*Dogo Daji Releases 4 Kebbi Students With 2 Babies After Ransom Payment* * As 6 remain in captivity After collecting a huge amount of money as ransom, a notorious bandit kingpin, Dogo Daji, has released four of the 11 remaining abducted students of the Federal Government Girls’ College Yauri, Kebbi State. According to PRNigeria, it was gathered that two of the released students returned with to babies delivered while in captivity. Dogo Daji had insisted that some conditions must be met by Kebbi State government before the remaining girls could be released. Sources added that the ransom had to be generated by parents and other stakeholders when Kebbi State government was reluctant to meet the bandits’ demands. The parents had to beg Nigerians to come to their aid financially in order to rescue their children from their abductors. In a letter addressed to all Nigerians in January 2023, which PRNigeria obtained, the group known as “Committee of Parents of 11 Abducted Students of F.G.C Birnin Yauri, Kebbi State, Nigeria,” passionately solicited financial assistance towards raising the sum of N100 million as ransom to be paid to the terrorists, in exchange for their children and wards. In the letter, the chairman and secretary of the ‘Committee of Parents, Salim Ka’oje and Mr. Daniel Alkali respectively, said their female children (aged between 12-16 years) had been in the custody of their abductors for about 20 months now. “…And the abductors are demanding the sum of N100 million before they release the girls,” they added. It would be recalled that the 11 female students were kidnapped when bandits invaded their school on June 17 2021. In November last year, it was reported that some of the girls had become teenage mothers, while about four others were pregnant at the time. https://leadership.ng/just-in-after-ransom-payment-bandit-kingpin-releases-4-kebbi-students-with-2-babies/ |

astonished: It's because of something like this that make people to vote Buhari into power,
All these never transform for being technocrats Buhari wasn't austere as a military president, he adopted that lifestyle years after he was forced out of office into prison. How can you expect Buhari that is barely literate without a single educational qualification and a disastrous tenure as a military president to be a technocrat? Buhari won on the altar of religion and tribe not competency, same also for Tinubu. |

Most Nigerians don't even understand the enormous challenge approaching us, let us keep voting and supporting evil along tribal and religious lines meanwhile most people born between 1979 and 1989 are already facing a real possibility that they would not be able to fund their retirement because their most useful age was spent in poverty thereby denying them the opportunity to accumulate savings and investment for their retirement age. Many of them married later than their parents or are still single due to the harsh economy. Their would die poor ad suffering in their old age, that's for those fortunate enough to reach old age. Most Nigerians don't just understand the coming challenges, if they do, they wouldn't allow these politicians to be deceiving them with tribal and religious differences. |

humilitypays: Everything about APC as a party is evil. Can't Nigerian youths see that APC is an evil party with a mission to destroy Nigerian youths in the guise of trying to make Nigeria better?
These foolish APC political leaders and actors are not even thinking of passing laws or bills to stop elected office holders and other government officials from going abroad to seek for medical care which would make politicians invest more in Nigerian health sector and boost the sector and make it more lucrative for the medical professionals, thereby naturally discouraging Nigerian medical professionals from even thinking of migrating abroad for greener pastures. Instead they are thinking like witches and wizards that hate progress of their citizens and countrymen and women, na wa oh.
Just take a look at the thinking of an APC lawmaker, very useless set of people.
Nigeria have a population of over 200 million and youths are the majority.
Nigeria have one of the worst graduate unemployment rate in the world where graduates struggle to find job after spending years in higher institutions. These fools aren't bothered about this crazy youth unemployment pandemic, instead they are worried about youths migrating abroad for greener pastures.
Don't these foolish political office holders know that if not for Nigerians in Diaspora, Nigeria's economy would have collapsed like that of Bangladesh ? The foreign direct and indirect remittances from Nigerians in diaspora is one of the reasons the foolishness of Nigerian leaders haven't buried Nigeria completely.
Why can't these guys think smart? Why cant these guys think of a way to harness these hot demand of medical professionals in western countries and help Nigerians?
Why not start encouraging more Nigerian pupils to study science from Secondary school using career guidance and counselors so that Nigeria will have more salable professionals that can be exported abroad to boost our dead economy?
Encourage more secondary school pupils to study science, tell universities to increase admission quota for Medical, Nursing, Radiography, Pharmacy, etc departments. Upgrade these departments and faculties, hire more lecturers, build more Nursing schools and churn out more of Nursing, Medical, etc graduates than allowing Nigerian children to be wasting time and scarce money studying marketing, public admin, mass communication, botany, petrochemical engineering, political science, accounting, law, and other unproductive, outdated courses that add no real value to Nigeria's economy at the present.
Lets emulate wise countries like India, Philippines, Kenya, etc who have secretly made it a national project to become highest producers and exporters of medical and technology professionals which is helping their economies grow faster?
Must we become enemy of progress in this country?
These medical professionals migrating abroad to work are saviors to their suffering families in Nigeria, most of them are the only reason their family members in Nigeria haven't been wiped out by Buhari/APC's induced hunger and poverty, they are helping Nigeria's economy a lot, why stop them instead of harnessing the opportunity to help more Nigerians wasting away jobless in Nigeria after graduation? Na wa oh, seems only fools get into political leadership positions in Nigeria oh, kai Peter Obi said the same thing as you. |

Mindlog: So after sponsoring my cousin at Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing Ihiala, this lawmaker think she will have no right to seek better professional opportunities outside Nigeria after graduation?🙄
Let them use the money they waste on foreign medical treatments to build more Nursing schools as there are thousands of Nigerian youths very eager to study Nursing and Nigeria can export their skills.
Kenya's then President in 2021, went to the UK and signed an agreement with the then PM, Boris Johnson to have UK officially recruit from Kenya , thousands of their unemployed nurses through the Kenya Government, who would get their cut on each Kenyan nurse recruited. this is exactly what Peter Obi said, that his government would invest more in education so that we would produce so many doctors that those that wants to leave can leave and those that wants to stay back can equally do so without us experiencing any shortage. Most Nigerian politicians aren't fit to run a nursery school talkless of a country. |

Prank calls are part of the growing up experience for many boys,he should be cautioned and let go. Taking him to court is a waste of public resources that can be better used for something else, the courts are already filled with more cases than they can handle, why add an unnecessary one on top? Police in organised western societies knows which case to be cautioned and the ones to be prosecuted in order not to overburden the justice system with irrelevant cases. |

After, thorough soul searching, I have discovered that my sole reason to desire marriage is to have children who I would do my best to give them a good upbringing and support (social/financial) so they would provide me with the support I need in my old age in true African fashion. Every other benefit like having a supportive (socially/financially) wife as a companion are mere niceties that would be we'll appreciated but not necessarily expected. Am I cold and soulless due to negative experiences with the female gender? What's your own reason for getting married or planning to do so? That's just the fundamental reason Kogi state governor didn't care about what the people of the state wants or ensuring equity but went ahead to bring in his stooge because he knew quite well with BAT at the centre he can manipulate INEC results. Thats the thing about cheating: if you leave the two people to be together full time, it will no longer be exciting for them. you did the right thing,in my experience, cheating partners never stops even after been caught and pleading for forgiveness. One problem with living a reckless akwuna akwuna lifestyle as a single person is that one loses the sense of sanctity associated with been faithful, they can't even understand why their partners are so hurt by their cheating actions rather than overlooking it,I can't even understand why people are so obsessed with sex when there are bills to be paid, houses to be built, businesses to be established plus many other fruitful ventures that can be pursued.
