God communicates by remaining invincible It doesn't have enough manners to say "you are welcome" when you thank it for something you think it did. It communicates through pastorpreneurs and imams who charge 10% it's gullible followers' salaries for it's service. It communicates by NOT existing ![]() |
The relationship anyone has with any god is definitely personal. Since it, "God", only exists in the imagination of the one who believes in it and not in reality. |
God must be really petty and jobless to judge someone based on the kind of music they listen to. Little wonder it is always begging for money on Sundays ![]() |

jornie:Can the average Nigerian dial any emergency number and have an ambulance arrive within five minutes? Do we still use torch lights to carry out operations? Are the available good quality health care services affordable to the average Nigerian? Has the child mortality rate, at birth, reduced? The oil industry have witnessed some attempts of improvements lately, that's why we've had problems.... You know presently, atleast three of our refineries are up right?Yeah but the effects still cannot be felt. Have you felt it? Nigeria no longer imports toothpicks and many items we produce locally, importation of such products have being banned. That they have been banned doesn't mean no one import them. Ok then, name one company that produces toothpicks in Nigeria. Thank you |
5minsmadness:Don't long time me. You no sabi ask of person ![]() The modern Christian has interpreted that bit of scripture to mean that they shouldnt speak up when they see thier fellow human beings doing wrongThey also interpret that bit of the scripture to mean that people should speak up against them also. I scratch your back and you scratch my back. ![]() |
RichDad1:I agree with you. When a Nigerian says "Ghana is better", it would help if we actually aspire to become like/even better than our notion of how good Ghana or any other country is for that matter. Unfortunately, when most people say this the next thing that comes to mind is how to travel to those countries instead of thinking of how to contribute to the development of our country. Our sense of nationalism, if it ever existed, is dead. And religion dooesn't help because it teaches us to work hard to get the reward of an imaginary "paradise", instead of working towards making THIS world which is actually guaranteed and real a better place for all living things. "Vanity upon vanity" |
5minsmadness:The concept of the "thou shalt not judge" quote in the bible is simply to restrict people from criticizing and telling us the truth. It is an act of hypocrisy and most people who say this are fond of gossiping about other people's affairs. These same people will "judge" a petty theif and lynch the thief in the same breath as when they say "only god can judge me" But then, what does it really mean to "judge" someoone. From my simple perspective, a citizen can/should only be judged at the court of law after being charged if convicted after being accused of a crime within the jurisdiction of the law. Nigerians however, also practise jungle justice. Often, what most people regard as "judgement" is nothing but mere criticism or in some cases, the plain old obvious truth about a person. The "only god can judge me" line is simply an act to avoid being criticized or told the truth about ourselves. "You are wise to everyone when you say the truth about things but become an asshole when you tell everyone the truth about themselves"- George Carlin |
RichDad1:Is this justification of the state Nigeria is in presently? I doubt if the American government have ever SPENT the kind of money our leaders have LOOTED since 1960. Do you know how much has been spent of power generation in Nigeria over the past 50 years and still we are unable to produce 50,000MW of power? Do you know how much has been budgeted for road construction and still we have morore bad roads than good ones? Our healthcare system is in shambles, we have crude oil but import petrol products. We have bamboo but import toothpicks. We have fertile land but import food. Tomatoes! It is apparent our problems do not lie in the fact that we are a populated nation. Neither does your argument hold any water because the US might have been practising democracy sine their independence but we have all been existing since the beginning of mankind. It is the same amount of time used by developed countries to get to where they are that we have always had. Obviously, the issue here is our inability to conserve our time ![]() |
you are a very intelligent and observant person. Right from the border or even the airport, any body will see the disorganized setup of things in Nigeria, Nigerians still see 24 hr power supply as development ,while 99% of world countries see it as a normal necessity for daily human living. Good roads are no longer celebrated or even announced as Nigerians do .the truth is Nigeria still have a long way to go
() |
RichDad1:The 24 hour electricity is enough for most Nigerians to argue that other African countries are better than us. They have better health care and inflation is not as prevalent as Nigeria. In fact, whenever I come into Nigeria from any other country the difference is always clear from the border. It is obvious we are still very much confused on how to organize ourselves ![]() |

cyprus000:Hmm. Really enlightening. Thanks. Will parking a vehicle on the top of the soakaway affect it? My neighbour is pretty touchy whenever someone parks his car on it but the problem is that everyone have their space. Plus, he parks his car on his own soakaway |
cyprus000:Is there a way to build the soakaway so that it doesn't develop that problem in the long term? |

cyprus000:I live in a flat with my own kitchen and toilet and you see nothing wrong with my wife having to wash and then take it outside to the gutter? You go know people wey dey live for face me I face you by their comments ![]() |
sixtus3606:Dem no get joy. Na me send them make dem broke? The next place I am getting, the landlord MUST NOT live there ![]() |
NEVER RENT AN APARTMENT WHERE THE LANDLORD ALSO RESIDES LIVES IN. I have made that mistake and I know what I go through. If you fuel your gen and the landlord doesn't have fuel. Wahala If you go shopping. Wahala. That was how my landlord was advising me to tell my wife to pour dirty water OUTSIDE in the gutter after washing clothes so she won't fill up the soak-away. Silly ![]() |
Anas09:What is your proof that you rose from death and who exactly is Damaris Amarachi Grant-James? |
Well, they don't know her there. I believe she once met Steven Spielberg and he didn't know her either. Big deal. Besides, Americans don't support the kind of mediocrity Nigerians support in "Nollywood". What do you expect when we imitate everything and never create ours. More insults loading |
Ramon92:This is the exact book that popped into my mind when I saw the title of the thread. Read it back in secondary school and it changed my mentality. ![]() |
moscobabs:So, you are supporting that excellence shouldn't be celebrated? You are part of the problem in this country ![]() |
