FamilyRe: Do You Set Your Clock Fast? by greatgod2012(f): 8:50pm On Jun 13, 2013
Yes, i do it, mine is 10 mins faster, purposely because of my kids. They dont know that i have fastforwarded the clock, so, if, for example, we are suppose to leave the house at 7am, at 6:58, my kids will still be telling me that"shebi there is still time", at 7:05, they will say, "shebi its just 5mins later", so, if eventuall we leave the house at exactly 7am, we are still on track, rather than when its not fastforwarded and its actually 10mins later, imagine!.
We are just trying to keep up with time.
May God help us all.
FamilyRe: Mucous In Baby's Poo..........is It Normal? by greatgod2012(f): 6:13pm On Jun 13, 2013
kendraloops: Began noticing mucous in my baby's poo when he was a little over 3weeks old n now he's almost 3months. Googled it n avnt gotten any definite answer. Some said to cut down on dairy,av done dat but it still persists. Seen a doc n e told me to cut down too but same ol same ol.
I just wanna know if its normal or sometin worth worrying about.
that is a sign that the baby has jedijedi(pile). If you are on exclusive bosom feeding, reduce your intake of sugary things, it might help.
Also, drink a lot of water, if the baby is 4months+, let him also take in more water. It helps.
Weldone and may our effort on them never be in vain.
My regards to you and the baby.
It is well.
FamilyRe: Is There A Happy Polygamous Home? by greatgod2012(f): 5:33pm On Jun 13, 2013
@jenny, believe me, there cant be real happiness and sincere good wishes from all the wives towards one another and even, it will extend to their children too.
Each of the wives would want their own children to be the one that will be more successful than other children from other wives. Its natural, its real, its the truth. Remember we are all human and we are all naturally selfish, sometimes, we may not know that we are selfish, but because its natural, we do some silly things unconsciously sometimes.
Once again.May God deliver us from deception.
FamilyRe: Is There A Happy Polygamous Home? by greatgod2012(f): 5:23pm On Jun 13, 2013
slimyem: I have never seen one. Most of the happiness they front is pretentious. No woman likes to share in truth.

Polygamy is so not the way to go. Anyone who has had a personal experience whether as a child, or parent will never advocate it.
The competition never ends both between the mothers and the children. Nothing is healthy about it.

The men themselves often regret it after a while but ego won't let them mouth it. The place of money is very different in this case.
thank you, its all about pretence, not REAL HAPPINESS.

Even among the children, its in most case, all about pretence.
May God deliver us from deception.
FamilyRe: Shhhhhh...i Am Pregnant by greatgod2012(f): 4:30pm On Jun 13, 2013
To each his or her own, as for me, i tell those who i consider are close to me immediately i discover im preganant, and the reason is, so that they can be praying for my "asokale ayo"(joyful delivery), and thank God so far, i never encounter any problem as regards pregnancy and delivery. Glory to God's name.

