If You want me to be sincere, when it comes to politics, the North is more empathetic to the feelings of the Igbos than so many other Southern Nationalities.

If the North Schemes Tinubu and Osinbajo out, the implications would be an overwhelming popularity of Peter Obi and Labour Party which the North is aware of so if the North go ahead to scheme those two out, the loud statements is that we prefer Peter Obi emerging the President than Tinubu or Osinbajo and as for Wike he had been solved already.

We don't know yet who Buhari's candidate is but anyone aside Tinubu or Osinbajo is going to bring a serious crack to the APC structure.

There are other body language that shows that despite a seeming rift between the East and North, in the deepest part both region recognize our cordial past.

So many of my friends up North are already in high spirit pairing Obi and Sanusi, while this may seem impossible at this point it shows the East and North is in a very clear mind about our desire to bond again.

How about the earlier desire of Kwankwaso to run alongside Peter Obi despite some mischievous permutations earlier that Obi is not marketable up North.

Even Atiku was in South East ensuring that he would only do one tenure just to show his empathy towards the Igbos, this is not forgetting that he chose Obi as running mate in the previous election and I tell you what if Atiku eventually wins, no one will cajole him not to run for second time as one good turn deserve another the most important thing is his concern for the Igbo nation.

I agree with you that the north are more empathetic towards President of Igbo extraction than Igbos themselves. Despite their clamour and threats for Presidency, 285 Igbo delegates votes, 4 Pdp igbo aspirants,yet Anyim got only 14 votes,the highest giving to the SE aspirants, where did the other votes go? To Atiku, because of dollars.
And yet Tinubu is the problem of the SE?

Imagine those clamouring for president,out of 285 votes they have,only Anyim got 14 votes, They gave the rest to Atiku because of dollars,sell outs. Pointing the way to their father's house with a left hand,God forbid.

He didn't abuse Dele momodu or rain curses on his tribe just because of his opinion. That is how mentally stable matured people respond to other people's political views. Unfortunately there's a dearth of such polished people like Peter on nairaland. Shame

I don't see myself as politically inclined that much,I follow local and world political trends just to keep up with the latest happenings in Nigeria and around the world. I hardly seat and watch political discussions on TV,infact watching politicians talking trash and feeling like the world starts and ends at their feet pisses me off, really.
I have never created a topic on political issues before and I don't visit politics section unless the topic made front-page. But I can't just ignore this question.
There have been clamour for President of Igbo extraction since the build up to 2019 election. Okay,the south east rallied around Atiku in 2019, with Peter Obi has running meet,which is understandable,as the chances of any southerner against PMB in 2019 is zero.
Fast forward to 2022, the clamour for President of South East extraction has been very loud and clear for some time now,and even socio cultural groups outside the south east also supports the move. I think this clamour gave lots of eastern politicians a push to enter the presidential race of both leading parties.
One of the leading political party in Nigeria,PDP just concluded it's Primaries and not surprisingly to some,Atiku a northerner won. But what is surprisingly to me and lots of people is the absolute poor showing of contenders from the south east.
Out of 4 aspirants,only one,Anyim Pius Anyim got 4 votes, the others got zero,nada like wtf is happening to southerners?
95 locals government in 5 SE states, 3 delegates per local government,making 285 votes. Yet this 285 Igbo sons and daughters, mothers and fathers,only gave one SE aspirant 4 Fu*king votes like wft
Who did the other 281delegates voted for?
Ohanaeze has been threatening brimstone and fire for the past few months, insisting that it must come to the east,yet all these Igbo delegates gave their votes out to who? Because of what?

But one thing you should understand is that challenges will come,if not handled properly,can lead to unhappiness, cheating or separation. Cancelling the crusade is not enough. The likes of Adeboye, Kumuyi, Oyedepo etc should all speak up about the separation of Nigeria. Then stick to 3G in your area,but when you get to another place, switch to 4g,to see if the 4g will now be better. If it happens the 4g is better in other areas you tried it,it means 4g network is poor in your area. But if the results stays the same,then something is wrong somewhere, either with your phone,SIM or internet settings.

Hope they will replicate the gesture by giving scholarships to hardworking and intelligent students from the community?
