CR777: My sister is a kind hearted girl, she's been this way since way back.
She gained admission into the university and the place she stays in lacks electricity as it is a village in anambra state, I had to get a solar for her to help her cope with charging her stuffs and also having an illuminated room.
Well, she made friends who are in the same department living in her lodge, at first, they only came to her to charge their phones and reading light and gist but it has now graduated to them eating up all her food whenever they come to her room to charge. She called today asking me to help her with cash for food stuff, this is someone that went back to school barely two weeks ago with enough cash and food stuffs.
In this life, please try and keep good heart aside and stand up to people who see you as a mugu.
Please nairalanders, how can I advice her? She needs a brain reset to understand that in life, one has to look out for oneself before others. Stop sending her money. When her friends see she is broke they will abandon her and she will learn who are her true friends. When her brain don reformat then you can send her money. Don't worry, she won't die |

Demigod22: I was my grandma's favorite child before her death last year. Since her death I am the only one seeing her in my dream. She always visit with gifts and bunch of money and always advising me to be strong.
Since her death I don't go to her house again, last time she visited me in my dream complaining how I don't visit her house again, she said she came to stay with me in school, after her death, with multiple dreams of her giving me money, to some extent I started having small pocket money in school.
Last time I dreamt, I was frying sweet potatoes and she came to give me money. Sometimes, in my dream, she will call me to her room and gave me bunch of money to count, immediately I finished counting the money, she will smile and disappear before I return the money to her. She is always coming to give me money and gifts in one way or the other, she is always complaining that because she died that is why I am hungry that I shouldn't worry.
In the whole family, I am the only one seeing her in my dream since her death, sometimes I get really scared. Can grandma love her grandchild even till death? Can anyone explain these things happening to me? Could it be spiritual love? Please I need explanation. Next time she appears tell her to transfer the money into your bank account so you can withdraw at the bank |

tensazangetsu20: Fuel costs havent remained the same. Why should transport costs be static? I don't think we are on the same page. Gerrard59: So, greed is the reason why there is no constant power supply to ensure proper storage? Why the Nigerian economy's growth rate is not outpacing the birth rate? So, when marauding Fulani herdsmen ransack farmlands in Plateau and Benue (predominately agrarian states) making hitherto farmers now refugees in their ancestral lands, food prices reduce but greed which is a human trait is the reason for high food prices? Greed, not Buhari's actions at border closure (lasted for more than a year) when demand for food was way beyond supply is the reason for the hike in food prices?
You people deserve high food prices and Buhari! You lots have not seen anything yet, by 2023, you will be forced to eat sand! You are blaming Buhari whereas I blame every single Nigerian sinfe 1960. Nigeria will always keep getting worse. The same way people look back at GEJ's era and say it the better is the same way we will look back at Buhari's era and say it is better because it always keeps getting worse. And Nigerians love celebrating nonsense |

tensazangetsu20: So haircut should still be 50 naira. The barbers will all die na. The point is things go up for no reason and it has always been so. I remember when I used to live in Lagos price of bus fare from Oshodi to Cele Ijesha was N50 but when it rains all of a sudden they start charging as much as N500 for the same distance. Now imagine a woman who went to buy Foodstuff for her restaurant from Oshodi meets this sudden increase she will have to add the excess funds to her plate of food to recover her money. Now the same bus driver and conductors will want to eat food and discover that the price for a plate of food is now, for instance, N500 instead of N200. That is an example of the Nigerian greed at work |

Gerrard59: So, greed - a driver behind capitalism and an integral part of humans - is behind high food prices not marauding Fulani herdsmen destroying farmlands in Benue, Taraba, Ogun, Plateau etc., and closure of borders? Greed comes first bro. I remember when I was in primary school and could buy a plate of food with N2. With N20 I was a big boy then. Now nko? I used cut my hair for N50 that year. I am partly Beninese and lived them for many many years as a child, lived there for one year as an adult and have relatives there can confidently say it is cheaper. And it is not just about being cheap it is also about price stability. You'll be surprised that they pay the same amount for a tin of milk today, for example, like they were paying 10 years ago or even more whereas we pay more than 100% for things within a 6 month to two year period at least. |

tensazangetsu20: I don't know about Benin but in Ghana you really don't get any value for your money. Internet is as expensive as Nigeria too and shitty or even more expensive sef. Food is very very costly. Rent too is very costly especially in Accra. You can relocate to other towns but they are more of villages than towns Jump and pass Ghana then I've stayed briefly in Cotonou sha and I can say it is way better than Nigeria. Good roads, cheap food, cheap housing, constant electricity, stable economy, cheap beer and cigarettes |

tensazangetsu20: Ghana, Gabon and Senegal are like 4 times more expensive than Nigeria. You need a very high income to survive in Ghana or na starvation levels you dey look likewise Gabon and Senegal. The only cheap place on that list seems to be Kenya at least from my research online but Ghana and Gabon I don personally go I wouldnt advise anyone to try it. But you get value for your money. Even Benin republic is better and cheaper than naija. |

Rictech: The 3 basic things of life(food, clothing & shelter) is really expensive here, not only food, but one can't do without food & shelter(a house built some 10 to 15years ago will be competing in rent with houses built within the last 2 years , landlord using cost of building materials as an excuse) Food is really expensive here, our locally produced foods are also expensive. A framer who produces Garri from his/her farm will tell you pam oil is expensive or that herdsmen doesn't allow them to go to farm. Look at 390naira(39ruppee) tomatoes in Mauritius as shared by petyprincess . See how fresh and cheap it is, in my local market, a neatly packed tomato like this will be around 600naira At all at all N800 bro |

A Nigerian american man once said, it is 10 times harder to survive in Nigeria than the US.
Western countries like USA has the best product with cheaper price.
South Korea has more food more than they can eat. They even throw away so much food
Nigeria don tired me I am tired of Nigeria. Same here bro. Even if you cannot go to Europe there are better African countries you can relocate to especially if you are a programmer, web designer, affiliate marketer, blogger etc. Countries like Ghana, Gabon, Senegal, Kenya, SA etc all have constant electricity, affordable high speed internet and limited inflation. If you earn in dollars and convert to their local currency you will really get value for your money and it is easier to get to non African countries from there. Naija is only getting worse mehn |

We pay more for internet here in Nigeria for really shit quality compared to our western counterparts. Even rent is more expensive depending on where you live.