For those saying its after first trimester, thats what they want, and i respect their opinion.
May God help us all.
FamilyRe: Is There A Happy Polygamous Home? by greatgod2012(f): 4:20pm On Jun 13, 2013
Coogar, you are a liar, you aint a polygamist.
FamilyRe: Is There A Happy Polygamous Home? by greatgod2012(f): 4:18pm On Jun 13, 2013
bukatyne: Polygamy defeats the very purpose of marriage
thank you.
Marriage is an institution for "a man and a woman"
FamilyRe: Is There A Happy Polygamous Home? by greatgod2012(f): 3:43pm On Jun 13, 2013
coogar: a true muslim lady must accept the possibility of her husband marrying more than one wife. it's in the holy quaran. the ones that are not happy are fake muslims or not really deep in the religion.
and a true muslim must know how to treat them all equally. Cougar, as a human being, is it possible to treat the wives equally in ALL ASPECT of the marriage. Is it possible? Be sincere. Are you sure there wont be preference or favouritism when dealing with the wives. And that is why a very true muslim will not even dare it.
What about the children, can he like, treat and care for all of them equally, regardless of who the mother is?
FamilyRe: Is There A Happy Polygamous Home? by greatgod2012(f): 3:38pm On Jun 13, 2013
onila: men are dumb for marrying more than one wife
very dumb indeed, as far as im concerned, no normal-thinking man should marry more than a wife, except the first wife dies.
The disadvantages and dangers and negative effect that polygamy has on the family, especially on the children is far more than any benefit one can get from it, even, if there is any benefit at all.
May God help us all.
FamilyRe: Is There A Happy Polygamous Home? by greatgod2012(f): 3:31pm On Jun 13, 2013
coogar: religion has a big part to play in that. muslim ladies don't have any gripe with their husbands having more than one wife.
cougar! You are a liar, even, if islam approves polygamy, very many of these muslim women are not happy with their men for having additional wives, only that, they cant really fight for it, because of their religion, and even at that, many muslim women have refused to continue living with the man, once he has another wife/wives.
May God help us all.
FamilyRe: Is There A Happy Polygamous Home? by greatgod2012(f): 3:27pm On Jun 13, 2013
coogar: there are happy polygamous homes.....
it's only when there's no money you see strife and raw anger. i used to have an asian boss with 4 wives. the wives work as a team with mutual respect. they even go camping with the kids of the other wives for days!
cougar, its not only money that makes a family. That your boss family you talked about are only pretending, if you move or you are very conversant with the wives, you will see that they are only pretending to be happy, they are not REALLY happy with themselves, even, if the last 3 wives do not care, not the first wife, she cant be happy that her hubby betrayed her trust by marrying additional wives. You can only see the truth coming out when the man dies.
Again, "orisa je npe meji obinrin ko si".
May God help us all.
FamilyRe: Is There A Happy Polygamous Home? by greatgod2012(f): 3:21pm On Jun 13, 2013
babyosisi: Can you explain further
i am from a polygamous home, my dad had 3 wives, and even though, the wives pretends to be happy with one another, but they never really are, based on what each mother told/tell their children.
I wouldnt want to go into too much details here, you know we have diverse people here, and who knows, whether one or more of my half siblings are Nairalanders, but i still maintain my point, they may be pretending to be happy, but no real happiness in polygamous homes......mark the word......REAL. IT MEANS THERE MAY BE FAKE HAPPINESS, BUT NOT REAL HAPPINESS.
May God help us all.
FamilyRe: Is There A Happy Polygamous Home? by greatgod2012(f): 3:14pm On Jun 13, 2013
biolabee: I want to agree with the bolded but from commens of NL ladies who are supposedly empowered and are earning their own income, they still can't stomach sharing their man

Why is this so
because...."orisa je kinpe meji obinrin ko si"
whether the man is rich or not, no woman will want to share her man with another woman. Jealousy will always set in. We are all human.
FamilyRe: School Proprietor Caught Having Sex With 11-year-old Pupil by greatgod2012(f): 3:02pm On Jun 13, 2013
Chai!, dee goose pimples all over my body as im reading this.
I think this is becoming too rampant, no where is safe again, not even schools, anyway, may God help our female children and all of us.

@all parents, lets always keep telling our kids that no one is to touch any of their privates, if anyone dares it, they should shout on him and report such a person, but we can only achieve this when we come down to their levels and make them our friends, that is when they will be able to confide in us.
May God help us all.
FamilyRe: Is There A Happy Polygamous Home? by greatgod2012(f): 2:46pm On Jun 13, 2013
No, there is no happy polygamous home, they may be pretending to be happy, but, there is no real , i mean REAL happiness in polygamous home.
May God help us all.

FamilyRe: Tips To Becoming A Great Single Mum by greatgod2012(f): 6:28am On Jun 13, 2013
I always have this special respect for anyone i see or know who is a single parent but not promiscus. I doff my cap for them. Anything could have gone wrong.

Some of the people condemning them are worse, i mean, some of them have had several abortions done, and yet, they will open their mouth and be insulting those who are wise and couageous enough to have their baby and take care of them. Posterity will judge. Karma never dies, each and everyone of us will definately reap what we sow.
@single mums in the house, kudos to you!
Im not a single mum but i wont think it twice if there are better reasons for me to be one.
May God help us all.
FamilyRe: Tips To Becoming A Great Single Mum by greatgod2012(f): 6:20am On Jun 13, 2013
mollytinrox: I tire o. So you'd rather we aborted our precious kids because in a moment of passion we let a meat pole pour its sperm in us?

I'm waiting for the day anyone will insult me about being a single mother.

Some of the fawktards talking here have had countless abortions and are going to end up in the TTC thread and tell us how they swear to Thor they were untouched. I'm so proud of my decision to keep my baby, but if I had to do this again, I'll wait until I'm happily married to have him. Simple.

