but it didn't. I played Car Racing 3 on both Xiaomi redmi note 3 snapdragon version and LeEco le 2, it played flawlessly but after like 30 mins Xiaomi was hot a little while LeEco was still cool after one hour of playing the game, but for Frontline commando, shadow fight etc both performed excellently. On camera Mr Elijahdre snapped the same object from the same angle, LeEco le 2 is more clearer and detailed than xiaomi redmi note 3 SD. On sound quality and music both phones are great but I did not do the comparison. Finally, the two devices did not disappoint in performing day to day tasks. Miui 8 will soon be available for xiaomi users ( I like updates)

For the LeEco le 2 how do you cope with the lack of 3.5mm jack port. Is there any USB Type c to micro usb/3.5mm port?

Op, you dey vex oooo

This will encourage more of malpractices rather than hardwork

Smh, I pity the buyer then. Originals don't need much advert, the pics you posted shows it is chinko. Also that 128gig is written on your memory card does not make it genuine. By calculation if your phone is not genuine, your memory card most likely is not genuine too.

toluwanimi07:
Brand new bro gonna send the pics to you sef I have the mi4 tho they work exactly under xiaomi so d prices are lesser

toluwanimi07:

Igboid:
6-1x0+2÷2 = 7, using PEMDAS

6-1x0+2÷2 = 5, using BODMAS

I don't think PEMDAS and BODMAS are basically the same.

Yea, as has been spotted, both answers are the same as 7

franzis:
I was trying to upgrade to miui 8

I believe it's been bricked since official global stable rom is not out yet. Were you on developer rom or global?

Dam5reey:
Why are you not using yezz, Xolo, blu and the likes...
Do you also see this on gsmarena Disclaimer. We can not guarantee that the information on this page is 100% correct. ?

Is Gionee M5 plus on your so called Gsmarena...?[/b]

Those products you mentioned are there on gsmarena. Gsmarena and others like phonearena are like NAFDAC to most of us. Not saying products not listed there are necessarily fake/inferior, but trust me, you would likely go for products with NAFDAC number than those without.
Lastly, you can drive home your points without throwing insults. Like in any argument, it is your ability to convince (not compel) that counts. Thank you.

Nice post, thanks.

hustla:
Piece of s.hit phone
2gb ram In 2016,id rather buy the Xiaomi mi5. Even the 3Gig ram on the S6 edge looks out dated right now
Tecno should better step up

Haha! Not that I support tecno as per the pricing, but you can't compare both devices in anyway, neither by specs nor by pricing. The mi5 will get you 2 camon c9s plus change.

That's life, truely a time for everything! After all the good and bad times, there comes the time to die. RIP!

franzis:
are you in lagos ?, maybe u should give it a try

Sorry am in Warri

franzis:
u need to see how i have almost become an expert in flashing xiaomi phone, i have used every guide on their forum.. from glashing via twrp.. sp flash too, miphone flash, downgraded the miui rom.. but someone in the forum said if i have tried all and it doesnt still work then it might be a hardware problem

Wow! But still don't believe it is hardware problem

@Op,the solution is up there already. Go to miui forum and download the stock rom. You will get better help there.

olayinkajnr:
I can see you are a fan on AMD laptops. Can you specify new generation AMD gaming laptops for me?

Not actually a fan, but believe in real life experience rather than paper specs and biased generalisation

henry457:
It depend on what u want to use it 4.i just purchased quad core i7 from ebay a month ago at a rate of $1500 London used bt like new.it came with 16GB RAM,3.1Ghz processor with turbo boost 3.8Ghz,(8 proocessor),3 internal HDD(1TB normal hard drive,500GB SSD,32GB msata SSD),full HD screen,4 USB 3.0,backlight keyboard, speaker are subwoofer, etc.i bought dis laptop with dis specification 4 professional course and programs am currently running.so if what you are using it is 4 minor jobs,u can go with system with atleast 4GB ram,2.1-2.5GHz cpu, volume of hard disk is not mostly a problem in system because the can b upgraded to any volume at anytime, etc

You av got a real machine here.

Darmielojuh:
This is a nice thread. I am about to get an HP 15 amd system wit 6gb ram ,1tb HDD , 2.2ghz , quad core A8, a friend told me amd's get easily heated and doesn't last long (durability).I want to know what you guys think cos i dont wanna end up with regrets

I can tell you this laptop is better than any Intel laptop at the same price range if your purpose of buying is gaming or multimedia. Durability depends on user, plus the heating issue is exaggerated! I don't see you regretting buying it.

Hope it has no fault? Otherwise you can state it so I know how to negotiate, thanks.

kulex2k1:
Well one mans meat is another mans poison......

I tell you! I believe many people here are referring to the old generation AMDs. I played PES 2016 on an AMD A6 laptop and enjoyed it with almost unnoticeable lag. The same laptop ran PES 2013 for more than a year without issues. A more expensive laptop running Intel core i3 could not even run PES 2013 without force closing in less than 15 seconds. In terms of price the Intel laptop was more expensive and had better specs on paper. My point is don't just go for name, and there are many AMD laptops out there that out perform many Intel variant. I agree Intel is the boss, but you don't just generalise like that. Remember the same argument between snapdragon and mtk devices? And some persons will gladly chose a snapdragon 400 device over an Mtk x10 because they believe so long it is snapdragon it is better.
