A Consultant Neurologist, Prof. Adesola Oguniyi, on Wednesday in Lagos said red pepper was a natural pain killer and an alternative to medication.
Oguniyi, who works with the University of Ibadan said that extracts from red pepper were essential in pain treatment.
"Studies have shown in some parts of the world that extracts from red pepper, especially the capsicum specie, can actually be used to treat pain.
"It is not the pepper that will be rubbed directly on the affected area; it is the extracts from it, which would have been processed in a laboratory.
"It is useful as a topical preparation; when you apply it on the skin, initially, it burns, but after a while, the person does not feel the pain again," he said.
According to Oguniyi, red pepper extract is safe for most people, although, it is not supposed to be applied directly on open wounds or irritated areas.
He said various types of mild and moderate pains could be controlled with red pepper extracts as an alternative to medication or medical procedures.
According to him, the extracts can be applied on the affected areas of pains such as back pains, cluster headaches, rheumatoid arthritis, shingles and nerve pains due to diabetes.

The parent to me shares part of the blame, for the deed to have been going on for a year without any of the parent observing anything, that is a big slap on them.
Secondly, i can bet it that those kids have never been given any s*x education at all.

If you actually said it gently and in a respecful manner, you've done nothing wrong and in no long time, she will come around and agree to your terms.

Btw, that is typical of so many Nigerian parents.

Do what is comfortable and convenient for you, but make sure you maintain a very healthy relationship with her.
She's showing you love the way she deem it fit, and you also have to reciprocate the love the way you deem it fit, considering that one day, you too will become a MIL.

This ia a clarion call to all we parents, no child is too young to be given s ex education.
Also, in my opinion, male and female children are not suppose to be sleeping together when they reach a certain age, for example, 8 years old.

As parents, they should know that male and female children are not suppose to be sleeping together.

In a very tragic occurrence, a 12-year-old boy tried to re-enact scenes from a porn film he watched in school by sexually assaulting his younger sister.
According to reports, the young boy searched for the hardcore films with a classmate on the school internet then went home to copy what he had seen.
Court records revealed that the boy (who could not be named for legal reasons) regularly shared a bedroom with his sister
Their parents discovered what was going on when the girl, who was under the age of 10, confided to a relative that her brother had touched her.
The boy was questioned by another family member and admitted having urges he could not control and knew what he was doing was wrong.
The court heard the sexual abuse had been going on for a year.
The boy was given a three-year youth rehabilitation order and will continue to live at the family home.
He was ordered to register as a sex offender for two-and-a-half years.

No wonder situations keep getting unbearable in Nigeria, abi how can we have effective health care without adequate funding? How can our educational institutions be furnished with necessary facilities needed to make education interesting and appealing when all the fund meant to do it have been taken to foreign land? How can there be industrialization in the country? How can our graduate youths get employed without industries being in place, etc

The fools gather up treasures for themselves without knowing who will enjoy it.
When they are gone, how much exactly are they taking along, not even when the money is not even taken away from the foreign land and nobody even knew it was there, not to talk about claiming it.
I just shake my head for our politicians. May God have mercy on them, touch their heart and let them wake up to reality of the vanity of this life. Amen.

A desperate man would have used his wife long ago,not waiting for when the marriage is 44+ old,and why would an old man engage in such,when he could have done it,while he was still young,and having money would be worthwhile.