And the ones asking about abstinence, google secondary abstinence. Its very possible, very practisable. When you've got such a huge task as single handedly raising children, the least of your problems will be getting laid, I tell you.

If you think all these negativity and self imposed authority to judge will reduce the menace of teen pregnancy/promiscuity, keep it up. You apparently have the energy.

I got pregnant as a teen, and I've realised my mistakes. Hell, I'm still paying for them. But I'd choose that over not having my son(abortion) and gloating about being a virgin on NL.
kudos to you!!!
May God continue to bless you.
I admire your wisdom and courage.
It is well with you and your son.
My regards to him, hes lucky to have someone like you.
FamilyRe: Tips To Becoming A Great Single Mum by greatgod2012(f): 6:17am On Jun 13, 2013
For those saying single motherhood should not be encouraged, yes, it should not, but some people just find themselves there, with no fault of theirs at all, like when the other partner dies, or he/she is abusive or he/she is dangerous to live with.
It is better to be a single mum than to be a victim of circumstances. For example, see Toyin Arowolo's case,(may her soul RIP), is it not better for her to be a single mum than be the dead?
It is better to be a single mum than staying with a man who plans to use his wife for money rituals, (strange but very real). I know a woman whom this happened to, but God found a way of delivering her, would you advise such a woman to continue staying with the woman, because single parenting should not be encouraged?
Is it not better to be a single mum than to stay with a man who suddenly join an armed robbery group, and you try to discourage him and he threaten to keep you silent forever. Should such a woman stay there, because single motherhod should not be encouraged?
What about widows, is it their fault that they are single mums?
May God help us all.

FamilyRe: My Husband Wants an Abortion by greatgod2012(f): 8:39pm On Jun 12, 2013
Are they truly married, if yes, then, tell your friend to have the baby, such controversial babies usually turn out right and well, and moreso, if God want to justify and suprise her, the baby will look exactly like the man, and if such happens, its the man that will aplogise to the woman and take up his responsibility towards the baby, as well as the mother.
Abortion is not an option, especially at this stage of their marriage. I pray to God to bless them and enable them financially and in every way they want Him to.
Peace.

FamilyRe: Help! My Son Stomach Got Bigger Suddenly Immediately After His Recovery by greatgod2012(f): 2:43am On Jun 12, 2013
Madam, please, may God bless you, i guess and believe that, this is not the appropriate place to ask what is wrong with your child, take him back to the hospital ASAP for proper diagnosis, evaluation and treatment.
Children are precious jewels that shouldnt be joked with, their health is so important beyond that.
I pray that, may God protect him and grant him speedy recovery IJN, and for you, may your effort on him never be in vain. Amen.
IT IS WELL.
FamilyRe: Religion Needs To Be Updated For The 21st Century - Agree/disagree/comment by greatgod2012(f): 10:08pm On Jun 11, 2013
tsmith: It's being a burning point on mind; but I feel religion has a lot to blame for most issues in the World today.

I am a Christian married to a muslim, but above these a realist! I feel the Bible, koran etc needs to be updated for the world today, and then constantly updated as life goes on. I think it is archaic applying laws from a few books written some 3000 years ago, to now. Especially as many are left to draw different conclusions depending on what views they choose to see. I don't want to believe that any God's aim is to confuse and cause chaos, but unfortunately these are some of the products of religion as it were.

This isn't a religous topic per say, but rather how religion interacts with everyday issues, e.g marriages, work, family, tribal, inter country and inter continent etc.

I'm signing off work now, and would be back with more my views and reasons why. But I would love to hear and feel from others also.
forget about what religion is doing or not doing, focus on yourself, be true with yourself, "you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free" focus on being good, doing good and treating others the way you will want them to treat you. When you go to church or msque, its noy what every cleric says that you must follow or do, you have conscience, you have brain, do not allow yourself to be buried in ignarance of what people are saying, no one knows you better except you, so, if there are some things in the scripture(bible and quaran) that do not go well with you, or you think its not right, why dont you change it to suit yourself and stop blaming religion for misdeeds of people. No one that does not know him/herself, if you are good to people, you yourself will know and if otherwise, you also know, you dont need anyone to tell you who you are or your aspirations/interest in you.
Let the change begings fron every individual, especially from you, so that, at the end of the day, we will reap what we sow.
May God help us all.

However, she wasnt the oldest to live on the earth, according to the bible, Methuselah was 996 years old when he died.
